What: The carnival enjoys a few days in Wismuth, a coastal city on this planet's version of the American east. However, there are a few things very unique about this version of the planet...

PILLAR OF CREATION↴ Upon arriving, things in Wismuth will seem pretty peaceful. It's a massive city, with no shortage of things going on, but things like violent crime and homelessness are at an all time low. You can wander the streets without much scrutiny, presumed to just be tourists, and most people here come across as helpful and friendly. ► VIBRANCY: The main thing that sets this planet apart is its vibrancy - AKA, the raw creative energy its filled with, flowing from its status as a Pillar of Creation. There is no literal pillar, but Wismuth and its planet is a place where Creation's energy comes through strongest. As a result, everything here feels somehow more real, more intense in a way that's hard to put a finger on. Life is abundant, and its bleeds through in every sensation. ► ATTRACTIONS: There are plenty of things to see while going around the city. First and foremost, there is a lovely beach area bordering the ocean, and a number of tourist aimed attractions built around it. There are giant malls, movie theaters, live stage performances, museums and all kinds of other points of cultural interest. Anything you can do in a big city you can do here, but better. ► ALLOWANCES: The Ringmaster will be giving everyone a reasonable amount of local currency for a few days on the town. You can't make any massive acquisitions with it, but it's more than enough to eat out, see some shows, go to the beach, and whatever you like. You can feel free to pick up some casual supplies, like mundane clothing and souvenirs. There will be more given out later, after the performance week. ► PERFORMANCE: Performance week is starting early this time, after only a couple days of exploration. When the carnival has already been on vacation for a month, the Ringmaster figures they may as well get right to it, and then do more touring afterwards. Members of the local populace will find themselves in the carnival once performances begin, dazzled by the other worldly sights. Magic doesn't seem to exist here, despite the fact that it will flow easier for people bringing it from other worlds.

"Keys? For the door?" His question is more plain now and less excited now. He had seen someone with keys when they locked up several cars but he wasn't sure how the car started to move in the first place.

Tyki is good at reading body language and he leans casually against the car with a fold of his hands downwards to block at sign of Gold doing nefarious things. Ah, it's a shame he's not on Acquisitions. If he was, Tyki would know by now. He was kind of a stalker when he wanted to be and a good information gatherer. "You show me how the process usually goes and I can possibly get it started."

Gold's attention was largely now on the lock he was working, listening to it as he teased it open. "Yes, and to start the car." It took about a minute, but he managed to get the lock to open for him and he pulled back, putting the picks up. "There we go, the door should open now."

He might not be in Acquisitions, but if he wants something badly enough, he's not above acting to acquire it himself instead of requesting someone else gain it for him. "Inside you'll find the wheel, with the ignition for the engine of the car, along with pedals. I'll explain more once we're inside."

He almost mouths 'to start a car?' but the more he thinks on it the more it sounds absurd but Gold clearly seems to know what he's doing, "Haha, how practical and a little startling." But he's attentive and with his eyes scanning the passing crowd and Gold thankfully rising again he leans off the car to allow space and will reach down for the handle and pop the car open.

Naturally he's going to climb inside like an excited child and sit in whatever seat Gold doesn't want. This one is rather comfy and there are all sorts of things to touch. Fingers dance over various buttons and while he has no idea what a CD player is it doesn't stop him from running his fingers along the slit and trying to reach inside of it. His head tilts inquisitively at the words AC, air bag, and radio and while it doesn't look like any radio he's use to it brings up a lot of unspoken questions, "Please do."

Gold chooses to lean against the car instead of entering it when Tyki claims the driver's seat. He can point things out from here easily enough. Though if he notices they're attracting attention, he'll explain how to unlock the passenger door so he can join him inside. However, this should merely look like a bit of socializing unless the car's owner decides to show up and berate the two of them for breaking into their car.

"The wheel before you is how you'd steer the car where you'd want it to go, it's connected to the wheels and turns them in the direction you turn the wheel in." He's decided to go with what he can explain that doesn't require a running engine to experiment with for the moment.

"The pedals by your feet deal with the gas and brake. The gas feeds fuel to the engine once it's started and controls the speed by which the car runs. The brake stops the car."

He's no longer on lookout now that he's interested. It did look as if Gold was giving him directions and his back was pressed into the seat as his fingers touched and explored everything.

Yet once Gold starts talking again and pointing out objects he'll tilt his head and pay attention to everything he was offering. He wanted to know more. His hands grasped the wheel and felt over its flexibility and he glanced down at the pedals below him to get a feel for him. Everything Gold points out he's examining and pushing.

"So then how does the key start the engine?" he says way too excitedly.

Perhaps it's a good thing Gold has no actual idea how to hotwire a car. Though given Tyki's current excitement, he suspects lack of knowledge is not something that'd hold the other back much in this particular case. In a way, he can almost admire his eagerness to learn new things.

"That would be the ignition switch that is located in the column that holds the wheel you use to steer with. If you look around to the side of it, you should see something that looks like it's just large enough to accept a key. Using the key there turns the power on for the accessories as well as starts the engine."

His attention is drawn away from Gold again when he starts talking about the key. He'll even crane over to the right a little as his fingers slide down the wheel to search for whatever he's talking about. He finds the slot where a key can be entered and as it feels much like a door he begins to explore deeper.

Fingertips push into it past the metal and he'll feel the usual drum and give for the key. Fingertips push up, unlocking each one with a slow press and feel. It takes a little time given a car is more complex but when all are at the same height he'll hook his thumb along the top and wait for something to happen. When it doesn't he simply tries to turn it like one would a key. It stalls and does nothing until his thumb slides up to the metal piece above it and when it swings forward along with the drums he's momentarily startled by the sound of the car starting and the obnoxious music from the radio as well.

Oh look, he's laughing.

Gold shifts his position slightly to see just what Tyki might be doing to the column behind the wheel, one eyebrow rising when he not only sees what's going on but can in a sense tell that it's connected to whatever ability that Tyki likes to exercise in his performances.

He watches in silence as the other no doubt explores the switch in a way that would be impossible for him, making a mental note to ask him just how his 'magic' works at a later date. It's like nothing he's come across as of yet.

He pulls back from the car when it abruptly starts and the horrid music begins to blare out of the radio. Tyki's laughter is to be expected given the situation and gains an amused smile from him, though when the car falls silent a couple moments after due to the lack of any gas being given to keep it running, he chuckles softly.

"If you want to keep it running after it's been started, you'll need to give it gas, which is the pedal to the right. The left one is the one for the brake which stops the car from going forward."

"What the hell is that noise?" he says with some annoyance though he's not exactly clear if he's talking about the stalling engine or the obnoxious music coming from the radio. It's not even catchy and he can barely understand what the artist is saying.

Other than that he's like a kid in a toy store with a new toy he's about to break if not given proper rules. His fingers stay within the drum even as he pulls it back and restarts all over again. He's listening and his eyes will shift downward as his feet pushes forward and he gives the gas a little push. It revs hard with a powerful engine and thankfully it goes nowhere on the account that it is still shifted into park.

"Sounds more like a beast," he says in a way too excited voice as his foot lightly taps and keeps playing with it just to hear that noise over and over.
