What: With the Silver Mirror claimed and the animals of Eden relocated, it's time for the carnival to kick back and enjoy an interdimensional bathhouse and the surrounding festival city. Meanwhile, the scattered shards of the Mirror have an unexpected effect.
Warnings: Dark/Light halves acting weird.

THE BIG CLEANSE↴

As the carnival recovers, the Ringmaster has brought it to the gates of a famous interdimensional bathhouse to rest. She won't be joining you for most of it, though she will be checking in frequently and available by radio. She's fixed a large portion of the Silver Mirror after it shattered, but it seems like pieces are missing. She doesn't want to rest until the missing shards are dealt with, and the Mirror itself is locked away safely.

► YOUR OTHER HALF: The shards missing from the Silver Mirror didn't just disappear - after breaking apart in Eden, fragments of the object embedded themselves in the spirits of those not already touched by its powers, and those that had been the most fae-touched. That means, your characters. The effect of this, explained in more detail on the plotting post, is that some characters will be splitting into two versions of themselves: the Light, and the Dark. This doesn't mean good and evil, of course, it's far more complicated than that.

Splits can start happening at any time after arriving in Shabon, and initially characters won't know how to rejoin with their twins. Later on, it will become apparent that they need to reconnect via the shard of the Mirror they share... of course, in order to rejoin, you have to have both halves, and not all twins will be as eager to go back to the way things were before. This plot point is optional.

► SPA DAY: When you're not engaging in metaphysical division, you are free to enjoy the many luxuries that Shabon offers. Things will mostly have an east-Asian bend, like what you would see in the movie Spirited Away, but as long as it doesn't affect the setting much, you can honestly have whatever spa-type services available that you want. Food is served both in restaurants and 'buffet' style. There are also well paid sex workers here, if that is your thing, but make sure to tip well.

► FESTIVAL TOWN: The city surrounding Shabondamashii is largely meant to catch the business of interdimensional tourists. There are frequent parades and other events held, and the architecture is very closely packed. It's easy to get lost if you leave the bathhouse, but it's definitely worth it if you like party. You can pick out a few outfits for yourself and some fun nick nacks, but nothing that would normally require mod approval.

"Ah!"

Haruhi stiffens up in surprise at the sudden presence of the younger girl. She definitely caught her off guard. Was it someone from the Carnival? "O-Oh. Well. I couldn't decide on what to do. I've never been to a place like this so I'm just unsure..."

Honestly, Haruhi is something of a welcoming presence. After running into people that managed to divide themselves into 'halves' numerous times, it's nice to encounter a normal person.

Or at least, someone who responds to things normal. Even the confusion is relatable- the girl nods furiously, her eyes wide. "Mn!! It's a lot of new things, and even though everyone said it's from where I live with niisama, I've never seen anything like it before..."

Probably because she's not originally from the country- being adopted and then winding up in a carnival leaves little time to appreciate the new homeland. "Umn... Some people showed me game things, and stores with toys, I guess..." She doesn't sound entirely certain about what sorts of places she should be suggesting.

"Well, people can go through most of their life not doing things that are always there in their country. I've never done this before, after all, or gone to a public bath and a bunch of other things." Mostly because she couldn't afford them. She isn't exactly the most richest person around. The only time she had a chance to do it was back home with the host club but she never did.

Haruhi looks down at the girl and smiles. "Those all sound fun. We should do them together, sometime. You must have a lot of fun." She says. "Oh. I'm Haruhi. It's nice to meet you." She holds her hand out to her.

"They do?" She's genuinely alarmed by this- but somehow, it makes sense. "...Oh! ...I guess that's ok then... ...I don't know a lot about where I used to live either I guess..." There wasn't much to know, but hey, the history probably would have been important too right?

It takes a few seconds of staring at the hand before she realizes what she's meant to do with it. And even then, it's a bit awkward, given her own are rather large and wing-like. "Um! I'm Reira," she introduces. "All of them though? ...is there time for all of them..?"

She didn't know, huh. That was unusual but she is sure there is a proper explanation for it. "Well, I'd be happy to tell you anything you want to know if you ever get curious." She's studied a lot.

Oh, right. She didn't even notice the wings. Weird. Maybe her mind is just getting used to these sort of things at this point. Awkwardly, Haruhi put her arm back to her side, her cheeks slightly flushed with embarrassment. "Oh, of course not. Not all of them. Maybe the ones that are the most fun then?"

"Yeah?" She doesn't sound excited exactly, but she does certainly seem to be considering Haruhi's offer. It's always good to learn new things.

Speaking of new things, Reira seems just as embarrassed at that last bit- at the very least, her face flushes as well. "Umnhhhh..." She swallows, looking at the ground. ".....I don't know which ones are the most fun..." she mutters, as if it were a strictly ordered matter she should know. "...I just know some people showed me some of them."

She seems a bit nervous. Ah, maybe she should tune down a bit? Well, she doesn't know exactly what she turnt up exactly but she doesn't want to scare the child. A soft smile crosses Haruhi's lips.

"That's fine. I'm really fine with playing whatever. As long as it's with you, I'm sure it will be fun no matter what. I really just want to get to know you better." She says. And it's true. She is very curious as to what she's all about. It's important to get to know her co-workers (is that even the right word to describe them?) so she wont step on any toes.

Nervous, perhaps. Most of it is just awkwardness in truth. She doesn't have the most social experience, especially not in a carnival of adults and teenagers.

The question is simply choosing the correct game now, and that's a bit tricky. There was...Fish catching??? Candy carving??? "Mnhhhh..."

She frowns, before blinking up at Haruhi. Hold on a minute- "...How do you learn things about me if we're playing a game though..?" She thought that was something that happened by talking!

Or maybe following them around as some seem to prefer, but you're focused on a game if you're playing games.

"Well, that's simple. We can talk and play." Haruhi is a natural multitasker so she's used to doing multiple things at once. Though, not everyone is her so that was something to consider.

"Plus, from what I've heard, the lines can sometimes get pretty long. We can just simply talk while we wait. It definitely helps time go by a lot quicker than it actually is."

"Oh!" Oh, yes! That definitely makes sense. "...I don't think there's lots of lines for the games here, but talking makes sense!! Umm..."

Now they just have to find a game. Yuuya showed her one where they carve candy before. There was also one where you were supposed to catch fish turtle things in paper nets...

She tries to see if there's one nearby, so that she doesn't have to hunt those down again. "Ummmmm...."

...There's one! ...She thinks. She points toward a stand that appears to have numerous strings hanging downward, some of them tied to prizes. "...Is that a game?"

Well, it definitely has the long lines Haruhi mentioned.

Well, it certainly seems like it. "The games usually have prizes so I'd say that it is a game." Though, she couldn't say for certain. Games usually had prizes at them, right? ...Right? It's hard to tell due to the long line.

"We don't have to go, of course. You came here to relax, right?"

"...I came here because we all came here after we left Eden," she answers plainly. "...I'm just looking at stuff, I think." Anyway. She's already walking toward the line, so you better keep up! Or...

...Or she'll have to walk back. Which would suck, but whatever. "I guess we found a game though, so now we can play it and talk." Or was it talk and play...

Oh jeez. She was fast. Haruhi speed walks just to catch up with her. "Yeah, right." But what to talk about? She was talking to a kid, not a customer. She'd really have to just...she didn't know for sure. But she'd think of something!

"So, are you enjoying yourself? I hope I didn't rip you away from your friends or anything."

She lives in the moment- or maybe the moment is all she's really sure about for now. There's certainly still a line to wait through but...well, they're waiting in it now.

Reira merely nods at Haruhi's question, but blinks a little rapidly at the second part. "...I was already walking alone," she questions aloud. "...How would I be taken away from someone?" Apparently she's failed to clue into the fact that kids who wander away from their chaperones are...well.

Still supposed to be with them.

Not that she had a chaperone or anything but still. "...I think everyone else wanted to do other things anyway. Like get 'spa' things, or find food." Bigger People Stuff, she's determined.
