THEORY & CONCLUSION↴![]() At the midnight between Day 109 and Day 110, something happens. For most people, it won't be clear what - yet, they are shaken by it just the same. Violent tremors appear out of nowhere, rattling the entirety of the Polar station, violent enough to throw sleeping test subjects off their bunks. The source is unclear, but there is a sudden flurry of activity from staff as power flickers and is lost in various parts of the facility. Subjects, for the most part, will be left to their cells while they try to sort things out. The next morning, the staff are late picking people up. It's more like 6:30AM than the usual 6AM when they arrive to take people to the farm, which is a bit of tardiness that is entirely without precedent. Any questions about the incident the previous night will be waved off with the explanation of 'technical difficulties' that have been 'resolved.' ► DELTA: The three new Deltas will be left in their cells for even longer, waiting to be picked up, instructed that they would be escorted elsewhere instead of to the farm. Around 6:45AM some unfamiliar technicians will arrive and tell them that they are here to begin their processing into Delta. They are led into a previously untouched section of the station, where they are invited into a somewhat more intimate medical room to be asked some cursory questions and given a check up. Then, their suits will be removed, and they will be provided with their new uniforms, which they can apply like normal clothes. Delta life begins there. There will be a top level for the initial parts of their processing to be played out. Ultimately, however, they will end up being given a tour of the new Delta facilities, which amounts to a waterfront area that borders the new apartments they'll be staying in, as well a small supply shop where they can pick up an allotted amount of 'amenities' per day, based on their level of productivity and other achievements. This includes luxury items like food, pleasant smelling soaps, or other hygiene related tools. There are even small things like decorations or pictures of other places available, though they are fairly expensive. The first day will mostly involve the processing, a tour, and some basic training regarding the new tools they will be using, such as the mandatory visors and basic computer access. The next day, observation shifts in the farm will start, as will participation in trials. ► FARMING: The Farm will continue as normal, though it seems like there are fewer staff observing it at the moment. The ones that are there seem a little bit more tense than usual. Power is still down in some places, but the Farm is thankfully still active. Sometimes the productivity turn-in scanners might be a bit glitchy, so try not to panic if it measures fewer points than you're due. ► TRIALS: Trials are continuing as projected, though with the most broad of experiments already under way, they may be more selective. If you have an idea for a trial you can be sure to share it with the staff, and they will take it under advisement! Any information you want to provide is encouraged, they will say, especially if it involves notable traits about you or your fellow test subjects - or perhaps behavioral patterns you've noticed. You might even be rewarded! |

He sends a sort of...donut shape, various tiny figures (including himself, Yuuya, Ignatius, Rita, and notably a random technician) held within. Outside however, is a shrouded figure that he tries to convey a sensation of warmth and kindness. A...summery feeling one could say.
The figure waves, and shoots a pair of Golden Arrows: one hits himself, another hits Yuuya, both seemingly asleep... and yet both caricatures immediately appear to be reading notes once struck.
Before sending the questioning sensation of 'understand?' along, the entire thing is replaced with the clear image of someone's hand written note: 'YOU ARE NOT ALONE'
Understand? A feeling of elation soars, and with it hope. Understand? There is an ally, out there!

Rita can hardly believe it. She didn't think anyone would come for them. But then... if that summery feeling is any indication, it probably isn't them they're looking to help, necessarily.
After processing that revelation and allowing her surprise to subside, Rita tries pushing forth an image of her own. A woman, with long hair and a golden crown resembling a halo, looming over a number of other figures, one surrounded with roses, another with purple nightshade flowers. The Summer Court. Is this 'ally' with them? She wonders, cautious, uncertain.

'IGNATIUS. ALSO, ALTRUISM.'
It'd be a weird trap, he thinks- feelings of trust followed by the idea of foolishness at the image of the Rose Queem and her ilk- if the ones forming the trap targetted Ignatius first and specifically.
no subject
However, it's followed by a feeling of resignation, of urgency. Fine. She doesn't know that this ally has any interest in their wellbeing besides getting their buddy Ignatius out, but they can't afford to be choosy about their friends right now.
Determination, acceptance. If this mystery ally is a resource they can use, they'd damn well better use it.

First- the hand drawn map, and in Rita's case more questioning. The image of her passing through doors where the tiny Gongenzaka cannot comes to mind; does she think she could gain access to this area?
She can probably see why it's important. A large question mark briefly appears, followed by images of items Rita may be able to guess as 'taken on arrival'; the door image appears again, as well as the map...this time surrounded by question marks. Could she find out where their things are located?
no subject
But as those questions arise, it ebbs away into uncertainty, and ultimately, a no. She doesn't know where their things are. She can't just hop over to where Ignatius is.
Focusing, she alters that image of the map a little, highlighting their current sector: Sector B. That's the area she's authorized to access right now.

Affirmation- he understands the answers, and the limitations. But, there is the feeling that this shouldn't be too much of an issue.
He shows the image of a few other notes- one explaining that there's a Plant somewhere in this place, and another noting that they themselves need to form some sort of plan.
He conveys the image of himself, Yuuya, and others in black suits confined in a close-fit box. Rita however, is in a slightly larger box. It's reassurance that comes with this- she might not have immediate access to what they need, but she has more leeway at least and that's something.
Gongenzaka flashes the images of those he's shared information to- an image of him passing notes to them projected as well.
They can surely come up with something right?
no subject
She'll try showing him an image of a control panel; not a specific one, but just the sort of thing one might find throughout the facility. The image then zooms until it's inside the device, displaying complex codes... and a hand that reaches in and starts rearranging those digits.
Everything here runs on computer systems and magic, and those are Rita's specialties, especially when combined. Maybe she can hack those systems.

He'll repeat an image Lambert sent him....prefacing it with Lambert talking 'at' him, in his mind.
Various eyes along the walls, lights on, they themselves frozen...and the lights and eyes slowly closing before they move on. To more easily get the idea in, Gongenzaka uses his 'blaring siren' example of cutting the cord. If she can focus on alarm systems, and defense systems, that will be a huge plus!
no subject
She'll try to work with the imagery Gongenzaka's provided. She'll show him four figures with barely enough features to identify them as herself and the other new Deltas. The two representing Tyki and Yukio, she moves to associate with the eyes and sirens. The ones representing herself and Sans instead move to a different space, represented with an examination table, needles, test tubes.
Two of them in security, two in research. Maybe those in security will know where to start when it comes to messing with these systems.
no subject
Yet, there is hesitance...When he shows Tyki and Yukio, there is a sense of unfamiliarity. The desire to trust, but the knowledge that he simply doesn't know them well enough.
There is a sort of prod against the other- What does she think? Should he reach out to either of them?
no subject
Although... maybe Rita can handle it.
Once again, she borrows some of Gongenzaka's imagery, returning to the idea of the box within a box. In the inner box, these figures representing the four Deltas are bound tightly in chains, unable to move. But when they move to the outer box, those chains loosen significantly, allowing them to move their arms, turn their heads, that sort of thing. They have some breathing room there.
Maybe she can talk to some of the other Deltas herself. Just, not here, where they aren't permitted to talk freely. But there... that might be worth a shot.
no subject
He pauses in his thought, and then has another idea- the image of Rita and those other Deltas, out in their 'free space'. Rita holds some sort of paper slip, it seems- words seem to fill it directly from her hands. The paper is passed to the others, who slowly gain '!' symbols above their heads in understanding.
Gongenzaka doesn't really know how her ability works entirely...but she could probably use that pretty easily to get the others filled in, right?
There is a moment of hesitance, as if he wants to add something more... ...But in the end, there is no further thought. Instead, one more feeling of hope. A sort of 'good luck'.
no subject
All the other stuff isn't easy, but she'll take it step by step. At least they still have a few ways of communicating, even if they can't speak freely.
no subject
The image of a sheet of paper rolling up, with a sense of finality comes forth. They seem to be done with what they can discuss for now.
So he brings the image of the false 'sun' in the Farm's sky, as well as a clock, and a question mark. Chat again tomorrow? If she sets a time, he can contact her then...assuming she knows when she'll be around.
no subject
She will be around the next day, but with the True Name trials underway, she'll be spending much of her time observing those participants, and will likely be found standing somewhere near one of them, watching silently.
no subject
One last burst of hope, and then a sense of farewell before the line cuts- if Rita pays attention, she'll only really see Gongenzaka in the corner of her eye, heading for some other work task.
