PILLAR OF CREATION↴![]() Upon arriving, things in Wismuth will seem pretty peaceful. It's a massive city, with no shortage of things going on, but things like violent crime and homelessness are at an all time low. You can wander the streets without much scrutiny, presumed to just be tourists, and most people here come across as helpful and friendly. ► VIBRANCY: The main thing that sets this planet apart is its vibrancy - AKA, the raw creative energy its filled with, flowing from its status as a Pillar of Creation. There is no literal pillar, but Wismuth and its planet is a place where Creation's energy comes through strongest. As a result, everything here feels somehow more real, more intense in a way that's hard to put a finger on. Life is abundant, and its bleeds through in every sensation. ► ATTRACTIONS: There are plenty of things to see while going around the city. First and foremost, there is a lovely beach area bordering the ocean, and a number of tourist aimed attractions built around it. There are giant malls, movie theaters, live stage performances, museums and all kinds of other points of cultural interest. Anything you can do in a big city you can do here, but better. ► ALLOWANCES: The Ringmaster will be giving everyone a reasonable amount of local currency for a few days on the town. You can't make any massive acquisitions with it, but it's more than enough to eat out, see some shows, go to the beach, and whatever you like. You can feel free to pick up some casual supplies, like mundane clothing and souvenirs. There will be more given out later, after the performance week. ► PERFORMANCE: Performance week is starting early this time, after only a couple days of exploration. When the carnival has already been on vacation for a month, the Ringmaster figures they may as well get right to it, and then do more touring afterwards. Members of the local populace will find themselves in the carnival once performances begin, dazzled by the other worldly sights. Magic doesn't seem to exist here, despite the fact that it will flow easier for people bringing it from other worlds. |

[The woman sighs-but does pass it over, gently; it's easy to tell what the original structure would've been; an ugly, barbed and webbed set of wings with a string between, but Carly's painted what she could, and set feathers along various parts. Anything to better make it match-or at least to hide its past, in this case.] ...I managed to win, with the help of two others...but neither of them wanted the bow. I'll admit...
...when I found out the mythical creatures were... his servants once... [She looks rather pale-an impressive feat, given her marble white skin-but she shakes it off.] The Prince, by now, is long gone-I can at least say he's not going to be doing anything like that ever again..!

Good to hear he's been...ah, de-throned. [He examines the bow in his hand quietly after that comment. It's not hard for him to pick out the original parts from the newer additions, and it's obvious to him at least the magic within the bow is the darker sort. Old and nasty definitely. Not something to toy around with. He nocked the arrow he still held in the bow and turned to aim at her makeshift target, drawing back and then releasing the arrow to strike the fabric target. He walked up to the target afterward to examine the area around the arrow where it was lodged into the fabric, rubbing a finger over the stony part of it closest to the shaft.
Straightening up, he headed back toward her and held the bow out for her to reclaim.]
I might be able to figure out how to eventually reverse the spell the arrows inflict. It'll take time though, that is a rather dark curse on that bow.

HY-EH-! [AND...there goes the arrow. Blinking, she wordlessly takes the bow back, looking toward the target.] Hauhhhhh...that was a lot better than my shot...ah-
[Hold up-] Really?! I mean, I'd definitely rather have the enchantment on hand for if we have to fight the Courts...but being able to remove this curse would make it a lot less risky to have around..! It poisons anything you shoot from it, after all..!

I'll need to study it when we're not working and see about acquiring certain regents, but with time and study, it might be possible. [Of course, he might need a test subject of some sort when he was close to figuring it out...preferably something not part of the carnival obviously. But he'd cross that particular bridge when he reached it.]
Would you like to learn how to shoot more reliably? [Best if the owner of such a cursed bow knows well how to use it, after all. It would make the bow more of an asset and less of a liability in a fight.]

[Ahhhh well, she shakes her head.] We might want to talk to Medical when we do though-they had to cure the people poisoned by the Prince himself, and that went pretty great~ But since it's the same venom, we could probably borrow from what went into the remedy! [Somehow. The key is making it...a temporary 'off' switch after all. Anyway.
Carly brightens up-both figuratively, and literally, with the offer-and hurriedly pulls the brilliant golds and whites back to something controlled as she smiles widely.] Ahhh-! Is that an offer? I'd love to! Having something other than fire magic would be really important..!! I think I've been getting predictable with that, so...
[She makes Lots of Fires but she's also sort of Known for Fire now...]

It is. We can work on it in our spare time if you wish.
[Though the comment concerning fire magic is something for him to keep in mind as well for the future. It might be interesting to see if he can teach his style of magic here or learn her kind of magic himself.]

Nope.] That sounds perfect! I have everyone's schedules on the board in our tent....you'll see mine there, and that's basically where all my free time is..! Just radio me when our times line up, really.
