PILLAR OF CREATION↴ Upon arriving, things in Wismuth will seem pretty peaceful. It's a massive city, with no shortage of things going on, but things like violent crime and homelessness are at an all time low. You can wander the streets without much scrutiny, presumed to just be tourists, and most people here come across as helpful and friendly. ► VIBRANCY: The main thing that sets this planet apart is its vibrancy - AKA, the raw creative energy its filled with, flowing from its status as a Pillar of Creation. There is no literal pillar, but Wismuth and its planet is a place where Creation's energy comes through strongest. As a result, everything here feels somehow more real, more intense in a way that's hard to put a finger on. Life is abundant, and its bleeds through in every sensation. ► ATTRACTIONS: There are plenty of things to see while going around the city. First and foremost, there is a lovely beach area bordering the ocean, and a number of tourist aimed attractions built around it. There are giant malls, movie theaters, live stage performances, museums and all kinds of other points of cultural interest. Anything you can do in a big city you can do here, but better. ► ALLOWANCES: The Ringmaster will be giving everyone a reasonable amount of local currency for a few days on the town. You can't make any massive acquisitions with it, but it's more than enough to eat out, see some shows, go to the beach, and whatever you like. You can feel free to pick up some casual supplies, like mundane clothing and souvenirs. There will be more given out later, after the performance week. ► PERFORMANCE: Performance week is starting early this time, after only a couple days of exploration. When the carnival has already been on vacation for a month, the Ringmaster figures they may as well get right to it, and then do more touring afterwards. Members of the local populace will find themselves in the carnival once performances begin, dazzled by the other worldly sights. Magic doesn't seem to exist here, despite the fact that it will flow easier for people bringing it from other worlds. |

Luckily they're just at the skate park, which looks about what you'd expect from a skate park--swooping concrete covered in graffiti. Most of the people there seem to be Yuya's age, or a little older, zooming and flipping around on skateboards and rollerblades.
Yuya looks around the entrance, then points to a bike rack.] You can park your bike there, I think?

Anyway. She looks at the bike rack, before promptly shoving it awkwardly Beside the rack. This thing is way too wide to just fit into the bars of one of those sorts of things... ...Her helmet, meanwhile, ends up strung on her ba- Wait is that her soul jar under her hair there???
Well whatever.] ...........Everyone's your size... [She immediately mutters, once she looks out at the park.]

Yuya gives the park patrons a once over when she mentions it.] Oh, yeah. Don't worry, though, I'll be right here!
[He puts a gentle hand on her shoulder and smiles before nudging her into the park. He looks around for... something that looks like rental equipment.
There is a slightly run down and heavily vandalized shack on the other end of the park. Maybe that?]

Just because there's no one here right now that's your size doesn't mean there never is! I don't think skateboards change size like skates do, anyway.
[At least not for age, although he also is equally unaware of the various types of boards out there.
It's just as well, though, because the rental shack really does have only skateboards. People with rollerblades have to bring their own. Yuya's already fishing for the money in his pocket, pointing to the regular-sized boards.] I'm sure you'd be fine on one of those.

Mmmnh... [She still looks rather unsure. Interested, but...unsure, and she finds herself gently slipping her helmet back on and into place.] ...I didn't use the boards on the moon, [she mumbles, seeing the similarity between these and the snowboards.] ...Is this going to be hard...

[He pats her head as he places the money on the counter, requesting one of the regular skateboards. The bored looking emloyee pulls down a pink and white one, setting it on the counter.]

[Why tricks. What would the point of tricks even be. She doesn't know, but she'll carefully take the board, holding it. And then putting it on the ground...and staring at everyone on the course. Maybe she can, uh. Copy for this. Yeah...th...that can't go wrong right?

She pushes, and then proceeds to quickly get that foot on the board as well, otherwise standing rather stiffly while it coasts across the flat ground.

Thusly, Reira is very likely going to eat pavement very soon. And that's exactly why Yuya goes from casual to Concerned Mom and lunges forward with his arms outstretched to try and grab her before she can teeter over the edge.] Reira!

[Where the skateboard has rolled all the way across, feet away. Yuya releases Reira before sliding down into the pool--it's about six feet deep, so once he's down he turns and holds his hands out in case she needs any assistance dropping as well.]

I'll show you first. [He sets the skateboard on the ground and steps on it. His skates make it kind of difficult with how bulky they are, but he manages to find his balance well enough.][He kicks off the ground to start rolling, then tips backwards slightly to show her... very slightly, making one very wide and very slow turn.]
