What: As the Harbingers reveal themselves, those among the carnival that Creation has chosen will start to discover new powers within themselves. It's because they're magical girls, yo.

HARBINGERS OF VOID↴ On Day 16, the Harbingers begin revealing their new selves... in the form of wreaking havoc on the city! CY-Ren isn't looking for mass panic or serious structural damage - instead she wants constant annoyances and distractions, of the sort that will keep those that might be on her tail distracted from her true plans. However, when Creation is faced with the threat of twelve new Harbingers, it will have to fight in kind... ► HARBINGERS: Your job is to use your powers to create messes for other people to clean up! CY-Ren gives no specific instructions outside of a general framework... flex your powers! See what you can do. Don't destroy the city or anything, but give Creation a run for its money. She needs these civilians alive for her later plans. ► STAR GUARDIANS: Twelve members of the carnival have been chosen by Creation to fight in its name, even if they don't realize it yet. When confronted by the Harbinger's chaos, their Sparks will make themselves known in whatever form is appropriate to the character - and they will be asked if they are willing to use the power of their soul to fight the darkness. How this scene plays out can be flexible, but essentially they will find themselves faced with the question: are they willing to fight for the preservation of life? If they say yes, their Spark will emerge, and they will be able to trigger a magical girl transformation, as you do. ► CHARITY CONCERT: While everyone else is busy with the sudden rise of the Harbingers, CY-Ren's PR team is releasing a statement -- they will say that new information has revealed that there had been bomb threats made against the canceled concert, which are now being blamed for the damages. CY-Ren will make a personal statement, saying that in order to apologize for the failure of her previous performances, a new free to attend event is being planned for the near future - people who had tickets to the previous event and had to go home early get top priority!

Jealous. Jealous of Rin. Ha. Ha h ah a ha. Pathetic, isn't it? Yukio is objectively better in so many ways, he's smarter, a better exorcist, more skilled, better behaved, more popular... he's everything Rin isn't but looking at Rin makes him remember everything he is not. He's pathetic, and selfish, and that jealously just makes it clear that he's so much worse than Rin in all the ways that really matter. What kind of person is this jealous of someone worse than them?

"You are!" He snaps, angry because he can't be anything else, and not making much sense. "You're stupid, you have no talent, and you're going to make a stupid decision and get yourself killed!"

He grabs at Rin's shirt and shakes him, more angry at himself than at his brother.

"So why--?"

Why? Why is he so jealous? Why is Rin so much more happy than him? Why is Rin the better son, the better person? Why did Father Fujimoto smile at Rin in a way he never looked at Yukio? Why does Rin have to save him every time? Why is Rin so confident, so strong, so much better?

[flashover]

Rin flinches as Yukio berates him. Stupid. Talentless. Going to get himself and everyone else hurt, or worse. It was all true, and it all stung like a hot knife. And yet... and yet? Yukio was still...?

He averts his eyes from his twin's, but does place his hands gently on Yukio's as they curl into his shirt.

"I'm... I'm sorry, Yukio. I... I'm sorry. I shouldn't've... I..."

He can't seem to find the proper words for what he wants to say. He shouldn't have said anything? He should have continued to live in ignorance of Yukio's despair?

What. What is it. What is the right answer?

[reflash]

He can't find the words and he can't even figure out what he wants to say. His hands fist so tightly in the fabric of Rin's shirt that his knuckles ache, and his lungs burn.

And he--

he lets go of Rin's shirt when his twin's attempt at speaking falters into nothing, and the burst of laughter that chokes its way out of his throat almost startles him. His life is a mess, and no amounts of desperate outbursts or admissions will fix it. It's a joke, and all he can do is laugh as he pulls back, the sound too loud in the alley as his ribs burn with the effort of trying to catch a breath.

"You shouldn't've? You didn't do anything, nii-san. This is all my fault!"

[flashover]

"No! Yukio! Its..."

With is shirt released, Rin is free to do as he wishes; which, in this case, is tangle his fingers in his hair. He wants to rip it out in chunks, to scratch his own skin, to feel anything other than the incredible turmoil he feels right now.

"... I'm leaving. I'm... I need to go back to the Carnival."

[reflash]

Just... forty five seconds, a minute ago, he'd said... something like "don't leave me" and something like "I need you" and all of this had just been "I can't do this, please save me, I'm too weak" and now Rin's leaving. "I'll do whatever you want me to" is just as empty as any other promise, just well-intentioned words.

"Fine!" He snaps (yells, really, his voice almost as loud as his laughter had been) as he shoves Rin away.

"Just go! Get out of my sight!"
