THE SUN RISES↴![]() After taking the time to rest, Ignatius and Gild will be able to pool together their energy to portal the carnival (and the airship) to the Summerlands. Those still in Polaris will be left to their own devices for the moment as Gild intends to ask for the Summerlands aid in relocating them, hopefully as soon as possible. With the effort the carnival put into sorting things out in there, however, they should be fine on their own for a little while, at least. They will arrive in the flowery fields at the base of the mountains, and soon the Summer Fae will notice their presence. Since the last time they visited, however, the atmosphere has changed. ► YOUR ARRIVAL: As the Summer Fae discover the group's arrival, it will quickly become apparent that there is a tension present that wasn't there any of the other times the carnival has visited. The Summer Maiden comes to greet the group personally, with an entourage of armed Summer Fae. They are not at all aggressive unless provoked, but there is clearly a wariness that is new. They seem uncertain about Ignatius being here, and while Gild will be able to do a lot of the talking and smooth things over, the Summer Maiden will deflect having a serious conversation about affairs until the carnival has taken time to 'rest.' It's more likely that the Maiden needs a moment to think over this new information before dealing with it. ► SUMMER CITY: After the Summer Fae become aware of everyone's presence, and the initial uncertainties are accommodated, they will invite you into their city. There are stairs that lead up the sides of the mountains, but thankfully there are also magical means of getting up there as well. The Summer Fae will be willing to help workers with the injured as needed, offering herbal remedies and healing magic to those that want it. You'll also be invited to join them for dinner, but it feels like more of a formality, and no one is obligated to take them up on it. ► SUMMER PEOPLE: The fae here will do their best to entertain these new visitors - but it doesn't seem that much happens here besides day after day of peaceful meditation and relaxation. It is not uncommon to see Summer Fae spent days doing exactly the same thing, whether that be enjoying the weather, listening to music, or dancing - the day and night periods may be similar to earth, but when you don't need rest it can all blur together just the same. Some of the fae work on feats of agriculture or craftsmanship, and while there is no particularly need to work in this place, they take pride in the fact that they do. ► FAMILIAR FACES: One very different thing about the Summerlands this go around is that there appears to be a small settlement built at the base of the mountains, filled entirely with the former residents of the Manor. Alyss and Reyna will explain that they set up a place to live down there with the Summer Fae's help, and that the fae seems to be trying to remain hands off except when they are needed. The Manor folk overall seem to be doing well, though there is some tension regarding their place in the Summerlands - they are clearly seen as refugees, and while the Summer Fae do their best to help them, the arrival of the carnival and the request for even more help with refugee aid seems to be making things awkward. ► OF THINGS TO COME: The Summer Maiden will remain distant for the first few days, but according to Gild and based on personal observation, it will seem that the news that the Ringmaster has been taken and the idea that even more desperate mortals are requesting to come here are putting her at significant ill ease. She's not rude or dismissive, but she seems reluctant to address the situation head on, though she has said that she will hold a meeting with the carnival later in the week to discuss everything in more detail. None of them seem particularly angry or resentful, but they seem to regard the carnival as an ill portent of things to come. |

Shura doesn't expect to find Tyki training in the fields, but it's a welcome sight indeed. She waits for a good moment, a pause in his repetitions or some other moment before she calls out to him, approaching with a grin.
"Lookin' good, Mister Tyki~" With her new duds, she's looking pleasant herself. "I like a man who looks cool like that, y'know."

He hasn't refitted himself with his facial and skin glamours, his stigmata still on full view especially with his hair pinned back in a tightly knitted ribbon, but he makes a point of cheerfully offering a relaxed smile all the same. As usual, he takes in her entire form from hair to toes. The outfit is fitting and he makes it rather obvious he's looking.
"Just as I enjoy a woman who isn't afraid to reveal herself to the world," he responds, humming in opportunist satisfaction at the compliment, "Thank you."
no subject
"You plannin' on playing around here for much longer, handsome?" She could watch, she'd be happy to have some kind of entertainment.
no subject
His hands flex at his sides as he lowers them, itching for a lot of things including a fight. Her words are laced with hidden intentions and he can't deny that he's on board, "I could be convinced to move elsewhere."
no subject
"Ha! I've known some clever guys, but none at slick as you." A face like hers got plenty of comments, some better than others. She extends her hand to him, beckoning with her palm down. "C'mon, c'mon. If you wanna butter me up like that, we should get something nice to eat. I haven't had any good sweets in a while." A little something sweet, something to drink, and a private spot to indulge. Shura hadn't forgotten how that evening in Polaris had ended, and she doubted that Tyki was feeling any more satisfied than she was with it.

The compliments keep coming and he's more than ready to take her hand when she offers it. His fingers squeeze around hers, giving him something to hold onto and distract himself. His ears perk at the mention of food. It was around that time that he should eat again and he had been meaning to take her out on a proper courting date. Still, he hated to ever be hungry and made a point of snacking on a daily basis. Food would warm him up, along with good company, and she was right in knowing he wanted far more than Polaris had to offer.
"That sounds perfect."
no subject
"I'm glad! It wouldn't be as fun if I went on my own." There was the entire matter of just where to get something to eat, but they could figure that out as they went. "Maybe we can share a cake? Something with fresh fruit sounds good."
no subject
"Hmm, that's acceptable. I know food here is of decent quality. It shouldn't be hard to find something like that," he muses. Even if they might have to just attend dinner and take something to go.

Things have just changed and the more he spends time here the more his view of his own world seems almost pointless, "Well, there isn't really a drink anyone here that is bad or of low quality."
no subject
"Of course not, these ain't the kind of people that are going to cheap out! 'Course, they could be the sort of faeries that just sip on nectar like in the nice kiddie stories." Or they could be eating the mortals and refugees they've agree to shelter, it could be going the other way around, but that isn't the point. "But if they got a specialty, then why not try it?"
no subject
"May as well," he replies, rather reserved right now and somewhat apologetic for the lack of flowing words he usually spouts. "I just want something strong, not that a lot can get me drunk enough I can't think anymore. So far only faerie ale and 'The cure' have done that."
no subject
“If that’s the case, then how about we skip over the dessert and get straight to the booze?” So maybe she was going to have the worst hangover after this, she’d take the risk of drinking on an empty stomach. “I haven’t had faerie ale before, so it’ll be a new experience for me.”
no subject
"Hmm, if we can find it, that should be no problem. I'm afraid I left all mine back at the Carnival." He feigns a pout, though it is obvious it is not his usual look. Thankfully, Tyki hadn't gone far from the city even if it is more than a short walk and if he had to knock on every established door to ever bar, living area, or food service for it, he would. Or find something equally as better.

"So we'll beg for somethin' to drink--I'm sure someone will have pity on us, they can't be wantin' to entertain us every night. Then it's deciding where to enjoy it. Somewhere nice and cozy sounds good to me~" Her bed or his, it didn't really matter, just as long as there was a lock on the door.
no subject
"Snatch and grab then, hmm? Well, I am staying in the refugee area at the moment so anywhere cozy is fine." Mostly her bed if she had somewhere more secluded. He doesn't know if the spider ladies would enjoy 'sounds' when trying to sleep and the cave did echo a little.
no subject
"I think I know a place, nya~" Her bed, yes. With no relation to any of the other refugees, Shura had accepted a room of her own. It was small, but there was a bed and she could come and go as she wanted, and that was really all she needed. And as soon as they convince someone to part with a bottle of good ale, Shura will take him there straightaway.
no subject
"I bet you do," he muses with the city at their next step or so and buildings getting closer. In her room where he would spend time pampering her body and worshiping every inch of her down to her new legs.
no subject
But no matter, they had their booze, now it was time to hurry to their private destination. While Shura's expression doesn't betray any sort of rush or impatience, she will keep up the flirting. reaching up to tuck her hair behind her ear, drawing her fingers down the side of her neck, over the fabric of her collar.
"You gotta be good to me if I drink too much of this stuff ♥"
no subject
She knows he's watching and paying attention. His little minx of a woman was an excellent manipulator and he allowed her to do it, mostly because he wanted to fall for such an easy trick. Tyki uses a more hands on approach, his tail creeping lower like it was trying to do it stealthily yet pressing enough to inch lower around her leg and thigh, humming thoughtfully at the feel of it.
"Name one time I haven't been good to you with or without alcohol~"
no subject
But that tail, that tail. It's a nice little tease, running along her bare skin, but it seems intent on taking a trail that Shura isn't quite prepared for him to take yet. When it nears the metal juncture of her leg, she's quick to catch him, circling her fingers around his tail and softly stroking down his fur, distracting and redirecting
"I've dreamed about how that night should have gone, you know. I've got some high expectations."
no subject
"Nnngh, I can't say I haven't thought about it either. You're not going to be disappointed nor will I be lazy with my hands and... well."
no subject
"You hands and your tail? Nyeheh, it's soft!" And perhaps a little risky, playing with him like this right out in the open. But they'll reach the place Shura's been staying at in just a moment soon enough, he can bear with the teasing. "I gotta to be just as good, don't I? I think I'll start by seeing if those ears are just soft as your tail~"
