PILLAR OF CREATION↴ Upon arriving, things in Wismuth will seem pretty peaceful. It's a massive city, with no shortage of things going on, but things like violent crime and homelessness are at an all time low. You can wander the streets without much scrutiny, presumed to just be tourists, and most people here come across as helpful and friendly. ► VIBRANCY: The main thing that sets this planet apart is its vibrancy - AKA, the raw creative energy its filled with, flowing from its status as a Pillar of Creation. There is no literal pillar, but Wismuth and its planet is a place where Creation's energy comes through strongest. As a result, everything here feels somehow more real, more intense in a way that's hard to put a finger on. Life is abundant, and its bleeds through in every sensation. ► ATTRACTIONS: There are plenty of things to see while going around the city. First and foremost, there is a lovely beach area bordering the ocean, and a number of tourist aimed attractions built around it. There are giant malls, movie theaters, live stage performances, museums and all kinds of other points of cultural interest. Anything you can do in a big city you can do here, but better. ► ALLOWANCES: The Ringmaster will be giving everyone a reasonable amount of local currency for a few days on the town. You can't make any massive acquisitions with it, but it's more than enough to eat out, see some shows, go to the beach, and whatever you like. You can feel free to pick up some casual supplies, like mundane clothing and souvenirs. There will be more given out later, after the performance week. ► PERFORMANCE: Performance week is starting early this time, after only a couple days of exploration. When the carnival has already been on vacation for a month, the Ringmaster figures they may as well get right to it, and then do more touring afterwards. Members of the local populace will find themselves in the carnival once performances begin, dazzled by the other worldly sights. Magic doesn't seem to exist here, despite the fact that it will flow easier for people bringing it from other worlds. |

"Wow, that's gotta suck." But also it's not stopping Lapis from reaching forward to pick him up. And she absolutely will, if she doesn't get stopped! "I've never seen a real chicken before, though." Only, uh, watermelon ones.

9S indignantly flaps his wings at her as he's picked up, squawking angrily. Luckily, Pod 153 is here to the rescue, flying over to try and pluck 9S out of Lapis' arms.

"You have wings, so you can fly at least, right? Why are you hanging around on the ground?" It doesn't make sense to Lapis! Wings = Flight, that's just how it goes. "Seems like it'd be dangerous down here for you."

9S might have escaped being held, but Lapis has no problems giving his feathers a poke.

But luckily, Pod 153 isn't programmed with silly things like emotions, so it doesn't care.
9S, however, is full of emotions, and that emotion right now is annoyance. Hands off! 9S pecks at Lapis' poking fingers.

Lapis is still a real piece of work though, and since she's a low key trouble maker, with a blue glow, there's suddenly a blue chicken where Lapis once was.
She ruffles her feathers at him.

And when Lapis turns herself into a blue chicken, 9S can only squawk in disbelief. Is she mocking him? She's totally mocking him! With a screech full of ire, 9S launches himself bodily at Lapis.

So when 9S launches himself at her, Lapis does what no reasonable chicken should be able to do anyway! She flies. Because she's a dirty cheater.
"Is that your best shot?"

He looks over at Pod 153 for assistance, but he can't actually instruct Pod 153 when he's like this! And like an actually sensible person(?), Pod 153 doesn't respond to his desire to shoot at Lapis.
He tries flapping his wings, but unlike Lapis, 9cluckS' wings are not made for flying. He manages to lift off the ground a little, but he would've gotten more height from jumping.

"Wow, you've got wings but can't fly." That really is a bummer! What's the point! Or maybe he just doesn't know how. She did teach a baby bird to fly, so there's no reason 9S shouldn't be able to actually learn, right?
"C'mon, flap harder."

Once again, all that comes out of his beak is infuriated squawking, stray feathers falling from him from all the flapping.
