Performance and Dreamcatchers

Who: Joker, those working entertainment, and whoever wants to do fun arts and crafts
When: The day after the orientation, and then after the ringmaster's announcement
Where: The Big Tent and one of the side stages, respectively
What: Joker gets his performing ducks all in a row, and then does an arts and crafts corner. As you do. Mingle log!

At around ten in the morning, as he told a few other workers and anyone who'd been listening in on the walkie talkies, Joker starts to radio in those who are working under him to meet up in the big top. Hope you had breakfast and not a hangover! Of course, for anyone who tries not to attend, Joker will cheerfully hunt them down and bother them into going.

Sorry, mandatory, you know how it is.

It's later in the day, after the ringleaders' own announcement, that eventually Joker makes another of himself, this time to the general channel. It's an invitation to one of the side stages to make dreamcatchers together, for anyone who still craves company or simply doesn't know what the hell a dreamcatcher even is. Along with that, Joker has taken it upon himself to make sure signs advertising this are plastered all over the carnival.

[Taking a break from aching fingers- no amount of flexibility keeps them fine forever- Joker is just wandering around a bit, and he chuckles at Yugi's frustration.]

[His jackal ears pin to the back of his head at the chuckle, running his fingers through his hair to scratch at the back of his head. He feels a bit like growling in frustration really but instead Yuugi just sighs in defeat.]

I don't get it. Is there some kind of trick?

[Chuckling in sympathy, Joker flops down in the seat besides him.]

Knowin’ how ta do it usually helps. Guessin' ya don't got much experience there.

If it's not a game I'm usually not interested.

[He folds his arms and drops them on the table before pressing his forehead to them with a huff.]

Oh yeah? What kinda games then?

[Maybe something new than the usual carnival fare, so that has his attention enough as he leans back to make sure he doesn’t get hit by any of those hair spikes.]

[He waves a hand before sitting himself up properly, leaning back in his seat. His attention is caught now, ears perking forward.]

Board, console, arcade. I'm particularly fond of card games.

[The sudden surge of interest is impossible for someone like Joker to miss, and he laughs a little.]

Only card games I know are things like old maid and post and pair. What games do ya know from back home, then?

Mmm? Well I know how to play old maid and poker, if we're talking about normal playing cards. My grandpa taught me. Bridge and blackjack were taught to me by a friend.

[Speaking of, didn't Pegasus kind of build Duel Monsters off of those types as well as the Egyptian influence? He didn't know.]

I mostly play Duel Monsters though.

Well with the new holographic systems that were built for it, I'd say it should be.

[Kaiba-kun really did some amazing work sometimes. Yuugi starts using his fingers to list off things.]

You have your standard monster cards, then you cna add a spell or trap card to help yourself or hinder your opponent. In Carly-san's time they have things called Synchro summons and tributes, not to mention speed spells.

[Holographic… He feels like he’s heard that before, but he really can’t remember what it means exactly. Oh well. He listens patiently to the explanation, head tilted to the side.]

Sounds like that kinda thing can get pretty complicated.

[It's kinda strange to admit, but even when there were new rules he tended to learn them quickly.]

I find it easy but maybe that's just me.

Well, everyone’s got their talents~. Sometimes it’s a game, sometimes it’s tightrope walkin’~.

Though I did get dragged into a ring that looked like a circus pavilion once, I've been in plenty of situations and I can tell you none of them involved tightrope walking.

[Which is probably a godsend in many ways. He nods.]

Yup. I've been doing Duel Monsters tournaments for a few years now.
