Performance and Dreamcatchers

Who: Joker, those working entertainment, and whoever wants to do fun arts and crafts
When: The day after the orientation, and then after the ringmaster's announcement
Where: The Big Tent and one of the side stages, respectively
What: Joker gets his performing ducks all in a row, and then does an arts and crafts corner. As you do. Mingle log!

At around ten in the morning, as he told a few other workers and anyone who'd been listening in on the walkie talkies, Joker starts to radio in those who are working under him to meet up in the big top. Hope you had breakfast and not a hangover! Of course, for anyone who tries not to attend, Joker will cheerfully hunt them down and bother them into going.

Sorry, mandatory, you know how it is.

It's later in the day, after the ringleaders' own announcement, that eventually Joker makes another of himself, this time to the general channel. It's an invitation to one of the side stages to make dreamcatchers together, for anyone who still craves company or simply doesn't know what the hell a dreamcatcher even is. Along with that, Joker has taken it upon himself to make sure signs advertising this are plastered all over the carnival.

[ Mitsuki likes this person as soon as he uses both hands to wave, but after the part about being half-gem and then the list of talents, he definitely wants to talk to him. So, after all the introductions are over but before too many people are too invested in their rehearsing, he does just that. ]

Hi Steven! That's a long list of talents... were you a performer at home, too?

Um, kinda? Not professionally! But that makes sense because I'm still a kid.

My dad was a performer though so he taught me all of his stuff!

[otokogi]

It's not that weird for kids to be performers, especially if their parents are doing it. But it's good that you waited so you could learn more.

What kind of things were you wanting to help people with? I'm going to have a show on one of the side stages and I'm sure I could use a hand once in a while.

[starseedling]

Hmmm. Well, you know how when magicians do stuff on stage, they have like... someone in a sparkly outfit that dances and moves the boxes around and gets sawed in half sometimes?? I want to do that!

[A pause.]

But only fake sawing in half. I mean, I can do non magician stuff, too, but... that kind of thing!

[otokogi]

[ Mitsuki laughs a little, not unkindly--of course it's fake sawing in half, but he's so earnest about it. ]

Yeah, an assistant! Would you want the sparkly outfit and everything? You're already partway there, huh?

[ Mitsuki points to his own stomach, which is sadly unbejeweled. ]

[Steven looks down, confused, but then understands what he's referencing.]

Haha... yeah! But I want to go the whole way! It's a carnival, right? You gotta go big!
