PILLAR OF CREATION↴![]() Upon arriving, things in Wismuth will seem pretty peaceful. It's a massive city, with no shortage of things going on, but things like violent crime and homelessness are at an all time low. You can wander the streets without much scrutiny, presumed to just be tourists, and most people here come across as helpful and friendly. ► VIBRANCY: The main thing that sets this planet apart is its vibrancy - AKA, the raw creative energy its filled with, flowing from its status as a Pillar of Creation. There is no literal pillar, but Wismuth and its planet is a place where Creation's energy comes through strongest. As a result, everything here feels somehow more real, more intense in a way that's hard to put a finger on. Life is abundant, and its bleeds through in every sensation. ► ATTRACTIONS: There are plenty of things to see while going around the city. First and foremost, there is a lovely beach area bordering the ocean, and a number of tourist aimed attractions built around it. There are giant malls, movie theaters, live stage performances, museums and all kinds of other points of cultural interest. Anything you can do in a big city you can do here, but better. ► ALLOWANCES: The Ringmaster will be giving everyone a reasonable amount of local currency for a few days on the town. You can't make any massive acquisitions with it, but it's more than enough to eat out, see some shows, go to the beach, and whatever you like. You can feel free to pick up some casual supplies, like mundane clothing and souvenirs. There will be more given out later, after the performance week. ► PERFORMANCE: Performance week is starting early this time, after only a couple days of exploration. When the carnival has already been on vacation for a month, the Ringmaster figures they may as well get right to it, and then do more touring afterwards. Members of the local populace will find themselves in the carnival once performances begin, dazzled by the other worldly sights. Magic doesn't seem to exist here, despite the fact that it will flow easier for people bringing it from other worlds. |

[Tanyuu kneels down next to Frisk, her hands resting on her knees to get a better look. The smell of the sea is intense, and the gentle breeze that it brings as well feels sharper than it ought--but at the same time absolutely right. She wishes she dared to go swimming properly, but Tanyuu isn't sure she could go diving--at least, not without equipment. She really ought to learn more of how glamours affect abilities like that.]
no subject
But now they draw something that looks like it's supposed to be a skeleton in a hoodie. Keep words are supposed to be here. Frisk is the first to admit they're not an artist.]
Just random stuff. I haven't gone to the beach before.
no subject
I hadn't either, before joining the carnival. It's nice to watch the waves come in, and listen to the sound. [Tanyuu reaches over to add another figure near the Sans-alike, a very simplified version of Frisk in their clown costume.] Have you met Sans and Papyrus?
no subject
It mixes into...something. They're not sure what that something is, however.]
Yup, they're from my world. [They giggle when they see what Tanyuu's drawn.] We're aquain...um, we know each other. I think we're friends.
[Or something like that. It's obvious with Papyrus, or at least in this timeline it was. Sans, on the other hand....
Hahha.]
no subject
[Don't think she missed that little waver, kiddo.]
no subject
[Frisk pauses as they gather their thoughts, doodling absentmindedly with their stick.]
....if you did something bad, really bad to someone, how do you say you're sorry?
no subject
It's not something you say, really. You can tell someone you're sorry and promise you'll do better as much as you like, but you need to prove it in your actions. And they need to be willing to accept it.
[She looks down at Frisk with a solemn expression, though her worry still shows in the crease of her brows.] It may take a long time, if what you did really hurt them so deeply. Trying to force things faster only makes things hurt more.
no subject
And while Frisk's vocabulary may be limited, they know that the definition of "right" could be so many things for different people.]
I don't want to be that bad person anymore. And...it's a lot to make up.
[To a lot of people, not just Sans and Papyrus. And while they say it, Frisk knows it's a slippery slope. LV is....
....it's hard to describe. But it's there.]
no subject
Then be the kind of person you want to be now. Acknowledge when you make mistakes, because that happens to everyone, but from what I know monsters aren't the sort to ignore a kindness given freely.
...you don't have to tell me everything, but if you want to talk about it, I'm always willing to listen. And I'm very good at keeping secrets--I won't tell them anything you don't want me to.
[On some level, this might be unfair. She already has a history with Sans, but Frisk is so young, and she can tell that something very heavy weighs on their shoulders. Whether it's a child's perspective blowing things out of proportion or not, they need some kind of support.]
no subject
Not an excuse, but a reason. They can't forget that. So they take a deep breath.]
...if you could do things over again and there's nothing to stop you, would you?
[Frisk is speaking slowly. Only the voice in their head knows all those big words and not them, so hopefully they're getting their point across.]
And people won't remember. You can...start over. When you want.
no subject
[This is not what she expected. A priceless item broken, or a blunder that injured someone badly, but...this isn't a question a child should be asking.]
I think...I would be very tempted, to use it in selfish ways. To use it to do things that I couldn't bear the consequences of.
[She watches Frisk carefully, but does not pull away. This, she thinks, is not something they have told many people before.]
Are you able to do that?
no subject
[And Tanyuu's response is what Frisk expected. The temptation to do something selfish and in ways that could hurt someone.
But they have to bear the consequences. They can't forget.]
I don't know a lot about it, but I can turn back time. I can do things over again and I did back home.
[Twenty-four times back home.]
And I wasn't good sometimes. I hurt a lot of people.
no subject
[That much is clear, in the way their shoulders stiffen and their eyes cloud over. She hesitates for a moment, but then reaches around Frisk's shoulders to pull them close, should they allow it.]
A power like that would be a heavy burden for anyone.
no subject
[That's something Frisk firmly stands by. Everything that happened was because they chose to do it.
One life. Two. Three. Fragments. More and more and more until it splinters into nothing. And then they become something
And they don't want to be that anymore.]
no subject
[Tanyuu squeezes Frisk gently, offering them a small, hopeful smile.]
Does that make sense?
no subject
[Not now, not ever. Holding it within themselves until...
They're not sure what 'until' is. But it will be when it is.]
That's why I asked the Ringmaster for help.
no subject
[Tanyuu smoothes her hand over Frisk's hair, silent for a moment. They have been amazingly frank with her...but then, they could wish this whole conversation away, and keep the wisdom without any of the risk. She doesn't think that they will, with what they're saying, but it is something of a discomforting thought.]
[Hopefully, they'll trust her enough to leave this time as it is.]
Help with what? Your power?
no subject
This is all...new.]
To help everyone back home find a happy ending.
[It's the simplest way they can put it.]
no subject
...Frisk...
[Tanyuu sighs softly, and manages a small smile.]
I'm sure you'll find it.
