What: As the Harbingers reveal themselves, those among the carnival that Creation has chosen will start to discover new powers within themselves. It's because they're magical girls, yo.

HARBINGERS OF VOID↴ On Day 16, the Harbingers begin revealing their new selves... in the form of wreaking havoc on the city! CY-Ren isn't looking for mass panic or serious structural damage - instead she wants constant annoyances and distractions, of the sort that will keep those that might be on her tail distracted from her true plans. However, when Creation is faced with the threat of twelve new Harbingers, it will have to fight in kind... ► HARBINGERS: Your job is to use your powers to create messes for other people to clean up! CY-Ren gives no specific instructions outside of a general framework... flex your powers! See what you can do. Don't destroy the city or anything, but give Creation a run for its money. She needs these civilians alive for her later plans. ► STAR GUARDIANS: Twelve members of the carnival have been chosen by Creation to fight in its name, even if they don't realize it yet. When confronted by the Harbinger's chaos, their Sparks will make themselves known in whatever form is appropriate to the character - and they will be asked if they are willing to use the power of their soul to fight the darkness. How this scene plays out can be flexible, but essentially they will find themselves faced with the question: are they willing to fight for the preservation of life? If they say yes, their Spark will emerge, and they will be able to trigger a magical girl transformation, as you do. ► CHARITY CONCERT: While everyone else is busy with the sudden rise of the Harbingers, CY-Ren's PR team is releasing a statement -- they will say that new information has revealed that there had been bomb threats made against the canceled concert, which are now being blamed for the damages. CY-Ren will make a personal statement, saying that in order to apologize for the failure of her previous performances, a new free to attend event is being planned for the near future - people who had tickets to the previous event and had to go home early get top priority!

9S peers a little more closely at the hair. Huh. Now that he's examinining it more thoroughly, she's right; it isn't the same composition as her actual hair.

Hair extensions? What's that? If androids wanted a change in hair style, that's a request that needs to be submitted, usually through an Operator. There's no need for hair extensions.

A girl who works patrol with a big sword? Hm. She doesn't know about the sword, but Reira doesn't work patrol and Rita doesn't use a sword, which leaves Miko and Connie of the people he knows.

"Connie?" She's smaller. 9S scratches the back of his head. "I ran into Lavellan. She was totally out of her mind! Can you believe she's working for CY-Ren!?"

Scout lets him look more closely at it. It does seem to be real human hair and the colors match - admittedly this is a brighter, less brownish red than her hair usually is, but the color's all consistent anyway. "I don't have this when I do the go-back-to-your-normal-outfit thing. Which is good. I like it short... all braided is okay, but I'd have to keep up a lot of maintenance on it."

"Yeah, I think that's her name. And... yeah, that seems to be how this went. All these people have been corrupted, like back at the Manor with those ones who showed up as servants, and now we have to get them back." More of this. Scout sighs. "Be easier if we could cut off some limbs in the process but one of them is our doctor, and I'm not sure the remaining medics could reattach them successfully."

9S lets out a mirthless laugh. "Yeah, it'd be a lot easier, huh?"

The only one he knew who could reattach limbs was Zecora, but she's gone now. Maybe she finished her contract. It was so unceremonious. ...He hopes others who finish with the Carnival don't just leave his life like that.

"I can try and locate them. They're pumped full of magic like we are. So... that means they would show up on the device the Ringmaster gave me. But we won't have a solution to returning them to their senses."

If only his hacking worked on them...

Scout is relieved that 9S doesn't seem scandalized by the suggestion. Emboldened, she goes on a bit. "My lightsaber is great for that. There wouldn't even be blood, or not much... oh, I suppose that's cruel, if there's another way. Maybe just stabbing them on low power, that hurts but it wouldn't cause any permanent damage." Believe her, she knows what it's like to be burned with a lightsaber on low power.

"Hey, that's a good idea. I can track someone, but I've got to have already met them first. And I think the solution's just going to have to be bringing them back to the Ringmaster and getting this done out here." Just like at the Manor, again. "Once CY-Ren is dead or whatever else we end up doing, her control will break. I hope."

Scout really doesn't like traitors. This isn't the same as turning to the Dark Side, not in the least, but it still gives her a tight, sick feeling in her gut. It's going to be strange talking to these people once this is over.

9S doesn't like this, either. Desertion had been harshly punished back home. The sick feeling that had gripped him when the mission to bring in three deserters had become a mission to eliminate them. It had hurt then, killing those androids.

It would hurt even more if they had to kill their own people who could not be returned to life.

And one of the missing people was Childermass, a Supervisor.

But those are ifs. Maybe the Ringmaster would be able to break the control. They wouldn't know unless they're able to take one in. "We're going to have to figure out something. What locations have you looked for the missing people, anyway?"

More than one Supervisor, honestly. There's still Carly. Silly though she is most of the time, she's not something to underestimate.

"I crossed Connie's path at the... what was it, sky port? These people aren't space travelers," says the space Scout. "I've been mostly going by... intuition, you could say? It's a big city and not every problem that gets people to talking is because of our people."
