Performance and Dreamcatchers

Who: Joker, those working entertainment, and whoever wants to do fun arts and crafts
When: The day after the orientation, and then after the ringmaster's announcement
Where: The Big Tent and one of the side stages, respectively
What: Joker gets his performing ducks all in a row, and then does an arts and crafts corner. As you do. Mingle log!

At around ten in the morning, as he told a few other workers and anyone who'd been listening in on the walkie talkies, Joker starts to radio in those who are working under him to meet up in the big top. Hope you had breakfast and not a hangover! Of course, for anyone who tries not to attend, Joker will cheerfully hunt them down and bother them into going.

Sorry, mandatory, you know how it is.

It's later in the day, after the ringleaders' own announcement, that eventually Joker makes another of himself, this time to the general channel. It's an invitation to one of the side stages to make dreamcatchers together, for anyone who still craves company or simply doesn't know what the hell a dreamcatcher even is. Along with that, Joker has taken it upon himself to make sure signs advertising this are plastered all over the carnival.

Yeah! [No argument here, Joker.] Do you know what they do that thing where they change costumes half way through a performance? That would be so cool...

Y’know, actually…

[That’s reminded him of something, and Joker taps his chin.]

One time, y’know, I saw this one dress… and ya just gave a tug, and it became somethin’ entirely different. I’ll have ta talk with Tanyuu or someone, see if I can’t get that worked out for ya. I’m sure it’d be a nice little trick! Save time, if nothin’ else.

Awesome! I can shapeshift a little, but I can't really shapeshift new clothes, so that would be great. I can just do stuff like this!

[Steven's legs magically start to stretch out, making him far taller in way that is ridiculously disproportionate. He giggles and starts dancing back and forth on his stilt legs.]

Whoa there-

[Laughing a little, Joker takes a step back, looking over the kid.]

Yer just full of surprises, ain’t ya?

[starseedling]

Yeah! For everyone, including me.

[He closes his eyes to concentrate, and then shrinks his legs again. He doesn't actually like shapeshifting that much, most of the time, but it's not too bad anymore.]

I got all these powers from my mom but we didn't really know what I'd get, so sometimes stuff gets kind of crazy.

[pipers_son]

Yeah? Think it’s gonna be much of a problem? Wouldn’t want ya gettin’ inta trouble or anythin’.

[starseedling]

[He thinks for a second, then shakes his head.]

No, I don't think so! Usually its just stuff that is sort of inconvenient for me. [He flushes a little, realizing what he might have implies.] I haven't... I haven't hurt anyone, because of them.

[Not specifically because of the powers, anyway.]

[That’s all he needs to hear, then.]

Good! Since yer gonna be a more of an assistin’ role, that means ya should get ta know all the other performers and see who ya get along with. A role like yers, after all, means ya gotta have good chemistry with whoever yer workin’ wth~.

Think ya can do that?

[starseedling]

Yeah! [He perks right up again.] I love meeting people! I've already met some other performers who I'd like to work with! I told Medli I'd help protect her when she works with the animals!

[Oh god, why are all the small children going near the dangerous animals…]
