What: As the Harbingers reveal themselves, those among the carnival that Creation has chosen will start to discover new powers within themselves. It's because they're magical girls, yo.

HARBINGERS OF VOID↴ On Day 16, the Harbingers begin revealing their new selves... in the form of wreaking havoc on the city! CY-Ren isn't looking for mass panic or serious structural damage - instead she wants constant annoyances and distractions, of the sort that will keep those that might be on her tail distracted from her true plans. However, when Creation is faced with the threat of twelve new Harbingers, it will have to fight in kind... ► HARBINGERS: Your job is to use your powers to create messes for other people to clean up! CY-Ren gives no specific instructions outside of a general framework... flex your powers! See what you can do. Don't destroy the city or anything, but give Creation a run for its money. She needs these civilians alive for her later plans. ► STAR GUARDIANS: Twelve members of the carnival have been chosen by Creation to fight in its name, even if they don't realize it yet. When confronted by the Harbinger's chaos, their Sparks will make themselves known in whatever form is appropriate to the character - and they will be asked if they are willing to use the power of their soul to fight the darkness. How this scene plays out can be flexible, but essentially they will find themselves faced with the question: are they willing to fight for the preservation of life? If they say yes, their Spark will emerge, and they will be able to trigger a magical girl transformation, as you do. ► CHARITY CONCERT: While everyone else is busy with the sudden rise of the Harbingers, CY-Ren's PR team is releasing a statement -- they will say that new information has revealed that there had been bomb threats made against the canceled concert, which are now being blamed for the damages. CY-Ren will make a personal statement, saying that in order to apologize for the failure of her previous performances, a new free to attend event is being planned for the near future - people who had tickets to the previous event and had to go home early get top priority!

The force of the roar ruffles Jasper's pleated skirt and makes her hair billow behind her, and she narrows her eyes, shifting in place to brace herself. When those gigantic jaws come down towards her she catches them with her brawny arms -- just. One hand is planted on Dupree's tongue, the other against the roof of his mouth, and she grimaces as she struggles to push back against the enormous t-rex's phenomenal bite force.

She's not going to ask for it, but she could potentially use some help here.

[periphrasing]

And help she shall get... In the form of Peribat just fucking. Flinging herself hard at one of Dupree's eyeballs, bouncing off, and then biting him on the scaly eyebrow.

Try getting that off with your dumb little arms.

[tacosgay]

Jesus fuck holy shit

Yeah, that distraction works; Dupree, whose INT is a nat 2, immediately falls back, away from Jasper, swinging that big scaly head side to side to attempt to make her stop. He roars in frustration and pain.

Unfortunately for Jasper, she doesn't manage to get out of Dupree's mouth by the time he starts shaking his head, which means she gets flung across the street and slams into a window display in a spray of broken glass.

[periphrasing]

Peridot gets flung off in the same direction, unable to keep her grip with Dupree thrashing around like that. This is fine, though; it's fine. She kept Jasper from getting poofed, that's the main important thing here. That's knowledge she'll comfort herself with, as she hits the outside of the building and bounces off of it like a squeaky toy, landing face down on the sidewalk.

I imagined her hitting the wall literally with a squeaky toy sound. A+

The pain fades-- finally, and Dupree turns to stalk towards the gems where they landed, furious, his head still aching dimly from that attack Jasper managed to land on him earlier. His head is held low and cocked slightly to the side to keep an eye on them, his mouth open, ready to snap up whoever isn't quick enough to get away from him.

Jasper's already getting up again, although there's glass in her hair and and she looks furious. This is where she would hang back for a second to pick the best route of attack, but one of the first things she notices is that her stupid familiar is right in the dinosaur's path.

"Ugh," she mutters, and charges in to get between them -- fist first, but there's only so much a fist can do against an entire t-rex.

[periphrasing]

Said 'stupid familiar' is pretty offended that Jasper has so little faith in her ability to handle herself. She was just about to get up and get out of the way on her own! Jeez.

Regardless, she pre-emptively changes into her larger dragon form; it's still a bit altered from the way she usually looks. More cutesy. More anime. But it's still a bigger creature with a lot more fighting capability than a bat or a tiny little Peridot would have normally. She launches into the air and circles, waiting for the right opportunity to assist.

... huh. That manages to confuse Dupree for a second-- though, with 2 INT, it doesn't spend too terribly long pondering why that green thing is suddenly a different green thing. Actually, it forgets entirely about her pretty quickly when it realizes that Jasper is still up and moving; it picks up a huge foot and attempts to crush Jasper beneath it.

She doesn't manage to get out of the way in time --that huge taloned foot comes down on her hard and Jasper ends up wedged underneath it, palms up, teeth gritted as she tries to push back against Dupree's immense weight and avoid just being mashed into the ground.
