I. Knock Knock
[It's probably TOO early for anyone to come knocking at your trailer door, and yet the sound of someone knocking echos through your new shared living space.]

Hello! It's time for the real orientation now. Wake up!

[The voice may not be familiar to you, but it's the Psionic, smiling despite the ungodly time of day you find yourself unfortunately awake for. He is looking specifically for Yuugi, Chiaki, Shadow Link, and Papyrus. But maybe you're unfortunate enough to room with one of those guys. Or maybe he got the wrong trailer by mistake?]

II. Introductions
[You're dressed you've eaten, and you ready to start the day! Or maybe not. Either way work is about to begin! Or is it?]

Okay welcome to the team everyone! We're going to do introductions first so, everyone say your name, your species, where you're from, and what you can do. I don't care how long you've worked here, we all need to know each other so everyone going to make an introduction.

[And he really means everyone. Looking at you Vets.]

III. Training
[Okay, now the work REALLY begins. For real. Probably.]

Okay, Bonnie, you'll be training with Ginko. Link, you're with Silver. Be nice.

[He gives Silver an "I'm Serious" look before continuing.]

And for the rest of you, we don't have anyone currently filling your position so you'll be training with me.

IV. Check In
How's it going?

[Psi suddenly comes up to see what you're working on and how well you're doing it. If you're training he's checking on that, if you're learning then he's checking on that. Did he catch you being productive? Or were you taking your too many minutes long break? Maybe you don't even work for his department?]

V. Break Time
[Finally you can relax after your first day of labour. The normally talkative Psi is strangely quiet as he sits in the cookhouse. Probably just because he's eating, but maybe there's something else that's bothering him. Or maybe you're more interested in bothering someone else on during your breaktime.]

[No judgment here. Not every crime, after all, is created equal -- especially in the wide cosmos from which she'd met all sorts of individuals.]

What does it matter if it was fair or not?

[He sighs, his frustration getting the best of him. He slumps in his seat, trying to force himself to remain calm.]

It doesn't change anything either way.

That is an important fact.
It determines how you should act.

[Zecora is patient, in much the same way as a glacier; she'll just keep gently pushing.]

Well I don't think it was fair. Obviously.

We were just trying to help people.

For helping others, I must say
The intent is good. What was the way?

We were just talking to them.

[He's whining and sulking, acting like some dumb kid. He can't help acting petulant when he thinks about what happened. The Psiioniic had done things he wasn't proud of in his life, but traveling with Signless wasn't one of them.]

We just wanted to change things.

Spending some small amount of time
In conversation is a crime?

[Zecora is pretty sure she's some distance away from the full story still.]

If you say the right thing or you've got the wrong color blood, then yeah, it is.

Then those who judge
Or form a grudge
Based on your crime
Aren't worth your time.
Instead you'll find

I'm not worried about making friends. I just wish home was something I actually wanted to go back to.

[Oh crap... He didn't mean to say that outloud. He slumps down, hiding his head in his arms on the table and groaning in frustration.]

Just forget it.

[The zebra regards him for a moment, before shaking her head slightly. There is much more going on here than she can address, but...]

I have advice, if you will take it:
Home is found where you make it.

[It's not like he's unfamiliar with the saying, it just feels wrong, leaving everything behind when he was supposed to be helping others. He nods, in many ways the carnival truly is like a home for him.]

I just wish everyone else could find a safe home too.

'Safe' is something this place is not.
But a little danger can produce a lot
Of growth and faith and trust and hope
So chin up, and try not to mope?

[He knows she's right. No place is ever truly safe anyway.]
