Performance and Dreamcatchers

Who: Joker, those working entertainment, and whoever wants to do fun arts and crafts
When: The day after the orientation, and then after the ringmaster's announcement
Where: The Big Tent and one of the side stages, respectively
What: Joker gets his performing ducks all in a row, and then does an arts and crafts corner. As you do. Mingle log!

At around ten in the morning, as he told a few other workers and anyone who'd been listening in on the walkie talkies, Joker starts to radio in those who are working under him to meet up in the big top. Hope you had breakfast and not a hangover! Of course, for anyone who tries not to attend, Joker will cheerfully hunt them down and bother them into going.

Sorry, mandatory, you know how it is.

It's later in the day, after the ringleaders' own announcement, that eventually Joker makes another of himself, this time to the general channel. It's an invitation to one of the side stages to make dreamcatchers together, for anyone who still craves company or simply doesn't know what the hell a dreamcatcher even is. Along with that, Joker has taken it upon himself to make sure signs advertising this are plastered all over the carnival.

He drew them himself. Please appreciate the scribbled stars.

[Frankly, he’s half expecting a dick move, and Joker casually shifts in preparation of something to happen. It’s not like he’ll do anything serious- he takes the “don’t harm your kin” rule seriously- but enough to easily duck his antlers down or make his wings a huge nuisance, that’s fine.]

[At least it’s just sparkly eyes and cutesy talk, which he can handle, and Joker places his chin on the back of his hand so he can shoot off a cheery smile of his own.]

Just makin’ ya work for yer give and take, ain’t I? Anyway, ta answer yer question, do ya really think I’m gonna go and make a dozen of these things or somethin’?

[ It's not like Junko would do something that'd make people suspicious of her out in the open, even to the people she's worked with for quite some time. ] Isn't that why I'm asking?? Geez! I may know everything, but....but, I dunno know everything!

[ She gestures with her hand before plopping down on the ground. ]

I mean, there's gotta be some reason why we're doin' all this? [ The unspoken """"this is a waste of time lol""" can nearly be heard. ] Unless we're still, like, welcomin' all the newbies or whatever.....

[Well, if all she’s in is a mood to complain, Joker can deal with that well enough. As she plops down, he hums and starts to get back to work with his fingers having to do some unnatural bends to slowly tie a knot.]

Nah, I doubt it. If she was interested in a bit of bondin’, then she’d organize somethin’ like this herself. There’s a reason for this, but, y’know how she is. Good luck gettin’ a straight answer outta her.

[Granted, Joker could give the attempt, but he really doesn’t want to. He has enough on his plate.]

Maybe it’s comin’ up with payment for one of our next destinations. Know anythin’ about dreamcatchers?

[ Junko scratches at the floor with her claws as Joker speaks. She’s already figured that much-- she’s even more elusive than herself. ]

Well… [ She leans back, looking off to the side. ] I can tell you that the public loves buying them, lmao. Their whole appeal is that it's something mystical and magical that regular people can use and feel special with. The other half is just for [ she pauses ] catching dreams. Y’know, what it’s supposed to do.

Could be payment too I guess. Ugh. I just don’t want to have to like, be on my toes or anything. It’s too much work for someone like me, y’know?

Well, if there is anythin’ she needs doin’, then more likely than not, it’ll get shafted off ta acquisitions or nightriders.

[Going back to his dreamcatcher, he starts to loop the string through the frame again.]

So us in performance don’t gotta worry about it. After all, it ain’t like she’s forcin’ us folks ta do this. Just the kindness of our hearts~.

Who cares about the nightriders anyway. It's not like they do any real work or anything. They just sit around on their asses for a couple weeks until we move to a new place. Talk about cushy living for being edgy.

[ He does have a point. This is literally not her problem at all and, quite frankly, she should treat it that way. Ahh...but if something interesting happens she has to shove herself in the action. ]
