What: The carnival enjoys a few days in Wismuth, a coastal city on this planet's version of the American east. However, there are a few things very unique about this version of the planet...

Upon arriving, things in Wismuth will seem pretty peaceful. It's a massive city, with no shortage of things going on, but things like violent crime and homelessness are at an all time low. You can wander the streets without much scrutiny, presumed to just be tourists, and most people here come across as helpful and friendly.

► VIBRANCY: The main thing that sets this planet apart is its vibrancy - AKA, the raw creative energy its filled with, flowing from its status as a Pillar of Creation. There is no literal pillar, but Wismuth and its planet is a place where Creation's energy comes through strongest. As a result, everything here feels somehow more real, more intense in a way that's hard to put a finger on. Life is abundant, and its bleeds through in every sensation.

► ATTRACTIONS: There are plenty of things to see while going around the city. First and foremost, there is a lovely beach area bordering the ocean, and a number of tourist aimed attractions built around it. There are giant malls, movie theaters, live stage performances, museums and all kinds of other points of cultural interest. Anything you can do in a big city you can do here, but better.

► ALLOWANCES: The Ringmaster will be giving everyone a reasonable amount of local currency for a few days on the town. You can't make any massive acquisitions with it, but it's more than enough to eat out, see some shows, go to the beach, and whatever you like. You can feel free to pick up some casual supplies, like mundane clothing and souvenirs. There will be more given out later, after the performance week.

► PERFORMANCE: Performance week is starting early this time, after only a couple days of exploration. When the carnival has already been on vacation for a month, the Ringmaster figures they may as well get right to it, and then do more touring afterwards. Members of the local populace will find themselves in the carnival once performances begin, dazzled by the other worldly sights. Magic doesn't seem to exist here, despite the fact that it will flow easier for people bringing it from other worlds.

Reira, innocent as she is, says the first thing that comes to mind. Largely because she's pretty sure people don't go around stealing straw. That'd be weird. Regardless.

"....Are you a new animal keeper?" You're in the shed, and doing things with straw, so you're probably working here right. Right! Yes.

He's not stolen anything as of yet, though admittedly he'd been considering how much he might use until he could acquire his own supply of material. The question earned a quiet chuckle from Gold.

"No. The new tailor actually." He replied with an amused smile.

Wait what-

"..........................but you're in the supply shed..." Something isn't quite right here, and Reira flicks the light on, coming in....which, go figure, is when she notices that the straw Gold is holding is. Odd..???

"...............Hey, that's not straw..." PRIORITIES. But at least both can see the other now. Reira seems to be a waif a child, wearing the clothes she arrived in-thread bare long-sleeve shirt and shorts, with sneakers. Gold 'dust' seems to waft off her when she moves more than an inch or so, but it disappears quickly-by the time she stops moving, certainly.

At that point it's just a kid covered in patches moonrock with olivine roses up top. "...What's that?" It looks...Like metal??? Gold??? They had lots of gold at the manor, it was sort of A Thing.

He looked down at the former piece of straw in his hand at the question and quietly notes that yes, he's managed to change the straw into gold much as he did using his spinning wheel. Though perhaps the key in that was due to the same motion being used by his fingers while his thoughts went elsewhere.

Lifting his gaze and attention from the gold in hand to the child before him, he extended the small piece of gold toward her to see how she reacted to a better view of it. "Yes, gold."

So it is gold? She studies it...not unlike a bird would, if anything. Tilting her head to look it over, blinking owlishly. "Mnh... ...But where did it come from?" she asks curiously, apparently caring more about that than anything else. "...We only have animal things in here..."

He found it interesting that she made no move to try claiming it as some might have. At the statement after the question, he gave a small chuckle. "Yes, that much is true. As for this, I made it. From a piece of the straw, I found on the floor."

He continued to hold it out to her as he finished speaking. "Would you like to have it?" The question was asked largely just to observe her reaction to it and the idea of her owning the gold. While small, it was valuable enough in its own right he suspected.

Gold does not particularly matter to Reira. Money, even less so, so the monetary value of much anything generally falls short for her. Gold is...shiny. And pretty. So she takes Gold's question with a spot of confusion. "...For me?" She repeats, honestly surprised. "...Even though I just met you?" How odd! But then, that was how she got her little zombie sparrow...

"...Mnh...it does look nice, I guess...ummm..." She tries to think though, what would she...use...

Oh! "Um! ...if I take it, is it ok to use in books? It gets hard to remember what page I was on sometimes..!" Mostly because she'll be interrupted before she commits that to memory but anyhow-

What a strange idea for gold!

He noted the surprised confusion with a bit of silent and hidden amusement. It wasn't often he ran into people who had either no desire for gold nor awareness of its other values. It was refreshing in a way. "Yes. I have no need for this particular piece myself currently."

Her question managed to earn a small noise of that hidden amusement out of him. "That sounds like a fine use for it."

"Mnh..! Um...Thank you then," she says, giving a rather small bow. Gently, it'll be taken, and stowed in a pocket...at least before, well. She realizes a bit of important matters about all of this. The first one being...

"But what were you doing in here, um..." ....And the second being- "...Who are you?" New Tailor is NOT A NAME, sir. But you do at least seem relatively nice.

"I was considering if there was enough straw in here that the animals wouldn't miss it if I borrowed some." He replied to the first part of her question and as for the second.

"I go by Mr. Gold. Might I have your name?" They've both be a little lax with introductions it would seem.

"Ohhh..." ... "Why do you need straw though..." Ah-she blinks, adding something else- "Um! You should ask Ginko though, he'd know if we definitely have extra..."

...Excuse her however, as she looks from the Gold in her pocket, to....'Gold'? ...That's a good and accurate name, apparently. "Umn- Reira Akaba," she introduces, nodding. "...so...your name is Gold, and...you make 'gold' things?"

Gold made note of the suggestion and the name for later. He would likely see about doing that once he had the wheel in his possession. He also made note of the name the child introduced herself with. It made him think of Mulan and the people who lived where she was from.

"That is one way to put it, yes. I can make more than just gold, but that does seem to be what I'm known for in most tales."

"...Tales?" She tilts her head, blinking rather widely. "...Does that mean...people wrote stories about you a lot?" she asks. It seems the most like what it would be after all....someone writing about him and whatever it was he was doing recently.
