What: With the Silver Mirror claimed and the animals of Eden relocated, it's time for the carnival to kick back and enjoy an interdimensional bathhouse and the surrounding festival city. Meanwhile, the scattered shards of the Mirror have an unexpected effect.
Warnings: Dark/Light halves acting weird.

THE BIG CLEANSE↴ As the carnival recovers, the Ringmaster has brought it to the gates of a famous interdimensional bathhouse to rest. She won't be joining you for most of it, though she will be checking in frequently and available by radio. She's fixed a large portion of the Silver Mirror after it shattered, but it seems like pieces are missing. She doesn't want to rest until the missing shards are dealt with, and the Mirror itself is locked away safely. ► YOUR OTHER HALF: The shards missing from the Silver Mirror didn't just disappear - after breaking apart in Eden, fragments of the object embedded themselves in the spirits of those not already touched by its powers, and those that had been the most fae-touched. That means, your characters. The effect of this, explained in more detail on the plotting post, is that some characters will be splitting into two versions of themselves: the Light, and the Dark. This doesn't mean good and evil, of course, it's far more complicated than that. Splits can start happening at any time after arriving in Shabon, and initially characters won't know how to rejoin with their twins. Later on, it will become apparent that they need to reconnect via the shard of the Mirror they share... of course, in order to rejoin, you have to have both halves, and not all twins will be as eager to go back to the way things were before. This plot point is optional. ► SPA DAY: When you're not engaging in metaphysical division, you are free to enjoy the many luxuries that Shabon offers. Things will mostly have an east-Asian bend, like what you would see in the movie Spirited Away, but as long as it doesn't affect the setting much, you can honestly have whatever spa-type services available that you want. Food is served both in restaurants and 'buffet' style. There are also well paid sex workers here, if that is your thing, but make sure to tip well. ► FESTIVAL TOWN: The city surrounding Shabondamashii is largely meant to catch the business of interdimensional tourists. There are frequent parades and other events held, and the architecture is very closely packed. It's easy to get lost if you leave the bathhouse, but it's definitely worth it if you like party. You can pick out a few outfits for yourself and some fun nick nacks, but nothing that would normally require mod approval.

"Mmmnhhmmm..." This talk is getting very gloomy, and she's probably going to empty this beer. "I don't know if things at home ever got this bad, at least... ...though, in a weird way, for all there's a huge amount of danger here, the positives really outweigh the ones at home too! Like some sort of balancing act!"

The woman shakes her head. "I still remember when I first got here though... ...Mnnhh...wish I'd done more to enjoy myself then..." Hindsight is 20/20 and all that.

Well, Shura can tell where the mood is going. Sure, chugging was completely acceptable and appropriate behavior to Shura, but drinking in a bad mood only made for bad hangovers.

"It sounds like you've been here a while, huh~? I didn't really get to see much of the place when it was still mostly a proper carnival. Musta had some good times."

A mood change is definitely in order- and Carly is pretty easy to get to do that. "Mnn?" She blinks, and after a moment of thought, chokes. "HAH! I- I think I've been here longest out of everyone here now!" she realizes with a yelp. "Sheesh! They really cleared out after the vampires I guess..."

With a snort, the woman huffs. "...Their loss..! I bet none of them ever saw the Carnival's wintery moon, or Atlantis..." Didn't even need steering, she's already talking about the fun stuff...

That long? So just how long was she talking? Shura hadn't really thought much about the long-term employees of the Carnival, though she knew it had a few. They had their reasons, no doubt.

And though she's not that interested in getting to know people all that well when she's determined not to stick around for longer than she needs, hearing good stories is always a fun way to pass time, especially the more alcohol they have.

"Atlantis? Ah, that musta been somethin'. That's the kind of thing you hear about in books back home."

Years long, Shura. Years long.

As it is. "Oooo it was~ We all had to take different forms- not for 'undercover' reasons, but just to be more comfortable...because everything, even the Carnival, was underwater!! So everyone was a mermaid of some sort! Apparently they're sort of like...cousins to the Fae? They were really nice at least..."

"Ah, that's better than Eden. Hated bein' in tha shape, y'know? But if you were underwater, I guess you'd have to make some adjustments." Like... gills. And flippers. May as well just go all the way in that situation.

"Wonder what kind of booze they had. You can't really ferment stuff the same way underwater, right?" It's an important question when she's thinking about what to drink next.

"Mnnh...it wasn't too bad, for me?" She ponders it for a moment, before shrugging. "...Getting used to not having arms was definitely strange, but it gave me an idea for a new spell anyway! ...I just hope I don't have to use it in a fight before I've practiced," she adds with a grimace.

As it is. She grins. "...I can tell you~"

Well don't hold out on her Carly, tell her!

If that isn't completely unsubtle, Shura doesn't know what is. But the beer is slowly worming its way into Shura and she's in a good mood, so she'll go along with a laugh.

"Oho? Should you be sharin' your secret techniques with me, huh?" Not that Shura really had anyone to tell...

"Mnnhhh....maybe..~" Saying it's secret just makes her want to play it as secret!

Fortunately she's also getting drunk and cheering up, so secrets are hard to keep. "It's really big though..~ Like something in a kaiju movie~!"

"A kaiju movie? What, is it some kinda laser beam or somethin' like that?" Shura motions with her hand, trying to portray some kind of big explosion with her mouth.

"Noooo, noooo!" she snorts, making gestures with her hands. Like if she caught a massive fish- except she's not talking about fish. "Think the other parts of Kaiju movies..~ The best part~"

"Some kinda wrestlin' move?" That's what she was miming, right? Godzilla taking out Ghidorah??

"Ooof..! It's the giant monster part! The giant monster!"

Awwww, she totally would have guessed that...
