What: The carnival workers are invited to spend the week within the realm of the Celebration, the grounds of a party that has been going on for centuries. Accommodations are luxurious, but those with keen instincts might notice something off about this whole arrangement... (Questions can go to the original setting post!)
Warnings: Booze, drugs, sex, and everything in between.

THE CELEBRATION↴

If you observe that the layout of the Celebration grounds seem inconsistent, then you would be correct. In reality, what lies at the end of each corridor depends largely on what the guests of the Celebration want at the time - if a few people find themselves craving a drink, a bar may appear. If a group finds themselves wanting to dance, a club will open up. This goes on at all hours of the night, and given how many dedicated partiers fill the building, the services are well used. It isn't instantaneous, and the Host has to consciously decide to provide that service, but the changes are fast none-the-less.

► ROOMS: Each trailer pair will be assigned a room to themselves - whether or not it has two double beds or a single king sized bed seems essentially random. Hopefully you aren't too sensitive about keeping that space to yourself. The curtains at the far side of the room don't actually lead outside, but instead to a walk-in closet filled with the Host's best guesses at the type of clothing you might like. They may not hit the nail on the head, but at the very least all the clothing will be in your size. The styles could be just about anything, from any universe, but they do tend to average out to clothing that is Earth-ish. Either that, or clothing that looks like they are meant for elves from a high fantasy novel to wear.

► SHOPPING: If none of your pre-picked outfits tickle your fancy, plenty of boutiques and clothing shops can also be found around the grounds - whatever you're thinking of, you'll probably be able to find a shop appropriate for it eventually. Though, maybe it doesn't really count as shopping if you don't have to pay for any of the things you take back to your room with you? Unfortunately, from the sounds of it, you won't be allowed to drag all of your haul back to the carnival with you, so you better enjoy it while you can.

► DINING: There is no daily schedule to follow, after you arrive. You are free to attend the dining room whenever you wish, and will be seated at large round tables with whoever else may be around at the time, and can either order from the menu or most dishes you may think of off the top of your head. If you don't like the fine dining experience, there are also a selection of smaller cafes and eateries that open and close at varying times of day - and, of course, you can always call for room service.

► ENTERTAINMENT: There is plenty of live music around the grounds (not that you can ever seem to remember who the performers were afterwards) whether it comes to harp music while you eat or a full set of DJs in the club you found. If you are inclined to look for them, you may also find some cozy lounges with big screen TVs, and access to a multi-universal quantity of films. What's there or isn't there is unpredictable, but if you come from a standard variety of Earth you probably recognize some of them.

► SUBSTANCES: You don't have to be coy about it - just ask one of your servers, and you'll be able to get whatever kind of vices you might be craving. Drugs, alcohol, ice cream... it's all good. If this sounds like a nightmare for potential addicts, you would be correct. It's not uncommon to see people clearly over-indulging in certain locations, though guests are usually escorted back to their rooms if they take ill - only to see them back at it again the next day.

► SPA DAY: If you'd like to take a swim, pools of various aesthetics are easy to find. So are hot tubs, and saunas, and Host servants who are willing to give you a massage or manicure. If the party crowd isn't your scene, there are plenty of more low-key opportunities to indulge.

► GREENSPACE: There is one park area on the grounds, which appears to be constructed on the rooftops of other parts of the complex. While there are trees and greenery, there is no real sky that you can see - only the illusion of one. It may start to occur to you over time that no window or rooftop actually leads to any kind of outdoors. The Celebration really is there only thing here.

These are really just examples, and you can get creative with what kind of services you find offered while here, when it comes to generally mundane comforts. It really feels like the Host wants to win you over, as if you staying just a little longer has some sort of intrinsic appeal.

"Yes but that was before I knew! How rewarding such an intimate relationship could be!" argues Peridot, gesturing wildly with both hands. "And Amethyst... I really LIKE Amethyst! She's so cool, and, and tough!"

Lapis, ever so helpfully, just shrugs. "So find someone else then, and stay friends with her if you like it so much?" She honestly doesn't understand why this is such a huge issue to Peridot, but she's trying to be a good friend?

Peridot doesn't look convinced, but sighs reluctantly. "I guess that could work. But who--"

She pauses mid-sentence as an idea occurs to her. Slowly, with an EXTREMELY unsettling intensity, Peridot turns her head and looks up at Lapis.

Wow, that's not creepy at all, honestly. "I don't know. Sssomeone?"

"Yeah. Someone...."

Just gonna. Keep staring.

... And Lapis is just gonna stare back because she honestly has no idea what is running through Peridots' head. She's going to keep patting her back though.

"Lapis do you.... want to try. Kissing?" Peridot says slowly, green eyes still fixated unflinchingly on blue.

"Sure." She shrugs and lifts her hands away from Peridots back. She's waiting for Peridot to lead things? She has more experience with kissing than her, so.

Well that was surprisingly easy. What a pal you are, Lapis.

The smaller gem sits up, chewing her lip thoughtfully. Does she dare do this...? It should be fine, right? Even if she and Amethyst aren't really broken up, well, Amethyst boning some stranger didn't really bother her all that much. Surely a little smooching between Peridot and her best Gal Pal wouldn't be out of line.

She plaps both hands on either side of Lapis's face and plants one on her, right on the lips. Mwah.

Thankfully Lapis is completely unaware of what is going in in Peridots mine and all of her worries. Not that it'd really matter, because Lapis wouldn't exactly have doubts about smooching Peridot anyway.

So she gets smooched back. It probably isn't all the best return smooching.

It's not. The worst? Return smooching? Not that Peridot has a wide gambit of experience herself, but. She doesn't exactly have high standards.

Anyway, Peridot pulls back after a moment, eyes bright, expression unreadable. "Huh..."

Actually, Lapis is sort of thinking the same thing. She also doesn't have very high standards.

"Huh. That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be."

"Yeah," Peridot agrees without thinking.

There's a pause.

"Wait. What?"

"What?"

There's suddenly a very slow rumbling sound coming from Lapis. And she has kind of a stupid looking smile on her face.

By all the stars in the cosmos. Lapis is so cute and Peridot is so gd gay. What the hell. She's trying to find it in herself to be offended by the other gem's comment but she's just floored by that dumb little smile.

"N...Nevermind," she spits out, a bit flustered.

Honestly, this is a revelation. It never really crossed Peridot's mind before that she could be set up for smooching with more than one person at a time.

She fidgets. "Do you... want to do it again?"

"Sure." But this time Lapis will lead into the kiss, because it's her turn to.

Peridot can probably feel her rumbling purrs through the kiss, considering it just got a lot more intense at the lip smacking.

Peridot has to fight to keep herself from grinning against that kiss. This is so great? This time she's gonna kind of. Crawl up a little on Lapis, planting both hands on her lap so they're just generally closer together.

In Lapis' honest and expert kissing opinion, this is better than her first kiss by a lot? She has to sort of lean so Peridot has more room, and it's a little awkward like this, but right now Lapis wouldn't have it any other way.

Purrpurrpurr.

Peridot is only going to get more up in Lapis' grill, at this point. She's making some pleased rumbling noises herself, tail swishing, crawling closer and sort of subconsciously pushing Lapis down onto her back.

Lapis only resists being pushed down for about two seconds, and it's because she's decided at that moment that peppering Peridot with more smooches is more important. Then she realizes that she can do that even if she's laying back on the bed. Especially if she grabs Peridot by the back of her fuzzy head and pulls her closer.

Peridot lets out a pleased little trill, sprawling out across and snuggling up to the other gem and just. Going to smooch town on her. It's kind of equal parts adorable and gross?

The only downside to the way they're currently laying is that Peridot can't get her hands on Lapis' gem like this... which is a shame, because she thinks maybe Lapis might enjoy that extra touch there.

Maybe she would have. Now they'll never know. What will however become evident is if Peridot enjoys having the sensation of her gem touched, because Lapis is pressing her forehead against hers in between the kissing and nuzzling against her.

She's also slowly going to loop her arms around Peridot's middle loosely because the contact is pleasant.

Peridot has the good sense to banish her visor away, letting Lapis actually get at her gem. The contact is pleasant, in multiple ways all at once.

She makes. A happy, chirping/beeping sound? Literally like a computer. And plants a kiss on Lapis' jaw.

That is such a weird noise. Thankfully for Peridot Lapis is too busy in smooch city. While Peridot can't see it, Lapis is wiggling her toes in pleasure.

And she's going to start making bread on the small of Peridot's back because she's a shitty cat and kneading people is what they do. Thankfully she mostly lacks claws.
