THE BIG CLEANSE↴![]() As the carnival recovers, the Ringmaster has brought it to the gates of a famous interdimensional bathhouse to rest. She won't be joining you for most of it, though she will be checking in frequently and available by radio. She's fixed a large portion of the Silver Mirror after it shattered, but it seems like pieces are missing. She doesn't want to rest until the missing shards are dealt with, and the Mirror itself is locked away safely. ► YOUR OTHER HALF: The shards missing from the Silver Mirror didn't just disappear - after breaking apart in Eden, fragments of the object embedded themselves in the spirits of those not already touched by its powers, and those that had been the most fae-touched. That means, your characters. The effect of this, explained in more detail on the plotting post, is that some characters will be splitting into two versions of themselves: the Light, and the Dark. This doesn't mean good and evil, of course, it's far more complicated than that. Splits can start happening at any time after arriving in Shabon, and initially characters won't know how to rejoin with their twins. Later on, it will become apparent that they need to reconnect via the shard of the Mirror they share... of course, in order to rejoin, you have to have both halves, and not all twins will be as eager to go back to the way things were before. This plot point is optional. ► SPA DAY: When you're not engaging in metaphysical division, you are free to enjoy the many luxuries that Shabon offers. Things will mostly have an east-Asian bend, like what you would see in the movie Spirited Away, but as long as it doesn't affect the setting much, you can honestly have whatever spa-type services available that you want. Food is served both in restaurants and 'buffet' style. There are also well paid sex workers here, if that is your thing, but make sure to tip well. ► FESTIVAL TOWN: The city surrounding Shabondamashii is largely meant to catch the business of interdimensional tourists. There are frequent parades and other events held, and the architecture is very closely packed. It's easy to get lost if you leave the bathhouse, but it's definitely worth it if you like party. You can pick out a few outfits for yourself and some fun nick nacks, but nothing that would normally require mod approval. |

It is Doll.
Maybe a little "darker", but it's her for all intents and purposes. She straightens up and turns back to fetch her towel where she dropped it on her mad sprint to make sure Yuya didn't drown, and comes back to the bath. No polite angling, no attempts to cover herself, she is stark naked and okay with anybody seeing her with nothing on apparently."I'll stay here until ya get out. Wouldn' want ya drownin'," she mumbles as she slides into a corner of the bath.

And then he flushes, letting out a strangled shriek before turning his face away. Well, he's definitely away now. "W-what are you doing in here?! This isn't the girl's bath!"
no subject
"Yeah, that bath's for ladies. But if I'm botherin' ya I c'n go..." The idea of bathing with pretty, perfect ladies made her throat close up, and she figured once she was under the water, none of the men would know the difference or even look twice at her. Seemed like an okay plan until now.

"I-I mean, you're a girl, aren't you? So why would you bathe on the men's side?"
no subject
"But 'm not a lady-lady. Ladies are curvy, 'n got perfect skin, 'n soft long hair, aren't all wirey 'n skinny like me. They'd just stare at me. Wonder what I was doin' there. Thought it'd be better here, nobody'd look twice once I was in. 'Least none 'a th'men in the circus looked twice at me."
no subject
"I don't think that's what would happen." Joker told him once about how he worked at the circus before the carnival, so he assumes that's the one she's talking about. Granted, it could probably apply to the carnival too, but the carnival isn't that physically close with each other where it would even come up, he's pretty sure. "You don't have to be a lady to be a girl."
no subject
"You haven' been 'round many ladies, then," she says with a dour frown. "They've been lookin' at me all day." That's the self-conscious, borderline-paranoia talking. Nobody has been looking at her, she's just convinced they're silently judging her clothes, her body, her face...
She frowns, confused. "What d'ya mean?"

He doesn't know if what he's saying is even helping, being largely unconcerned with his own appearance and not making ogling other people a habit.

Doll is managing to look quietly angry while still hugging herself and being small in a corner. Even if Yuya won't look at her, she's staring down the back of his head. "'Prob'ly not that bad', ya'have no idea what you're talkin' about. But I bet you'll say jus' about anythin' ta get me gone, so--"
She starts climbing out of the bath.

"It's the guy's bath, anyway," he grumbles sullenly. He doesn't know, but he's not about to ask her to sty and explain right now.
LET ME KNOW IF THIS ISN'T COOL AND I'LL FIX.... 8D;
--and given they were the only two in the bath, spotting Yuya's clothing isn't too hard. Doll isn't usually one for pranks, especially not cruel ones. Her jokes are tempered by her empathy.
This part of her has none, though. And so it seems like a very fitting thing to take his clothes and stash them in the women's changing room before she leaves.
LMAOOO DOLL
So he lets her go, silently, thinking to himself that maybe he'll find her later and ask.
... Maybe not immediately, though, because in half an hour he's going to find himself stranded in the bath without his clothes, no idea where they are, and having to make the hard decision if he's going to actually go look for them or bunker down in the bath until someone else shows up and he can ask to borrow a robe.
This is the worst.
HAD A THOUGHT OVER THE WEEKEND, but let me know if you want to just end it at the last. 83b
Sometime during the story, she meets Yuya's eyes-- and smiles. It's the kind of smile that acknowledges the person, but nothing else. No evidence of the terse exchange they'd just had, or the theft of clothing. Just a Nice to See You smile.

When he sees Doll again, he's reluctant to approach. Because she's talking to people, and because he's pretty sure she's the one who moved his clothes. And when she makes eye contact, Yuya flusters and looks away as he shuffles on by. Awkward.
no subject
"Hey, Yuya!" Doll bounces up to him, her hair looking like somebody blow dried and curled the ends-- and is that lip gloss?? "Something wrong? What's with the look, hm?"
no subject
He's also not sure if she's messing with him by playing dumb, so he hunches his shoulders a little defensively. "What look? You're not mad?"

If it happened to Ignatius... something weird is going on here. It's a little exasperating.
