PILLAR OF CREATION↴![]() Upon arriving, things in Wismuth will seem pretty peaceful. It's a massive city, with no shortage of things going on, but things like violent crime and homelessness are at an all time low. You can wander the streets without much scrutiny, presumed to just be tourists, and most people here come across as helpful and friendly. ► VIBRANCY: The main thing that sets this planet apart is its vibrancy - AKA, the raw creative energy its filled with, flowing from its status as a Pillar of Creation. There is no literal pillar, but Wismuth and its planet is a place where Creation's energy comes through strongest. As a result, everything here feels somehow more real, more intense in a way that's hard to put a finger on. Life is abundant, and its bleeds through in every sensation. ► ATTRACTIONS: There are plenty of things to see while going around the city. First and foremost, there is a lovely beach area bordering the ocean, and a number of tourist aimed attractions built around it. There are giant malls, movie theaters, live stage performances, museums and all kinds of other points of cultural interest. Anything you can do in a big city you can do here, but better. ► ALLOWANCES: The Ringmaster will be giving everyone a reasonable amount of local currency for a few days on the town. You can't make any massive acquisitions with it, but it's more than enough to eat out, see some shows, go to the beach, and whatever you like. You can feel free to pick up some casual supplies, like mundane clothing and souvenirs. There will be more given out later, after the performance week. ► PERFORMANCE: Performance week is starting early this time, after only a couple days of exploration. When the carnival has already been on vacation for a month, the Ringmaster figures they may as well get right to it, and then do more touring afterwards. Members of the local populace will find themselves in the carnival once performances begin, dazzled by the other worldly sights. Magic doesn't seem to exist here, despite the fact that it will flow easier for people bringing it from other worlds. |

But he is not, so all is well for now during the walk back to the carnival. It's routine for him to always do his serious last minute checks on his D-Wheel sometime during the day before performance week starts anyway.]
Heh. Yeah, I knew I had to nab it before anyone else did.
no subject
[It's magic, but that doesn't preclude it being infinite, right?]
no subject
[How helpful. As usual. Because why take the time to understand everything about how the magic works when one can just take the results at face value?]
no subject
So he'll just follow Yugo to his trailer, waiting for his invitation in before he enters and looks around absently.]
no subject
Ah yeah, here it is!
[Yugo is relatively quick to bring over the sturdy-looking wood grained brick of an album. He flips open the cover, then lo and behold- the blank photos in there start developing into full-color pictures,]

He pauses a bit at one literally foggy photo with Yuya and a collapsed Yuto- but as Yugo eventually keeps going...]
... Nah. I don't have any memories in here from Zarc.
no subject
Anyway, the Professor developed the En cards in the original dimension to stop Zarc, and Ray used them against us in the duel. That's how both of us got split up, and the dimensions.
[He holds his fingers up, numbered for emphasis.] There's four En cards, right? Just like there's four dragons, but we got split into five pieces didn't we?
[Yuya, Yugo, Yuto, Yuri, Zarc. Perhaps that's why Zarc still seemed to remember everything, why he still had power from the monster spirits that even Yugo and Yuya couldn't control.]
no subject
[Because no matter how one does the numbers...]
Even if the math still adds up on the four of us all having an equal bit of Zarc, yeah that's five pieces.
[Yugo spares another pause. Also yes he's pretty decent with juggling fractions of all things in his head.]
... Starting to wonder if this magic stuff actually makes more sense at the carnival than it does back in the dimensions. You think that might've been some kind of fluke maybe?
no subject
[Honestly, who's surprised Leo's original plan didn't function as intended even aside from Ray's meddling?] I don't remember a lot more, I probably wouldn't if I didn't hear the truth first.
no subject
[Hence Zarc in a jar, waiting to be reincarnated properly into a baby.]
And something about speeding up the dimensions resplitting so... I guess she had a better picture of what she wanted the magic to do?
no subject
His gaze drifts down the the photo album again. He really is getting most of the memories, isn't he... in a way, it's a little lonely, but also maybe it's for the best that they don't remember too much about how they used to be. It doesn't have a happy ending, after all.]
Well, even if you don't remember... if you ever want to talk about it you can find me. It changed things for all of us, didn't it?
no subject
[He closes the album, but then offers it to Yuya.]
This thing works on anyone, not just me. I'm fine seeing that stuff through pictures if you're alright with sharing, really!
[Yugo is entirely the last person one should be trying to project their worries onto. the lizard-like synchro double seems far more chill than anything else the other might've been expecting. Besides... Yuya shouldn't have to shoulder everything if one can help it.]
no subject
He'll make the most of it, because there's nothing else to do and, selfishly, he's so much happier to be Yuya. But he can't forget what they did now.
Yugo's offer snaps him out of his reverie, however, and he turns his attention up.] Uh, if you want? You'll be all right with them staying in there?
no subject
[Because clearly it's Yugo's job right now to be the big brother.]
no subject
He makes a face at Yugo and reaches for the photo album.] It's called being considerate. I can't assume you or Yuto are going to feel the same way about this stuff as me, so I'm giving you the chance to back out!
[And why would he ever talk to Yuri about it, he turned his dad into a card.
If Yugo doesn't have any last minute protests, however, Yuya will crack open the memory album and focus on what he does recall from their first life. At least still pictures are less unpleasant, but it's still not a pretty picture painting that final battle.]
no subject
So that was the original dimension?
[He glances at a picture of what for sure must be Zarc, riding on that red and hornless version of Odd-Eyes... another of the guy proudly holding up a trophy... and... wait a minute-]
Oi, what happened there?
[Pointing to that wham shot of the bleeding duelist.]
no subject
[He furrows his brow, trying to recall more about that duel. Sadly, the memories are not a floodgate, and trying to remember details doesn't necessarily bring them up. He just remembers relief when the crowd cheered.] People and monsters were getting hurt.
no subject
The monsters too? [Which cues a huff in his ear from the dragon.] ... If they were getting mad about something, then it would've had something to do with those kinds of duels then, huh?
[For a bit longer he studies those first initial photos.]
It's almost kinda funny I guess... how that guy doesn't seem too bad here at first.
no subject
They didn't like fighting like that. It made them angry, so... eventually Zarc shared their anger.
[He narrows his eyes a little at the earlier pictures, like he's trying to scrutinize the details. He knows he wasn't always that hateful and cruel. But he still gave into that. He remembers it, when Zarc took final control of his body and buried them deep in that darkness.]
no subject
[Said while glancing further ahead on the pages.]
You know, Reira also said that she wanted Zarc to have a life again like we do, starting over again as a baby. What do you think of that?
no subject
I think, with me, he was always aware. [He can't speak for the others, if that fifth piece was as active or vocal in them. But Yuya felt it too strongly, himself.] I was happy as Yuya. I am happy. I have my parents, and my friends, and my dueling...
[His grip on the book tightens.] If he saw all of that and still wanted to destroy everything, why would he change this time?
no subject
[Okay maybe not the most solid reassurance but...]
Anyway it'd be like having a new baby brother to take care of, I think.
no subject
[He could remember everything and become a fucking terror. Yuya, frankly, doesn't look reassured at all.
As for the dragons, he looks at Clear Wing and furrows his brow. Before Zarc's awakening, there was no dispute about their ownership. It only transferred when they lost to each other. Would it stay that way? Were the dragons more bonded to their pieces than to Zarc?
He closes the photo album and offers it back to Yugo.] Does that mean you're going to adopt him?
no subject
Huh?! Uh... maybe, I dunno. But he'd be your little brother too! You saying you trust me enough for something like that?
