Performance and Dreamcatchers

Who: Joker, those working entertainment, and whoever wants to do fun arts and crafts
When: The day after the orientation, and then after the ringmaster's announcement
Where: The Big Tent and one of the side stages, respectively
What: Joker gets his performing ducks all in a row, and then does an arts and crafts corner. As you do. Mingle log!

At around ten in the morning, as he told a few other workers and anyone who'd been listening in on the walkie talkies, Joker starts to radio in those who are working under him to meet up in the big top. Hope you had breakfast and not a hangover! Of course, for anyone who tries not to attend, Joker will cheerfully hunt them down and bother them into going.

Sorry, mandatory, you know how it is.

It's later in the day, after the ringleaders' own announcement, that eventually Joker makes another of himself, this time to the general channel. It's an invitation to one of the side stages to make dreamcatchers together, for anyone who still craves company or simply doesn't know what the hell a dreamcatcher even is. Along with that, Joker has taken it upon himself to make sure signs advertising this are plastered all over the carnival.

[ He turns the project over in his hands, trying to figure out which side should be the front versus the back. Or maybe it's supposed to look good from all sides. Unfortunately, it's not the prettiest looking thing from either side. But hopefully the wire will help clamp down the bits that are sticking out all over the place.

He glances over at John's work curiously. ]

Yours looks pretty good, [ he says generously. ]

[atouts]

[ He'll roll a spool of wire Goku's way, down the table towards him, then pick up where he left off on his current dreamcatcher. Silver wire, dark blue leather, and whatever purple and lighter blue decorations he could get together. ]

As do yours. [ He just needs to tie off the leather wrapping on this one and... there. Childermass holds it up, checking to make sure it'll stay together. ] This isn't at all what I expected to be doing here, but it isn't such a bad distraction, now is it?

[ He catches the spool as it rolls toward him. He pulls on a wire and it unravels, a long curly piece that he snips off with a pair of scissors. He cinches the wire around the piece he's working on, trying to keep things even and clean looking. ]

It's kinda fun! I've never made anything like this before.

So what d' they have you doing usually?

[atouts]

[ Current dreamcatcher done, it's on to the next, which means cutting off a length of the somewhat more durable wire for another hoop. He'll talk as he works, shrugging at the question. ]

Magic, it would seem. I am to be a stage magician for the carnival.

[ And he can't really help but sound really amused by that. He's not sure he'll ever stop finding it funny, actually. ]

Ooh. Can you do real magic?

[ This is not completely weird, he thinks. He's seen holy magic his whole life, after all. And even a few little spells here and there since he's arrived at the carnival. ]

When I care to.

[ As far as magicians go, he's awfully low key. ]

Cool. What kinds of magic? [ He leans in a little, curious. ]

[atouts]

[ Ugh, why does everyone need to ask that? He'll consider which one to highlight as he works on putting together the hoop for his next dreamcatcher. Inevitably, he'll settle on the most obvious one. ]
