What: As the Harbingers reveal themselves, those among the carnival that Creation has chosen will start to discover new powers within themselves. It's because they're magical girls, yo.

HARBINGERS OF VOID↴ On Day 16, the Harbingers begin revealing their new selves... in the form of wreaking havoc on the city! CY-Ren isn't looking for mass panic or serious structural damage - instead she wants constant annoyances and distractions, of the sort that will keep those that might be on her tail distracted from her true plans. However, when Creation is faced with the threat of twelve new Harbingers, it will have to fight in kind... ► HARBINGERS: Your job is to use your powers to create messes for other people to clean up! CY-Ren gives no specific instructions outside of a general framework... flex your powers! See what you can do. Don't destroy the city or anything, but give Creation a run for its money. She needs these civilians alive for her later plans. ► STAR GUARDIANS: Twelve members of the carnival have been chosen by Creation to fight in its name, even if they don't realize it yet. When confronted by the Harbinger's chaos, their Sparks will make themselves known in whatever form is appropriate to the character - and they will be asked if they are willing to use the power of their soul to fight the darkness. How this scene plays out can be flexible, but essentially they will find themselves faced with the question: are they willing to fight for the preservation of life? If they say yes, their Spark will emerge, and they will be able to trigger a magical girl transformation, as you do. ► CHARITY CONCERT: While everyone else is busy with the sudden rise of the Harbingers, CY-Ren's PR team is releasing a statement -- they will say that new information has revealed that there had been bomb threats made against the canceled concert, which are now being blamed for the damages. CY-Ren will make a personal statement, saying that in order to apologize for the failure of her previous performances, a new free to attend event is being planned for the near future - people who had tickets to the previous event and had to go home early get top priority!

It's such an obtuse thing to say. The only reason Lauren holds back his annoyance is because he knows he isn't any good with words or understanding people either. Still, it is starting to feel a lot like Cole is being purposefully difficult, like Susan when he insisted on asking 'why' over and over and over again.

"What I mean is I can't see her anymore, so I'd rather just forget it."

He pauses for a moment, looking at Lauren. Cole knows that sometimes people say things but don't really mean it. He also knows that Lauren might not know what he can do. But Lauren said he'd rather just forget it so maybe after Cole explained it...

If he can help someone by erasing one of their memories, then he'll do so. But he needs to be absolutely certain first. This isn't like home, where people won't see him again. There are consequences here.

"I can help with that," he simply says. "I can make people forget things. Only if it helps, though."

The statement surprises him, and he takes a step back as though afraid Cole will do it now.

"No. That's fine!" He feels nervous. "I just meant that metaphorically. Not literally."

[hurtcomfort]

"Oh."

Well that makes a lot of sense. Cole just kind of stares at Lauren for a moment, not entirely sure what to do next.

"I wouldn't do it unless asked. Not for coworkers," Cole explains, with an awkward little frown. Since Lauren's nervous, he's a bit nervous as well. Sure, he'll make random people who he'll never see again forget him, but coworkers are different!

And that's exactly the bit of logic that catches Lauren's thinking.

"So if you didn't know me you would have?"

[hurtcomfort]

"If it hurt enough. I don't think it does for you." This is a pain, but it's pain Lauren can live with. Memories of an ex girlfriend are different than some of the other hurts. It's smaller, livable. Ergo, Cole's going to leave it alone.

"Forgetting isn't bad. People just think it is."

As of right now, Lauren would agree with them, but it's an intriguing comment.

"What makes you say that?"

[hurtcomfort]

"Pain doesn't make you stronger. It doesn't make you you. It just makes you sad."

So many people defined themselves by their pain, what they suffered through and how that shaped them. But at least in Cole's mind, it's silly. Sometimes you need to forget the sad things and move on from them. People didn't realize that. They clung to the sad things like that was what solely mattered.

He opens his mouth to argue, and then closes it. He thinks about what Cole's said, turning it over in his head.

"I don't think that's true." he starts, after a moment. "Painful memories change the way you see the world. That's part of a person's identity."

Then he pauses, unsure if that made sense.

"Unless when you said 'You You,' you meant something besides identity."
