I. Knock Knock
[It's probably TOO early for anyone to come knocking at your trailer door, and yet the sound of someone knocking echos through your new shared living space.]

Hello! It's time for the real orientation now. Wake up!

[The voice may not be familiar to you, but it's the Psionic, smiling despite the ungodly time of day you find yourself unfortunately awake for. He is looking specifically for Yuugi, Chiaki, Shadow Link, and Papyrus. But maybe you're unfortunate enough to room with one of those guys. Or maybe he got the wrong trailer by mistake?]


II. Introductions
[You're dressed you've eaten, and you ready to start the day! Or maybe not. Either way work is about to begin! Or is it?]

Okay welcome to the team everyone! We're going to do introductions first so, everyone say your name, your species, where you're from, and what you can do. I don't care how long you've worked here, we all need to know each other so everyone going to make an introduction.

[And he really means everyone. Looking at you Vets.]


III. Training
[Okay, now the work REALLY begins. For real. Probably.]

Okay, Bonnie, you'll be training with Ginko. Link, you're with Silver. Be nice.

[He gives Silver an "I'm Serious" look before continuing.]

And for the rest of you, we don't have anyone currently filling your position so you'll be training with me.

IV. Check In
How's it going?

[Psi suddenly comes up to see what you're working on and how well you're doing it. If you're training he's checking on that, if you're learning then he's checking on that. Did he catch you being productive? Or were you taking your too many minutes long break? Maybe you don't even work for his department?]


V. Break Time
[Finally you can relax after your first day of labour. The normally talkative Psi is strangely quiet as he sits in the cookhouse. Probably just because he's eating, but maybe there's something else that's bothering him. Or maybe you're more interested in bothering someone else on during your breaktime.]

My name is Silver. I can't believe I have to say I'm a human - no, I didn't have the tail, claws, weird tongue, or pointed ears before I came here. I also am older than I look, so don't treat me like a kid. I'm just shorter than normal because of this place. Where I'm from doesn't matter because only one of you has heard of it and I already told her. I do pretty much everything around here. Don't get in my way and we won't have a problem.

[Boy, does he sound enthusiastic! He looks at his superior with a 'Are we done now?' expression.]

[ Silver's only a bit shorter than Chiaki, but the difference is still striking. If anyone around here looks particularly fae-like, it's him. ]

Mm... a well-rounded character build seems useful in a place like this...

[ She's halfway distracted by her handheld, which she's still playing on. Halfway through this dungeon. Don't distract her. ]

[He lifts an eyebrow at the girl and her game. The individual words he knows, but together they make zero sense.]

What?

... hey. Is that thing attached to your hands or something?

Hm? [ One hand drops off the controller as she looks slowly up at him. The other hand's still playing the game. ]

If you're good at everything, that means you've sunk a few points into a bunch of things, right? Like metalworking, stealth, combat...

[ ... She's gotten a bit off-topic, but it's only because Deus Ex is a really good game. ]

[He shakes his head with a grumble.]

You've been playing those things too much. It's scrambled your brain. Life isn't some video game.

[ Why did she bring her game console along-- well, whatever, she'll just introduce herself while she's playing this round. ]

I'm Chiaki... I'm helping run the games.

[ She guesses that's it. It should be pretty obvious that she's human, right? Cat ears notwithstanding. And she's from home, that should be pretty obvious too.

Yep, everything's checked off the list. She can go back to games. ]

What about that Super High Level School you were in or something?

[Okay so this part is just like high school. Yuugi gives a small sigh and goes after Chiaki.]

I'm Yuugi, also in the Gamer's Circle. Back home I'm known as the King of Games, and my grandpa runs a game shop that I help out with sometimes, so I guess it sort of fits. I'm eighteen, in my last year of high school and my hobbies are...well, games.

[Lame.]

If you're the king where's your crown?

[He waves a hand, laughing sheepishly.]

Oh, uh, no not that kind of king. It's only a title I was given when I won Duelist Kingdom. I kinda haven't been defeated since.

[Well, won and shared for a time, but he neglects to mention that.]

[Now that's interesting.]

At any game? Or just one specific kind?

I'm Medli. I'm a Rito, from Dragon Roost Island... I can fly and play the harp. I guess I'm good with animals, too, because Miss Ringmaster picked me to be a beast tamer... ?

[Zecora, as the doctor, takes a proactive interest in the health of everypony here -- and that includes mental health as well. So without a moment of hesitation, she walks up with her usual cheerful smile.]

Did something happen today?

[He looks over to Zecora as he finishes chewing his sandwich, before looking away, turning to think of what he should say. It's not like anything really happened, but it wouldn't be totally honest to say that nothing was bothering him either.]

I don't know. It's just been a while since we had a bunch of new people come in.

It just got me thinking I guess.

[The zebra parks herself on her haunches, the tail that sticks out from beneath her cloak pooling on the ground like liquid metal (which, these days, it is). Listening is a valuable tool in a doctor's arsenal.]

[He hesitates still, not only because he's a bit uncomfortable sharing, but also because he isn't even sure what to say.]

I guess just sometimes one of them will say something that makes me think of home.

[But it wasn't that he was homesick, that's not quite right, more like he wanted the home he never had. He laughs a bit at the realization.]

I guess I'm a little jealous.

[Jealous, hmm? Yes... difficult as he might find it, he SHOULD talk about it. Which means Zecora's task immediately becomes to get him to do just that.]
