What: The carnival enjoys a few days in Wismuth, a coastal city on this planet's version of the American east. However, there are a few things very unique about this version of the planet...

PILLAR OF CREATION↴ Upon arriving, things in Wismuth will seem pretty peaceful. It's a massive city, with no shortage of things going on, but things like violent crime and homelessness are at an all time low. You can wander the streets without much scrutiny, presumed to just be tourists, and most people here come across as helpful and friendly. ► VIBRANCY: The main thing that sets this planet apart is its vibrancy - AKA, the raw creative energy its filled with, flowing from its status as a Pillar of Creation. There is no literal pillar, but Wismuth and its planet is a place where Creation's energy comes through strongest. As a result, everything here feels somehow more real, more intense in a way that's hard to put a finger on. Life is abundant, and its bleeds through in every sensation. ► ATTRACTIONS: There are plenty of things to see while going around the city. First and foremost, there is a lovely beach area bordering the ocean, and a number of tourist aimed attractions built around it. There are giant malls, movie theaters, live stage performances, museums and all kinds of other points of cultural interest. Anything you can do in a big city you can do here, but better. ► ALLOWANCES: The Ringmaster will be giving everyone a reasonable amount of local currency for a few days on the town. You can't make any massive acquisitions with it, but it's more than enough to eat out, see some shows, go to the beach, and whatever you like. You can feel free to pick up some casual supplies, like mundane clothing and souvenirs. There will be more given out later, after the performance week. ► PERFORMANCE: Performance week is starting early this time, after only a couple days of exploration. When the carnival has already been on vacation for a month, the Ringmaster figures they may as well get right to it, and then do more touring afterwards. Members of the local populace will find themselves in the carnival once performances begin, dazzled by the other worldly sights. Magic doesn't seem to exist here, despite the fact that it will flow easier for people bringing it from other worlds.

[The beach is nice at night, though not as exciting as during the day. Still, Tamaki had decided to take a walk on it, shoes in hand so his toes can sink into the sand. He sloshes straight through the ways, not concerned when the salt water gets on the bottom of his shorts.

He's watching a sand crab skitter away when he spots the kid, not far away from him now. He's pretty sure he's seen them around the Carnival since the moon, but has never really spoken to them.

He walks up casually. Whatever just happened with time stopping, he seems to have missed it, not attuned to those types of things. Ghosts are more his purview.]

What'cha drawing?

[Frisk notices that he doesn't seem to notice and notes it down as 'working' so far. However, something still feels weird.

But they're going to worry about that later. It'd be rude to ignore him.]

Just a couple of doodles. I'm not good at it.

[Frisk draws something that looks like it's supposed to be a skeleton in a hoodie but looks like a stickman with a bit more stick.]

Yeah, you're not.

[Frisk might be a kid, but he isn't going to spare their feelings here. He can't tell what the drawing is supposed to be, even if he squints.]

It's okay, though. You can keep practicing, and get better.

[Being bad just means there's room for improvement, right?]

[Surprisingly, Frisk barks out a laugh. Brutal honesty was nice sometimes, and it reminded them of the voice that spoke their thoughts.]

Yup. If at first you don't succeed, try try again.

[Even if it's said with the air of someone who has done that many, many times.]

Do you want to try?

[Frisk offers the stick to the stranger.]

Sure.

[He takes the stick, draws a pudding mascot man. It's passable artwork, though the design he's copying is pretty simplistic, so it's not really a good example of if he's actually good at drawing or not.]

There. King Pudding.

Aw, that's cute.

[Even if they have like, zero idea what a 'King Pudding' is. They didn't watch a lot of TV.

Rather then asking for the stick back, Frisk ducks down and draws something in the sand with a finger. Their attempt to copy the drawing isn't as perfect, but it's better then nothing.]

Now they've got a friend.

Oh! Pretty good for your first try.

[He seems pretty satisfied with this, nodding at the sand drawing like it's fine art hanging in a museum.]

[Might as well introduce himself to his new drawing friend.]

[Hey, they'll take it. And Frisk's standards are pretty low.]

I'm Frisk. Nice to meet you Tamaki.

Nice to meet you. Did you join the Carnival?

[He's pretty sure, since he thinks he's seen her before, but who knows? Might as well ask.]

Yeah, a little while ago. It's been fun so far.

[Although Frisk has heard that it isn't all sunshine and rainbows all the time.]

Yeah. The moon was fun.

[They got lucky and missed the time people were dying or killing others or killing each other or...]

[Yeah no, they missed that bit.]

Yeah. I think I've only seen that much snow in one place.

[It was really pretty.]

Guess it doesn't snow a lot, where you're from.

[He's pretty used to some snow, living in Tokyo, although it's nothing like they get further north. He's not as used to huge snowdrifts like that.]

Where else did you see it?

[nevergained]

Just in one place.

[There's also the Surface but Frisk doesn't really want to talk about that.]

It's a place called Snowdin. It's pretty, I think.

Snowed in...?

[He knows enough English to hear that pun. He wonders if that's on purpose...]

So it's always snowy there, huh? Since they put "snow" in the name... [Why else would you?]
