What: The carnival arrives at a new location and has its first performance week with the new cast, as outlined here. This is a general mingling log for convenience purposes, but players are welcome to make as many other logs for this purpose as desired.
Warnings: Could be a lot of things, around these parts.

THE REALM OF DREAMS↴ As the carnival arrives at its first stop since its recruitment phase, and prepares to put its new band of workers to the test. In the meantime, there is a whole new world of dreams and nightmares to be explored, and threats to be faced on carnival turf. As of S1:D11, the carnival will be opening its doors to the creatures within, and the carnival will be open daily from noon to midnight, though the connection to the realm will be constant. This is an all purpose mingle log for the full duration of the stay, so please mark top levels with some estimate of what days they'll be occurring on. Please bring any mod questions to the original plotting post.

[On the Wing]

[On the day of departure, Carly has a small back packed and ready. Snacks have been set inside-a lot of them, in fact-and once it's safely buckled around her shoulders, she gives her wings a test stretch and flap or two before nodding to herself.

This is how she is moving through the carnival now, as she heads for the gates.

This is the day she leaves with the Scouts, just as she's been telling others-but will anyone be coming to see her off?

Or will they just wait until she returns?]

[IT'S FLAPPYBIRD]

[The dreamland is an intoxicating place in a number of ways, and despite all warnings it is hard to resist floating around through it. Carly flits and flies in both her typical form and the form of a hummingbird, and the more she soars the more giddy she gets, spinning and spiralling as the world moves around her.] Pfffhhhhhnnahahahaha~!

[If she's not careful, she could be mistaken for a resident herself.

That or she'll just get eaten as she floats around.]

[Sleep Tight, Don't Let The Fairies Bite...]

[Carly isn't one to assume she can stay awake forever. Not as if she doesn't try to start, of course, but she isn't going to force it. not when she SWEARS Sans isn't bothering at all!!

But she has come PREPARED. A dreamcatcher hangs around her throat, and when she finally does end up dozing off at her work table or on her bed, it's safely, and soundly...

...with the occasional 'fairy' dancing around...

And even rarer, a tiny red-headed little baby.]

[NIGHTMARES DON'T SCARE ME probably]

[Nightmares.

Carly swallows when she encounters one herself, great and dripping black. It's quite the nasty sight, but she's determined not to stand down, even pulling out her duel disk for this one.] ARISE, ASLLA PISCU..! [she shouts, bringing forward the inky black vessel of the god she shares her body with, directing it against the nightmare with a nod. It's by no means an easy fight-certainly, the clash is going to last for a bit, with Carly largely focusing on just holding the card to the disk while getting some strange violet flames ready.

To anyone unfamiliar with the card however, the sight could look a little different. Almost like...two nightmares, even.

[ Chiaki's minding her own business, sitting behind a tent and playing her game, when she sees the tailor walking by.

She wouldn't normally say anything. It isn't her business where the other workers go. Nevertheless: ]

You're leaving?

That's right!

[She doesn't quite realize how bad that sounds, but hopefully her own additions will fix that.] All of the scouts have to leave today! It means I'll be gone for at least a whole day or so!

--Oh. You're coming back.

[ Good. ... Actually, that explains the size of her pack. ]

Um... where?

[To that, there is a good show of holding her finger in front of her mouth.] It's a SEEEEECRET...!

It's the next venue, I'm not spoiling the surprise!

[...There is an excited pause, however.] ...It's going to be really fun though..~!

Oh...!

[ She looks around. ] So... do we have to move all of the tents and everything?

Oh! Definitely not! [She's rather proud of that.]

The carnival moves on its own!

We get vacation breaks though, so you still get to see what the world we visit looks like...the carnival is just like its own little one, that's all!

[ Well. That's something to wrap her head around. She looks up at the strange sky. Definitely explains a thing or two, at least. ]

More magic... [ She shakes her head. Another thing to get used to. ]

I don't want to keep you!

You won't keep me, don't worry! [She laughs, smiling.] Roll call isn't for another half hour, I just like to make sure I'm REALLY early..! [she shouts, pumping a fist for emphasis.]

...That way I don't get splatted with eyeballs...

[ She giggles and nods. ] You should be more careful of flying eyes, I think.
