Performance and Dreamcatchers

Who: Joker, those working entertainment, and whoever wants to do fun arts and crafts
When: The day after the orientation, and then after the ringmaster's announcement
Where: The Big Tent and one of the side stages, respectively
What: Joker gets his performing ducks all in a row, and then does an arts and crafts corner. As you do. Mingle log!

At around ten in the morning, as he told a few other workers and anyone who'd been listening in on the walkie talkies, Joker starts to radio in those who are working under him to meet up in the big top. Hope you had breakfast and not a hangover! Of course, for anyone who tries not to attend, Joker will cheerfully hunt them down and bother them into going.

Sorry, mandatory, you know how it is.

It's later in the day, after the ringleaders' own announcement, that eventually Joker makes another of himself, this time to the general channel. It's an invitation to one of the side stages to make dreamcatchers together, for anyone who still craves company or simply doesn't know what the hell a dreamcatcher even is. Along with that, Joker has taken it upon himself to make sure signs advertising this are plastered all over the carnival.

He drew them himself. Please appreciate the scribbled stars.

Okay. I'll stretch.

[Tamaki is good at throwing himself into work, especially the physical parts. He starts running through the stretches he normally does for dancing, which pretty thoroughly work out his arms and legs.

Whether Joker sticks around for the stretching or not, once Tamaki's done he'll look pretty eager to get started.]

Handwave training stuff?

[Well, it’s a good thing he’s eager- when he becomes hands on, Joker doesn’t have any intention of holding back at putting his performers through the ringer. Besides, training a newbie in such a sort amount of time? There’s not a second to waste.]

[At least he’s cheerful and pleasant to be around.]

[Tamaki does his best to keep up with everything Joker orders of him, staying focused on the task at hand. It's clear he's been held to rigorous standards before, and is dedicated to meeting them.

Once he's done, though, he flops almost immediately to the ground, panting and covered in sweat.]

Ah. I'm tired...

[He might fall asleep right here.]

Tired and impressive~.

[Joker is pretty sweaty himself, although he’s not nearly as bad as the one who actually had to go through all that training. It’s been a while since he’s been so hands on, but he’s glad for it. It makes him feel twitchy if he doesn’t stay up to speed.]

Sure yer not hungry, first?

[puddingemote]

[And just like that, Tamaki is sitting up again.]

Yes. Hungry.

[He's a teenage boy - basically a walking stomach.]

Thought so!

[Laughing loudly, Joker takes a look at everyone and seems to judge it well enough by his standards, because he gestures for Tamaki to follow after him.]

The good thing about this place is, because it travels so much, we get all sortsa food, and some of it really perks ya right back up. Koel’s an expert at making that kinda thing.

Koel? That's the cook?

[He's heard the name but hasn't met her yet. He's interested in what kinds of foods there are that he hasn't tried, though... and also interested to see if there is King's Pudding around. Old habits die hard.]

Yeah, head cook. We’ve only got her and one other, so treat ‘em kindly, won’t ya? It ain’t easy work, ta be cookin’ meals for a whole carnival.

Only two? For so many?

[That's surprising! Tamaki thought for sure there must be more.]

Should we cook our own food?

We had more, ha, but….

[A careless shrug.]

Folks leave, s’just how it is around here. So if ya meet anyone visitin’ the carnival who says they’re good at cooking, try ta convince ‘em ta stay! [He laughs.] In the meantime, if ya know how ta cook, I’m sure Koel wouldn’t mind a load off her shoulders, but ya don’t have ta worry.

I can make some things. I had to, where I lived before.

[IDOLiSH7 as a group has to cook most of their own meals, as the agency they work for isn't rich enough to have food cooked for them. Tamaki himself can mostly only make simple meals - it's Mitsuki who's the master cook.]

I don't mind.

Do whatever makes ya comfortable~. But at the end of a hard day, don’t be ashamed ta come have someone cook for ya. We’re all in this together, so we should all watch out for each other. Koel won’t mind at all, I promise.

Ah... okay.

[He flops back on the ground for a second, then pushes himself all the way back to his feet.]

Then let's go eat.

[He's easily persuaded.]
