PILLAR OF CREATION↴ Upon arriving, things in Wismuth will seem pretty peaceful. It's a massive city, with no shortage of things going on, but things like violent crime and homelessness are at an all time low. You can wander the streets without much scrutiny, presumed to just be tourists, and most people here come across as helpful and friendly. ► VIBRANCY: The main thing that sets this planet apart is its vibrancy - AKA, the raw creative energy its filled with, flowing from its status as a Pillar of Creation. There is no literal pillar, but Wismuth and its planet is a place where Creation's energy comes through strongest. As a result, everything here feels somehow more real, more intense in a way that's hard to put a finger on. Life is abundant, and its bleeds through in every sensation. ► ATTRACTIONS: There are plenty of things to see while going around the city. First and foremost, there is a lovely beach area bordering the ocean, and a number of tourist aimed attractions built around it. There are giant malls, movie theaters, live stage performances, museums and all kinds of other points of cultural interest. Anything you can do in a big city you can do here, but better. ► ALLOWANCES: The Ringmaster will be giving everyone a reasonable amount of local currency for a few days on the town. You can't make any massive acquisitions with it, but it's more than enough to eat out, see some shows, go to the beach, and whatever you like. You can feel free to pick up some casual supplies, like mundane clothing and souvenirs. There will be more given out later, after the performance week. ► PERFORMANCE: Performance week is starting early this time, after only a couple days of exploration. When the carnival has already been on vacation for a month, the Ringmaster figures they may as well get right to it, and then do more touring afterwards. Members of the local populace will find themselves in the carnival once performances begin, dazzled by the other worldly sights. Magic doesn't seem to exist here, despite the fact that it will flow easier for people bringing it from other worlds. |

She sighed and looked sad at that for a moment. Rip really did love her musket. But, without her companion here, she was forced to do something else. "Zhen it vill be finding zomething zhat suits me." Like knives or singing or something along those lines.
Rip had time to figure it out as far as she was concerned.

"Are you defenseless otherwise, Miss Winkle?" he probes with a hint of curiosity. He doesn't know how durable vampires are. Mari was different and special. Half of him isn't expecting Rip to reveal more about herself but it never hurt to try.

As for his question, her smile fades a bit and she looks away from the butterfly thing to look out over the city below them. Was she defenseless? Her greatest defense was her weaponry!
"...I know how to fight if zhat is vat you are asking. I am not just a vampire, I am alzo a soldier." But, despite that and her durability, she had speed and strength, just not completely to the degree of some of the other vampires in her unit. Whether she was defenseless or not...depended entirely on what she was fighting and the tactics they used.
Already he could figure out she was very susceptible to fear.

"Soldiers are a dime a dozen. I've taken out quite a bit of 'soldiers' in my world. But if you have your fight, then you have your fight, pride or not." He's not really all that interested. It's really just gauging for responses and reactions to gain information.

The very ones the mirror's picked at her for. Rip was not just an average soldier! "I am better zhan most! I am zhe battalions top sniper und never miss my target." So there was definitely pride and a hint of determination. Her usefulness depended completely on her skills and as one can imagine, being one of only two women among a thousand men was not easy.
She fought her way to the top and was damn proud to do so.

He knows by now that words can do a lot more harm than actions. He knows how to manipulate a person into getting what he wanted. He could be charming, threatening or outright dangerous. He also points down towards the ground from where he's standing, "I, for one, can in fact survive a fall like this unscathed."

She would make them realize her strength! That her talents made her just as useful here as they did back home..
As much loved to manipulate people herself, sometimes..she was too easily manipulated herself. "...Let me guess. Magic."

What talents she did have would be put to use for the carnival and not her own pride. He's seen from example that trying to impress doesn't really go a long way as much as just doing ones job right.

"I zee." What she could bring to the carnival remained to be seen but, considering the jobs she was given, they would be...interesting to say the least.

"But don't be so disappointed or disheartened, Miss Winkle. The carnival has a lot of opportunities to improve oneself. In any case, if you are done stalking me, I'll be going now."

"..Ve vill see about zhat." She had her doubts but, she could also tell that Rip was really, just out of her depths. "...Fine. I zhink my anger at you haz vorked itself out anyway." Even if he did scare it out of her quite literally.

"Just one final piece of advice. You're patrol so you'll have to meet the Warden eventually. I wouldn't make him mad if I were you. Be respectful and listen well," He begins as if to paint the most devious picture he can to unnerve her, "You'll know him by his bones~"
And with that he'll smile with the most courteous bow and then just drop from her view completely. Who knows where he went but it is fast enough to rival the speediest of persons.

Before she could even say anything, Tyki was gone and she was left on a roof top. Part of her wanted to curse him out for leaving her there and the other part? She might be a little relieved as she gradually makes her way back down the stairs t head off on her own once more.
What the hell did she get herself into this time...?
