What: The carnival enjoys a few days in Wismuth, a coastal city on this planet's version of the American east. However, there are a few things very unique about this version of the planet...
Warnings: The usual, wholesome fun.

PILLAR OF CREATION↴ Upon arriving, things in Wismuth will seem pretty peaceful. It's a massive city, with no shortage of things going on, but things like violent crime and homelessness are at an all time low. You can wander the streets without much scrutiny, presumed to just be tourists, and most people here come across as helpful and friendly. ► VIBRANCY: The main thing that sets this planet apart is its vibrancy - AKA, the raw creative energy its filled with, flowing from its status as a Pillar of Creation. There is no literal pillar, but Wismuth and its planet is a place where Creation's energy comes through strongest. As a result, everything here feels somehow more real, more intense in a way that's hard to put a finger on. Life is abundant, and its bleeds through in every sensation. ► ATTRACTIONS: There are plenty of things to see while going around the city. First and foremost, there is a lovely beach area bordering the ocean, and a number of tourist aimed attractions built around it. There are giant malls, movie theaters, live stage performances, museums and all kinds of other points of cultural interest. Anything you can do in a big city you can do here, but better. ► ALLOWANCES: The Ringmaster will be giving everyone a reasonable amount of local currency for a few days on the town. You can't make any massive acquisitions with it, but it's more than enough to eat out, see some shows, go to the beach, and whatever you like. You can feel free to pick up some casual supplies, like mundane clothing and souvenirs. There will be more given out later, after the performance week. ► PERFORMANCE: Performance week is starting early this time, after only a couple days of exploration. When the carnival has already been on vacation for a month, the Ringmaster figures they may as well get right to it, and then do more touring afterwards. Members of the local populace will find themselves in the carnival once performances begin, dazzled by the other worldly sights. Magic doesn't seem to exist here, despite the fact that it will flow easier for people bringing it from other worlds.

"So you've met Solas," Lavellan says, grinning. It was probably the most flattering thing anyone has ever said about the other elf, but she nods. "We're elves, yes." Anything more than that and it got complicated.

But the girl introduced herself, and so she nods. "Lavellan. And I suppose it doesn't matter, in the end. It's just traditional to keep them bare." No Dalish elf had given it much thought beside that, she's sure.

"Oh-! You know him too then..! ...That makes sense I guess," she hums, nodding to herself. Regardless. "Even if you say that though...you were still following the tradition, so it must be at least a little important right..? If the tops can be hidden in any way, even with something fake though, it should fool people, even without a Carnival glamor on it.... ...I'd be surprised about it not catching right now, but I guess in a beach town, there's a lot of swimmers going around without shoes...."

"We were coworkers," she supplies, readily enough. Just in case she thinks all elves know each other. Her question is far more of a personal one than Lavellan thinks the other knows -- does following tradition make it important? What about if it was all a lie? For a moment Lavellan feels as if the tattoos on her face are burning, even though she knows nothing has changed.

"That seems as if it would be alright. Did you have anything specific in mind?"

"Oh, I see..." She can't tell if that's good, or bad, but regardless... "Then you definitely know him~! That's good to have in mind, I guess..." Well, she certainly didn't have the odd idea that they all knew each other, it seems, but as is.

"I was thinking something similar to a shin-cover; in this case, it would move more downward though-covering the foot's top to a point. It wouldn't have to wrap under the foot-the shape of it would be covering enough-but because of that, it'd look like you were wearing shoes..! ...Even if you weren't!"

There is a slight cough. "Also, I think it'd be 'strange' enough that the glamor would cover it, even if it started flapping around, or something..." She hasn't really had the chance to test it, but since it'd just be to trick someone watching a door, it's probably fine.

Coworkers is a generous term for what they were, but it's simplest and easiest, so Lavellan is sticking with it. "Yes, I do definitely know him." And there's no bitterness in her tone, which is something.

The idea seems like a solid one, and Lavellan nods. "You've given this a lot of thought, haven't you." Not that she's complaining, of course, since it seemed to work in her favor.

Very good-it definitely makes things more easy for Carly to talk, and she nods rather proudly. "Mm! I didn't know if it would cause any trouble like this, obviously...but who knew if there would be some place where bare feet would cause trouble! More trouble than this, I mean...there's lots of weird worlds out there, so I wanted to be ready-!!"

She chews her lip. "...Though, I hope he's receptive to the idea himself...I haven't really asked yet... ...At least we can try for you though~"

"What sort of 'weird worlds'?" She hasn't been able to satisfy her curiosity even remotely when it came to this entire deal, and she's finding her inability to simply have people deliver reports to her on the matter chafing. Who knew that they responsibility she didn't want would be what she wanted after all?

She tries to reassure the other, though. "I'd be happy to try it out. And if you need backup, I'd be pleased to help you pitch the idea to him." Don't be an ass, Solas, and put the damn things on.

"Ooooh....that's... ...a long list...we've been inside a computer, there was that world with only birds, and then the world of Angels, the Bee world..." Hooooboy.

"Ah~ I'd love that! I'll definitely let you know if there's any problems! Mm, you first though...I'll have to get your footsize..."

"My foot size?" Guess what she doesn't know? That. Lavellan looks at the other with a confused face, and then down at her feet. "Normal for an elf?"

Very helpful, she's certain. Although the rest of the worlds the other woman is describing take her by surprise. "Bee world? All of those sound rather fantastic." Says the elf from a medieval fantasy world who uses magic.

"Ah- w-well, I wouldn't expect you to know it off the top of your head...you wouldn't have needed it, y'know..." She coughs. "We just need a paper and a pencil to figure it out, really-You'd stand on it, and I'd trace, and there we'd have it~!"

"Ahhh~ It really is pretty fantastic..! This one's a more mundane place, next to it all....though, I think we really needed the break..."

"I'm sure I saw a shop you could get both those things around here somewhere--" She gestures for the other woman to follow her, expecting that there wouldn't be any resistance to the idea. As the worlds, well--

"I understand that the carnival has gone through some rough patches recently." Although she doesn't know the details of it, considering that came from Cole.

"Ahhh, I could probably just use my own things....it's what everyone kept giving me on the moon at least.." Infinite pen, pencil, etc etc...

"Hihhhh, rough is right though..! It's really not normally that much of a problem at all... ...it feels a bit like a rough patch we couldn't completely break out of, if that makes sense..."

Oh. Lavellan stops, and then nods. "So you're an artist." A pause, and then a smile flickers over her face. "You should ask Solas about his own art before you approach him about covering the tops of his feet." It might make him more receptive to the idea, at least -- he always did like it when she complemented his art.

"So its effects still linger?" She asks, curious. "What sort of effects?" Unless she means trauma, in which case Lavellan is happy to leave people to their secrets.

"Something like that, I guess...like I said~ I'm the Wardrobe Manager! That puts me in charge of what everyone wears, costume or otherwise!" Anyway.

"Mnnn....not too literally. Just the memories, that sort of thing... ...Er. Well, and the Summer Fae probably following us...I guess..." But that one would've been a warning passed to anyone under the Nightrunners and Warden both. It's Totally Fine.

"Ahhh, I'll make sure to ask Solas, though~!"

Lavellan blinks at that, and then down at her clothes and then back up to her. "Even when we're outside of the carnival?" For she's not about to wear what some shemlen thinks she should; Dalish fashion is the only thing she has left to her, and if she cannot dress with an eye to that, what else is left for her?

Having just been filled in on the events of the fae, Lavellan nods her understanding. "I've been warned about that, yes. It seems as if we have only complicated matters by wandering through different worlds." Not that she's unused to that sort of thing.

"Eh?" There's a pause, before she realizes...a bit of wires were just crossed. "AHH!! N-Not in that way..! What I mean is that I'm supposed to make sure everyone has what they need to wear! So what you want to wear is normally going to be fine! I just need to know ahead of time so I can....get it, really..."

"Oh!" She says, shaking her head slightly. "I apologize." And that would make it easier, but in order to further put the other at ease, Lavellan explains further: "I've recently been given a gift of clothing from the Ringmaster. I believe you don't have to worry at all in my case."

"It's alright~" Easy mistake, in her opinion. She blinks though. "Hehhh, really..? ...Well, I guess if you're okay for now then..."

That for now might be a bit ominous, but regardless. "Well, if any major changes happen, I'll at least be able to refit them then~ It's important to be comfortable in what you wear!"

Ah, yes, the changes. Lavellan hasn't given much thought as to how she'd change: most people she's run into have been human, and she wonders if the Ringmaster's magic will mix with who she is in different ways. After all, elves are more magic than the shemlen of her world.

"Hopefully no serious change will occur soon," she admits, catching her reflection in a window. Nothing has changed yet, but she can't imagine what will go first, and almost doesn't want to know.

"Hmmm, 'hopefully', but!" She raises a finger. "Even minor things can change a lot..! Growing as little as an inch can make certain things uncomfortable-so it's always good to know that someone will be there to alter things if it's needed! ...A lot of people don't...tend to know that, I'm realizing..."

It was harder to pick up on this when she was the Only Tailor...
