Who: Everyone! But especially HARBINGERS!
When: S2:D16-22
Where: All over Wismuth!
What: As the Harbingers reveal themselves, those among the carnival that Creation has chosen will start to discover new powers within themselves. It's because they're magical girls, yo.
Warnings: Harbingers being assholes.

HARBINGERS OF VOID↴

On Day 16, the Harbingers begin revealing their new selves... in the form of wreaking havoc on the city! CY-Ren isn't looking for mass panic or serious structural damage - instead she wants constant annoyances and distractions, of the sort that will keep those that might be on her tail distracted from her true plans. However, when Creation is faced with the threat of twelve new Harbingers, it will have to fight in kind...

► HARBINGERS: Your job is to use your powers to create messes for other people to clean up! CY-Ren gives no specific instructions outside of a general framework... flex your powers! See what you can do. Don't destroy the city or anything, but give Creation a run for its money. She needs these civilians alive for her later plans.

► STAR GUARDIANS: Twelve members of the carnival have been chosen by Creation to fight in its name, even if they don't realize it yet. When confronted by the Harbinger's chaos, their Sparks will make themselves known in whatever form is appropriate to the character - and they will be asked if they are willing to use the power of their soul to fight the darkness. How this scene plays out can be flexible, but essentially they will find themselves faced with the question: are they willing to fight for the preservation of life? If they say yes, their Spark will emerge, and they will be able to trigger a magical girl transformation, as you do.

► CHARITY CONCERT: While everyone else is busy with the sudden rise of the Harbingers, CY-Ren's PR team is releasing a statement -- they will say that new information has revealed that there had been bomb threats made against the canceled concert, which are now being blamed for the damages. CY-Ren will make a personal statement, saying that in order to apologize for the failure of her previous performances, a new free to attend event is being planned for the near future - people who had tickets to the previous event and had to go home early get top priority!

"Eh..." is the only thing that manages to escape his mouth at such an out of place explanation. He was expecting a seamstress feud or a petty squabble but that is rather detailed and graphic.

"Your life is far too interesting. We really do need to have tea," he says with some laughable enjoyment from all of this.

"Well, show me something interesting then," he says in a partial demanding tone.

Never let it be said that Nui is boring. There are a lot of details about her life that she simply hasn't had the chance to reveal to her fellow Carnival workers. It hasn't come up in conversation, and she's not one for deeply personal conversations anyway. She'd much rather have fun, and when she's not having fun, focus on her job.

But the details that do slip out? Well, she's definitely more than just perky and cute.

"Maybe we can play in the obstacle course together sometime, too!" She wants to see what Tyki can do when he's cutting loose.

"These are just brand new powers, you know...I'm still not sure of what I can do."

It won't stop her from trying, though. The threads are the most like her life fibers, so she sends out the glowing pink threads at the void creatures, this time in a more elaborate pattern.

He can understand that given his affinity to wanting to have fun. He liked to laze about which is why he would likely never settle down with a proper family of his own. He was fine with that in the long run as long as he could have fun, do his job when needed, and then go back to his own lazy moods. Performance week got the most activity out of him by far. Sure, he hated working but he made fun out of it. There wasn't many opportunities to hunt or kill so here he expressed himself in other more challenging ways. The void was a bit refreshing.

"I have been meaning to test out the highest difficulty." He also wants to see what Nui can really do as well. There's just something about her he can't quite put his finger on.

He tilts his head at her when she replies to his question. As a Noah he didn't really have to learn his powers. He already knew what he could do upon awakening.

"Oh? Does that mean you can handle all the other settings, then?" she questions cheerfully. She doesn't mind having company while she plays if the other person can keep up.

Her powers are brand new and different. It seems that the old ones are still in tact, but she's quickly realizing that she's able to do things she couldn't before. There's a learning curve.

A void creature charges her, and instinctively she moves to fight it. The threads of light quickly weave together, crafting a glowing shield over herself.

"That's new, too. But it's pretty at least!"

"With ease," he says lazily as if the question wasn't entirely answered in a serious tone. He's not out to impress her as much as he was just answering it as honestly as possible.

Oh dear lord, that he hates by the way, there is so much glitter and sparkles he almost has the nerve to step back to avoid getting any of it on him. Thankfully they aren't actually corporeal enough to transfer to anyone else. It doesn't stop the grimace on his face in any case.

"Pretty. That's the word alright."

"Cool! I want to see you go all out one day!"

As if the situation couldn't get any weirder, a pink toy poodle shows up on the scene, appearing by Nui's side in a burst of pink light. Stranger still, she talks. "Guardian of Beauty," says the small dog-shaped familiar. "Hold your hands out together and focus your energy at the void creatues." Then the familiar turns to Tyki. "You may want to stand back, sir."

It's probably a good thing that Nui isn't one to get weirded out easily. In fact, she's often the one doing the weirding out, so she just takes the dog's advice. When she extends her hands together and focuses, out comes a beam of pink hearts. It obliterates the void monsters in one blast.

"Oh WOW that was cool!"

"I'll try to remember that"

He was fine with the whole transformation of herself into a Star Guardian. In fact, it kind of seemed to fit her and everything crazy she had going for her. It's different now. There's a poodle that appeared from pink light and sparkles. He is having a lot of trouble processing this even if he nods and allows his power to choose to drag him back and upwards into the air out of the way.

His face is deadpanning at the sight of those pink hearts. He's sure of it now. He has to be dreaming. This is just a bad dream, "Alright."

Nui just giggles at Tyki's reaction to all of this. For her part, she's enjoying herself immensely. There's more of a draw to protect civilians than she can ever recall feeling in the past, and she can only assume it's got something to do with her new Star Guardian abilities.

"Maybe you'll become a Star Guardian too, Tyki!" she teases. "This really is fun."

Look, Road might be crazy and cute but she doesn't come with sparkles or pink hearts. It's enough for him right now not to see that happened but here we are. She's too cute regardless and he should expect it from Nui.

"I sincerely hope I don't become a Star Guardian. You hear that Creation, piss off!" Tyki says gingerly with little to no backing to it. Just no, he would die if he had to sparkle like that. "If you say so."

Despite being in the middle of a fight, Nui bursts into a fit of giggles at Tyki telling off Creation. Perhaps it's something she's supposed to be affronted by as a Star Guardian, but she simply doesn't care. That's hilarious to her.

"But just think of the transformation sequence! And all the new abilities you could play with! Better watch out, or Creation might make you one just out of spite."

A Void creature gets dangerously close to her side, only to be impaled through the head without her even looking at it. Restraint? What's that?

He steps around her despite everything she's doing and he places a hand near her with a sweep of his hand almost in a kind gesture of protection before he fires off another round of Dark Matter. He has her back at least and in this odd dance of psychopaths they are still somehow carrying on a conversation.

"I'd sooner risk public devastation of my own personal image and rip off those ridiculous clothes than wear them if I was so given Creation's good grace," he says firmly. "...unless it didn't look half bad." He could adapt but the sparkles would be a little too much.

Nui's not used to anyone having her back, except for perhaps her mother, but she and her mother don't fight side by side. Her mother tells her what needs to be done, and like a good girl, she takes care of whatever problems are getting in the way of their family's company. Sometimes she goes off on her own - not even the people she's loyal to can fully control her. So it's somewhat of a surprise to see that Tyki is watching her back in all of this. A nice one, if she had to admit it to herself. Something like what a big brother might do.

"Creation seems to take your aesthetic into account," she notes, gesturing to her outfit. Aside from the white portions of the outfit, it was heavily accented with pink, and it covered more than some of the Star Guardian outfits. "You'd probably at least get pants instead of a skirt."

There's another heart shaped blast at some void creatures. It seems her only offense power is this beam. That's fine by her. She prefers to physically fight, anyway.

"You would rather I wear Creation's clothing over yours?" he says in a drawn out tease. He is wearing the shirt she made for him. Along with a few of his stuff tailored he also allowed her to make him something more casual yet still gentleman in nature. She put a lot of effort into her designs and he was well about praising her for her. In his world she would've been paid high for her services.

He snorts gently as he considers the way that some Star Guardian's look. Pants to booty shorts, shorts to skirts. He doubts her words but only because he's wary, "In any case, you seem to be handling your powers better already." Even if they were pink hearts.

That makes Nui pause. No, she's very attached to her models wearing her own creations, and she takes a lot of pride in everything she makes. "Well, gosh, when you put it that way...back off Creation! My models are mine!"

If this sounds a bit odd coming from one of Creation's chosen Star Guardians, it doesn't even register to Nui. Her familiar, however, has her face in her little paws and is shaking her head. "...of all the Star Guardians, I had to get the weirdo," she says with a sigh. "Focus, Guardian of Beauty! There are still Void creatures around us!"

"Oh yeah!" No time like the present to practice with those powers. She sends out more of the pink threads of light to bind the attacking void creatures. "I think I'm getting it now. Only the beam thingy can hurt them."

Tyki laughs, loud and long, at her sudden turn coat towards Creation and its way of just modeling star guardians when a spot came open. It's a wonder she is the way she is and he didn't honestly expect his bait to be taken so easily. "Of course, of course." And he's quite the handsome model.

Poor familiar. To get the crazy one and such an enabling opinion, "Well, since you seem to have things covered I might move on and see if I can catch up with someone else."

"All right, Tyki! See you around! Don't get hurt by a void creature or else I'll have to hunt them down and eviscerate them, kay?"

Of course, they both know she's probably going to do that to the void creatures anyway if she doesn't just blast them all with that heart beam of hers, but it's the thought that counts, right? She waves her goodbye and then turns back to the battle at hand. There is work to do, and though no one would ever expect her to be a saviour of a world, she's never been a slacker when something is important.
