Where: Shabondamashii Bathhouse
What: With the Silver Mirror claimed and the animals of Eden relocated, it's time for the carnival to kick back and enjoy an interdimensional bathhouse and the surrounding festival city. Meanwhile, the scattered shards of the Mirror have an unexpected effect.
Warnings: Dark/Light halves acting weird.

THE BIG CLEANSE↴

As the carnival recovers, the Ringmaster has brought it to the gates of a famous interdimensional bathhouse to rest. She won't be joining you for most of it, though she will be checking in frequently and available by radio. She's fixed a large portion of the Silver Mirror after it shattered, but it seems like pieces are missing. She doesn't want to rest until the missing shards are dealt with, and the Mirror itself is locked away safely.

► YOUR OTHER HALF: The shards missing from the Silver Mirror didn't just disappear - after breaking apart in Eden, fragments of the object embedded themselves in the spirits of those not already touched by its powers, and those that had been the most fae-touched. That means, your characters. The effect of this, explained in more detail on the plotting post, is that some characters will be splitting into two versions of themselves: the Light, and the Dark. This doesn't mean good and evil, of course, it's far more complicated than that.

Splits can start happening at any time after arriving in Shabon, and initially characters won't know how to rejoin with their twins. Later on, it will become apparent that they need to reconnect via the shard of the Mirror they share... of course, in order to rejoin, you have to have both halves, and not all twins will be as eager to go back to the way things were before. This plot point is optional.

► SPA DAY: When you're not engaging in metaphysical division, you are free to enjoy the many luxuries that Shabon offers. Things will mostly have an east-Asian bend, like what you would see in the movie Spirited Away, but as long as it doesn't affect the setting much, you can honestly have whatever spa-type services available that you want. Food is served both in restaurants and 'buffet' style. There are also well paid sex workers here, if that is your thing, but make sure to tip well.

► FESTIVAL TOWN: The city surrounding Shabondamashii is largely meant to catch the business of interdimensional tourists. There are frequent parades and other events held, and the architecture is very closely packed. It's easy to get lost if you leave the bathhouse, but it's definitely worth it if you like party. You can pick out a few outfits for yourself and some fun nick nacks, but nothing that would normally require mod approval.

Haruhi isn't going to complain about having some fun and this place seems like a lot of fun. She doesn't have anything to wear to blend in. Not that she minds, of course, and her main entertainment mainly involves just watching other people smile and laugh.

She blinks in surprise when someone approaches her. "A-Ah, I guess you're right. I just don't know if I could get anything." After all, she wants to save her money for something a bit more important than an outfit. Never know when you might need it, after all. "You're...someone from the carnival, right?" She asks with a polite smile.

"Oh?" Carly has to take a minute to give Haruhi a look over. She seems slightly familiar, so she's definitely new, but that means...

"Ah~ I am!" Carly cheers, hurriedly shapeshifting on the spot- for a few seconds there's a large hummingbird there. Haruhi might recognize that from the rescue party- they might not have spoken during that mess, but it would have at least been a recognizable form.

She's swift to turn back however. "Carly Nagisa! Wardrobe Manager, and current Administrator," she introduces, beaming. "It's good to see you got out with everyone safely~ Though..." She blinks, genuinely curious about the girl's earlier comment. "What do you mean... 'If you could'? What's stopping you?"

She blinks in surprise at the sudden shapeshifting. Haruhi can officially say that she has witnessed just about everything at this point. Talking animals and now this. But this was just her reality now and she will get used to it. Soon. But for now, color her absolutely astounded. Though, she quickly cools her shock.

"Nagisa-san. It's a pleasure to meet you." Haruhi says with a polite bow. "I'm Haruhi Fujioka. Thank you along with the rest of the people at the Carnival for saving me. I owe you." She always stays respectful.

"Oh, well, I mostly just want to save money. Never know when you might need it and all that. It's fine, though! I don't really need one."

"Not a problem!! Honestly, we probably owe you at this point...we're not exactly flying into friendly territory after this..." Does she know what territory they'll fly to? NO. But it can't be good.

As it is, she blinks rapidly. "Eh? The money here? Y-You might as well spend all of what you were given, frankly..!! It'll only be good here!"

Currency isn't very universal across the multiverse!

"Oh, really?"

Hm. She understands. Must be something like the difference between yen, dollars, euros, ect. Haruhi feels around in her pocket for the amount that she has. "I don't think I even have enough for a new one anyways. If only I could have grabbed one back in my world..." She knew she had different ones back home thanks to host club shenanigans. If only she knew she'd be here in this very situation...

"Oh, you should though!" she replies quickly. "Here, let's see..." She doesn't grab for the money, but she does wait to see it at least. "You did get the spending money that was being given out right..?"

Oops.

That was probably her job.

"Haha...no?"

Haruhi pulls out her own money that she had, a few coins and yen bills. Man, she should really start carrying around a wallet.

"This is...all i got, actually."

"AH...." The light coming off of Carly turns a brilliant shade of red. "S-Shoot..!!" she squeaks. "I thought I covered everyone!!"

Holding her face in her hands, she groans. "Aaaaah...I'll have to go back and grab it then...Everyone here is given a spending allowance when we go to places like these..! So that we can get souvenirs and things!"

Haruhi shakes her head, doing her best to make sure that Carly didn't feel too bad. "I-It's fine! Really, Nagisa-san!" She says.

"You don't have to do that! You're having such a good time, I don't want to interrupt your fun."

"Of course I have to, it's my job..." Her answer is pretty quick and plain, since. Well. It's her job.

"Here- if I'm putting it off, we'll just pay the other back....pick something you like! I'll use my funds for it for now, and get you the remaining allowance you were supposed to have, how's that?"

"Well, if you say so..." She feels a bit bad because those are Nagisa-san's funds and not her own. But the deal seems pretty fair so it's a win-win situation.

"I'm...not usually too picky about these sort of things so I really wouldn't know what looks good or not." She says with a nervous chuckle.

"Is that so..." Carly studies the girl for a moment, tapping her chin. "MHnnn...well~ You're in luck then!" she cheers. "Helping people with that was my job! ...Erm...Is my job?" Carly blinks.

"...It's just not the same with 'regular' clothes..." She sort of misses working on costumes for everyone. "Ah, well..!! It's just a yukata, so you would only need it to be basic right? Something comfortable!"

Haruhi nods. Nagisa-san was very energetic. It seemed to rub off on her as well, in a way. It certain boosted her mood in a way.

"Yeah, simple and comfortable sounds just up my alley." She says happily. "I don't mind what the colors are."

"Good good~! Hmmm..." Perhaps that enthusiasm is why she's good at her job.

Actually, it's definitely why. "From what I can tell, you'd look good in a lot of colours...it might just be good to look at patterns at this point..! Anything that really catches your eye!"

She says this, but she suspects that if Haruhi had little preference on colour it'll be the same when it comes to patterns...

Anything that catches her eye, huh. Well, she'll try. And by try she means she'll just pick the first thing that catches her eye. She comes across one with a simple pattern to it which she liked. And it was dark so at least she wouldn't stand out. She looks back towards Carly for her approval.

"What about...this?"

"Hmnn?" Carly doesn't seem to be judging, but she does seem somewhat confused. "A boy's yukata..?" Pondering it a moment, she looks Haruhi over and smiles. "Well! If that's the style of fit you want, then that should be fine..! It's definitely a nice simple pattern at least..."

She has no room to question these things, she just finished putting a plant man in a set of women's graduation hakama-

"Told you. I'm not too picky." She's surprisingly used to wearing boys' clothes. Thanks, Host Club. Though, it's interesting that Nagisa-san saw her as a girl. She definitely isn't complaining about it, either way.

"Ahaha. Sorry if it's not too pleasing to your own aesthetics, Nagisa-san." She says with a slightly nervous laugh.

Carly is quick to shake her head. If anything she seems rather pleased with the choice. "Not at all! I just wanted to be sure- it's not a request I see made often!" she explains, nodding. "I guess..." She thinks it over.

"...Mnh...I think the last time anyone picked something like that, it was Steven? We designed a really nice dress for his act~ It was covered in sequins, and stars..." She cuts herself short before she gets carried away. "Anyway- it's not my store so make sure they know that when they're fitting it too, ok?"

"Thanks, Nagisa-san. I'll be sure to let them know." She says with a small nod. Well, the other Carnival people seem pretty nice so far. She'd have to meet this "Steven" sometime soon.

"Ah, you don't have to wait for me if you don't want to. I'd hate to interrupt your fun."

Well that's compliment enough! She does blink. "Oh- it's not interrupting anything, re-" She pauses, realizing something. "Ah...but while you deal with that, I can get the rest of your spending allowance..! It won't take me long- if you're ready before I get here, just sit tight, ok? Or call me on your radio!" Please tell her you got one of those,

"Right. Will do. Thank you, Nagisa-san." Haruhi has thanked her a lot as of recently but she is truly thankful for everything that Nagisa and the carnival had done for her.

Haruhi then turned and went into the fitting rooms, it fitted loosely onto her but the tailors there helped her by tightening it. They didn't seemed to concerned over her choice of yukata. When she is finally properly dressed, Haruhi looks at herself in the mirror and smiles. "It looks good." Nothing that stood out too much.

When Haruhi exits the room, she waits patiently for Nagisa-san's return.

Carly fortunately isn't one to take long- she's as quick as a hummingbird when she takes that shape, and she naturally opts to do just that for the travel. Haruhi does have to wait a little bit though- Carly's no miracle worker!

Eventually however, the bird returns and shifts back, Carly pulling out a satchel with flourish.

"Tadah~! And here is the allowance!" She hasn't taken out what it would require to cover the yukata, just yet. She'll trust Haruhi on that one.
