What: The carnival arrives at a new location and has its first performance week with the new cast, as outlined here. This is a general mingling log for convenience purposes, but players are welcome to make as many other logs for this purpose as desired.
Warnings: Could be a lot of things, around these parts.

THE REALM OF DREAMS↴ As the carnival arrives at its first stop since its recruitment phase, and prepares to put its new band of workers to the test. In the meantime, there is a whole new world of dreams and nightmares to be explored, and threats to be faced on carnival turf. As of S1:D11, the carnival will be opening its doors to the creatures within, and the carnival will be open daily from noon to midnight, though the connection to the realm will be constant. This is an all purpose mingle log for the full duration of the stay, so please mark top levels with some estimate of what days they'll be occurring on. Please bring any mod questions to the original plotting post. |

[This part of the dream world held an immense forest of enormous lush greenery, filled with the calls of strange birds and the slithering of cool scales through the trees. The peace was interrupted, however, by the flash of steel cutting through the leaves of a giant bromeliad. ]
Stop! Thiiiief!
[Several paces ahead of Brook and his swordcane leapt a giant, weasel-like creature, wearing a luchador mask and clutching a dreamcatcher to its furred breast. It chittered mockingly at him as he struggled his way through the forest.]

Thriller, Thriller Night (Anywhen from D11-18);
[The scene was a quiet graveyard; an eerie castle rose up in the distance and mist seemed to pour up from the ground. Here in the dark, Brook reached for a lone torch propped up by the graveyard gate. His bones were rattling violently.]
Wh-wh-what's this? Is someone out there?
[A sharp crack in the distance elicited a little shriek from him.]

Papyrus ☠ Undertale
[By the second week of the new season, with all these fresh faces around, the residents of the supervisors' grove have had a chance to witness a daily ritual.
Every morning a skeleton jogs over from the backyard, letter in hand, and circles around trailer #S3. He checks it out for something, clucking disapproving and disappointed sounds too loudly to really be called under his breath, before leaving the letter in the mailbox. Then he heads home.
By the time the carnival reaches the Realm of Dreams, he's added a step to this ritual: making sure that there's a dreamcatcher in at least two windows of the trailer. If, any morning, he sees there's fewer than that, he'll be taking a couple minutes to hang up the spares that he just happened to have with him. And he'll do a circuit of the rest of the trailers while he's at it, making sure they all have at least one. Nobody's told him he's not allowed to do that. And apparently dreamcatchers are as much a part of the aesthetic here as snow and spikes were in Snowdin.]
☠ Friendly Neighborhood Wake-up Call (D8 - D18) ☠
[Your character has made the mistake of laying down in the open with their eyes (or equivalent) closed. Or maybe they're just sitting, thinking something over and looking a little too restful while doing it. Either way, they're not moving and active, and that means they're asleep or close enough to it.]
Hey!
[A pale figure glares at them, dangling a dreamcatcher from his bony hand. His face is a grim visage of human death, scowling and pounding a foot against the ground in his anger.
Or he's a goof who's stomping childishly and just happens to be a skeleton. There's more than enough skeletons working here that they're not exactly a novelty anymore.]

Joker - Kuroshitsuji
Gooood mornin'. Since the majority of ya are new ta the carnival, I thought ya should know that it looks like we've arrived in the new location! Now, I know the Ringmaster has given everyone a dreamcatcher and trust me when I tell ya that ya need ta keep one nearby if yer sleepin'. If ya don't and somethin' happens, the Ringmaster won't be the only one not happy, trust me.
Also, new location means we got less than a week until yer first performances! That means I won't have any of ya slackin' off. I expect a full eight hours of practice out of every one of ya new faces- Doctor, Amethyst, ya can do however much ya can squeeze in between yer other jobs. Junko, just try not ta set the Carnival on fire.
Of course... Yer all gonna be curious. Can't fault ya that. Soooooo, if ya can get four hours done in the mornin', I'll let ya have a nip out ta explore. Just don't take too long, do the rest of yer practicin' when ya come back, and be careful.

[Towards the afternoon, once he's sure that all his performer have been good boys and girls, Joker can be found hanging around by the front, watching the shifting strangeness of the Dream Realm with idle curiosity.]

[ Sensible though he is, Childermass is still a magician and anything as fascinating at not only a different world, but a world of dreams, is going to draw him out through the front gates of the carnival, danger be damned. So when he isn't going over the steps of his own act a few more times, he's exploring.
One day, he can be found in a drastically foreign cityscape, one with blindingly lit skyscrapers that reach up, far out of sight, into a purple sky. Objects zip through the sky, forming long lines in very particular patterns, like they're all following the same set route, but Childermass wouldn't be able to tell you what they were, nor are any of the shadowy beings flitting around through the streets going to stop and tell you. Whatever they are, they're too tall to be human, though they're roughly similar in shape. He's trailing after the actual dreamer in this area, though never close enough to interact...
Another day, he'll be checking out an area that's decided to be an endless sea at sunset, having shifted into that as he strolled not even that far from the gates. The fun part, he's found, is he isn't even sinking into it. He's standing on the surface as though it's solid, in spite of the currents shifting the water below him into constant motion. He's actually paused here long enough to light his pipe and enjoy the view for a bit.
And yet another, he'll be seated on a tree that's decided to grow in sideways, more like a log, only without being dead. Here, he's trying to get down a few forms of a lingering phantasm, with very rough sketches in his little memo book. None of them are too detailed, since the creatures tend to add new parts or change or sometimes even vanish in a blink. This one is apparently some kind of giant tree frog with huge dragonfly wings. ]
no sleeping [during performance week]
[ Meanwhile, sleeping isn't exactly an issue for Childermass. He can stay away for a reasonably long time (within human standards, anyway) and he isn't going to ignore the warning about dreamcatchers and nightmares. However, he is still only human and his latest attempt to exist on as little sleep as possible is showing. Right now, he's staked out at the cookhouse with a cup of coffee one very early morning, before dawn even, to pad out some of his earlier notes. But the coffee has long since gone cold and he has begun to doze off, leaning into the hand he'd been propping his head up with before, just for a minute...
Not that it's too much to worry about. The cookhouse, thankfully, does sport a few dreamcatchers of its own. Still, not the best spot to take a nap. ]
practice makes perfect [before performance week, for Lauren]
A little more menace this time, if you will. The audience needs to think there's actual danger to this.
[ Which isn't said cruelly at all, just matter-of-fact. He is, as ever, very business-like.
While it took a little plotting, eventually Childermass settled on a fair enough way of wrapping up his act. Make a free-roaming creature disappear before it could get him. Of course, doing that with an actual free-roaming and dangerous creature seemed like a terrible idea, hence why he's since recruited Lauren. It's much easier to work with an animal when that animal is actually a druid in disguise. In preparation, he's since gone back to get a certain book, specifically to help describe what a hippogriff is, although he had reluctantly returned it once Lauren had the idea of it.
Now it was practice time, with Childermass working out the timing on the vanishing spell to certain steps. The initial plan is for him to set up the crowd, let the "hippogriff" out of its cage, and then they would go back and forth with him supposedly warding off the angry creature with a big red cape (kind of like a bull fighter) until it takes a leap at him. The cape itself is necessary to obscure Lauren with after that, misdirection to go hand-in-hand with the actual spell, and so on, and so on.
Of course, no act is without a few problems...
They're about to start round who even knows of trying this out. Let's see how it goes this time. ]

[Guess who has Papyrus as a roommate? Guess who also, while probably not needing to sleep, enjoys luxurious naps as part of his hedonistic lifestyle? In various little nooks and crannies of the carnival, you may stumble upon stout fellow in Colonial era clothes curled up and snoozing. As of late, he's found himself attracted to small areas he can squeeze himself into. Is he impeding your work? Or just creeping you out? He mutters happily in his sleep, either way.]

[The lack of pleasurable naps is only one trouble that is currently effecting the vampire's current life. The other... is hunger.
He'd been advised to simply feed from patrons. While some might be capable of just randomly pulling a person from a group like a weak gazelle from a herd, Gottlieb considered himself a gentleman. A gentleman would not do such a rude thing!
That is why he, currently in full rainbowy clown regalia, is stopping folks at random.]

Yuugi Mutou | ota
[Trailer #26 has turned into something of an impromptu not!sleepover. It's not the cushiest trailer, but there's enough room for at least its occupants and one or two guests, whoever it might be that night. Yuugi is on his fifth cup of coffee, cradled towards his chest and feet up on the seat next to the bench. He holds two cards in hand, half a deck of cards on the other side of the table, and seems to be rolling over strategies as he cuts and shuffles the remaining half, taking a sip of his drink every now and then.
His dream catcher hangs above his bed, the bottom bunk, and at the moment the only thing between him and imminent sleep seems to be the fact that he is, actually, quite enjoying himself. He giggles, then places a card face down, smiling sweetly.]

MEMORY ALL ALONE IN THE MOONLIGHT (D10-D18)
[The shifting of the landscape out beyond makes him think of Atem's memories, how that whole world operated, the way they saw what Atem remembered and everything. It actually sort of makes Yuugi sick in his stomach to remember, even with how frequent he watches the dreamscape beyond the front gates. Sometimes he's draped over the counter of one of the games in the Gamer's Circle, propped up on his elbows and looking, for all that he tries to concentrate on his job.
For now, he draws back and sighs, propping an elbow on a hand and picking up his coffee, taking a sip as he commiserates the player's loss.]
We can't all be great gamers, but good try! Maybe something different would work better for you?
[He's supposed to not be that helpful, he knows, but he can't help the shrug. Sometimes it was just like that.]

Tamaki ota
[Since arriving at the carnival, Tamaki has been trying to train to fit his new role. It's pretty different, not having to sing or dance, but he's used to learning choreography quickly at least, even if this choreography is in the air. His routine is pretty simple and not really meant to be a showstopper or anything (he's a beginner at the aerial silks, after all), but he is starting to pick up on how to move. He's also practicing his floor tricks; he already knew how to do things like backflips and walk on his hands, but he's been learning even more tumbles in the short time he's been in the carnival.
He can be found in the big top rehearsing often through the two days before the carnival opens, trying to stay active so he doesn't fall asleep too much. He and Mitsuki have a dreamcatcher in their trailer, but he still worries about what would happen if he falls asleep without it.]
Naptime (sometime after D10)
[Of course, not everyone can keep up not sleeping forever, and eventually, Tamaki succumbs to his own exhaustion. Luckily he was near a dreamcatcher when this happened (perhaps moved there by a friendly hand), so only small phantasms are summoned from his dream.
Most of them look like the King's Pudding mascot, bouncing around him happily. Sometimes, there are strange clover charms that join the mix, but while they might look harmless, they only appear when Tamaki's sleep seems to turn troubled.
Well, it's fine as long as he's by the dreamcatcher, right?]

Spyro | OTA
Okay, so on paper, being a bouncer had sounded like a really cool job; a perfect fit for a tough guy like him, kicking troublemakers out of the carnival.
Turns out that in practice? The job involves a lot more sitting around in one place while absolutely nothing happens than a fidgety young dragon like Spyro can stomach. He's on duty now, posted outside the big top in the late afternoon, trying to keep unauthorized individuals out while the performance team sets everything up for tonight's show. Rather than sitting alert and at attention, though, he's sprawled out atop a crate, sullenly picking at a splintering edge and sulking.
"Man, bouncing is the worst," he complains out loud to his dragonfly partner. "Why are we stuck on snooze patrol in here, when there's a whole entire dream world to explore out there!"
Spryo sits up a little and glances around once, twice, before leaning in to mutter conspiratorially to Sparx: "What do you think pal? Think anyone would notice if we played hooky for a bit?"
Well? DO you notice?
NIGHTMARE FIGHT
Periodically throughout the duration of the Carnival's connection to the the Realm of Dreams, those who head out to explore the world beyond may come across a peculiar scene. Maybe you sense a Nightmare nearby, or you stumble accidentally into an encounter with one of the beasts. Either way, watch close enough or wait long enough, and time is sure to reveal to you the unusual sight of a small purple dragon harassing a horrific dream monster that is beyond several times his own size. What's more, shockingly, the dragon seems to be winning. Those who choose to simply watch the battle will observe that he can run circles around the great brutes, charging to and fro with his horns down and occasionally striking back with a burst of searing flame that rarely fails to set the creatures howling.
Fighting baddies is what Spyro does best, and he's bound to be spending the majority of his free time out causing mayhem for the Nightmares. Feel free to hang out and watch him fight, or offer backup, or even assume that he interrupts your own hunt by providing some un-requested fire support. This one's a free-for-all combat prompt.

[It's so fragrant, here. Maybe it's only fragrant to Alois specifically; this place isn't real, and Alois is drawing from memory as he beds down amidst the flowers. But maybe everybody can smell it—a hundred million bluebells, at least, just this vast and shimmering stretch of nothing but dew-covered flowers.
Alois isn't certain how this dream world works, so he doesn't realize that his heart is mingling with a kindred spirit's: someone else out in the great beyond is dreaming about bluebells, just like he does. But instead of ruminating on this possibility, Alois is making the most of the setting. His boots are off, flung aside haphazardly in the flowers. His stockings, too, have been cast off and thrown in a random direction; the stockings, today a soft off-white, are dotted with dew. Alois is bare-legged and a little damp. He's lying in the bluebells, arms thrown out on either side of him, toes curled. His hair is mussed; his cheeks are flushed; bits of grass are clinging to his wet legs. He stares at the bizarre, dream-like sky, its fathoms of imagination, with wide blue eyes, and he breathes quickly, chest rising and falling too fast for a time of rest. He must have been running around, frolicking in his boyhood, but for now he is calm, momentarily at peace, as he gulps in the scent of all these bluebells.]
MAKING MY WAY DOWNTOWN... (D8-D10)
[This particular dreamscape is much less wonderful than the bluebells, and now Alois understands why he'd been told to be careful in his explorations. He doesn't regret it, though. To regret his actions would mean they were wrong in the first place, and he treasures acts of rebellion too much to admit that he shouldn't have done them. So it's fine. It's fine to be caught in the heart of this bizarre city, even though it doesn't feel fine, because Alois has never been alone in bustling crowds and pea-soup smog.
That is to say, he's been to London, but his butler had always accompanied him. And for the most part, they never went far from home; birds in golden cages, a life like that; Alois had stayed holed up in his manor for years. So this city is a sensory overload even before you factor in the dreamscape—he's jostled by bunches of people but has grown too dazed to keep shouting at them, and it's easy to trip over cracks in the sidewalk. The roads aren't safe. This isn't because of your average hansom cab, or even because of the automobiles he won't live to see, but instead because of the gigantic animals people are riding through the streets. A businessman crosses an intersection atop a massive frog. Two tittering squirrels, larger than real life horses, are causing a traffic jam.
But the crowds, more than the people, are what cause the start of Alois' panic. A strict-looking woman shoulders past him and pushes him into a large man walking two dogs. Alois skitters back, too choked up to cuss, and ends up running into a different man, this one tall and carrying a briefcase. Alois sucks in a breath and tries to back away again, only to be pressed into a varied group of lawyers.
This is way too many people, and Alois is starting to breathe kind of oddly.]
sleep is for the WEAK (D11-D18)
[Alois may privately (mostly privately...) hate the Ringmaster, but he takes her advice quite seriously; in general, he defers to her, if only for her fey authority. So when she suggests that none of them sleep... well, he's trying a little too hard to commit to that, as human as he still is.
At various times before the carnival opens (2am, 5am, 9am, and so on), Alois can be found trying his damnedest to wake himself up from the naps he so desperately wants. He might be dumping freezing water on himself during the wee hours, or he might be running laps while looking like he's going to fall asleep on his feet. (By the way, how does he run in heels?!) Whatever way in which he tries to jolt himself awake, he's a bit frantic about it, but very determined. He scrubs at his eyes and smacks both his cheeks.
Of course, a few hours of sleep broken up between the night day isn't enough for a growing teenage boy, so his moodiness might be worse than usual...]

[Despite the exhaustion, Alois is still doing his work. That is, he's lying his ass off to every patron who comes near.
Honestly he enjoys it a little too much; the Ringmaster has him pegged a little too well. One patron in particular seems to completely delight Alois with their perceived stupidity: as the patron tries their hand at one of the carnival games, Alois peeks out from behind a stall, watching the fruits of his labor flourish, and then absolutely loses it laughing, thudding hard against the side of the stall and cradling his stomach. He laughs and laughs, maybe a little too hard, and it has a hectic quality to it.]

[On the day of departure, Carly has a small back packed and ready. Snacks have been set inside-a lot of them, in fact-and once it's safely buckled around her shoulders, she gives her wings a test stretch and flap or two before nodding to herself.

[The dreamland is an intoxicating place in a number of ways, and despite all warnings it is hard to resist floating around through it. [Nightmares.
Carly swallows when she encounters one herself, great and dripping black. It's quite the nasty sight, but she's determined not to stand down, even pulling out her duel disk for this one.] ARISE, ASLLA PISCU..! [she shouts, bringing forward the inky black vessel of the god she shares her body with, directing it against the nightmare with a nod. It's by no means an easy fight-certainly, the clash is going to last for a bit, with Carly largely focusing on just holding the card to the disk while getting some strange violet flames ready.
To anyone unfamiliar with the card however, the sight could look a little different. Almost like...two nightmares, even.

SANS | OTA | D11 - D18
During the day, Sans is at his laziest, it seems. He only arrives in public areas in the late morning, and usually ends up getting lunch only a half hour to an hour after appearing, having apparently already worked up an appetite. He does his usual throughout the afternoon - occasionally checking in on his security team, sitting around with his eyes closed, and sometimes surprising unruly guests with a visit. If it looks like his patrol has it under control, he'll leave it alone. He doesn't offer help where it's not needed.
By the evening, he is more scarce. He'll be there to give everyone their shifts for the evening, the 6PM to midnight one, and then will mostly wander off on his own. By the latter half of the night, you barely see him at all. He claims that he works the night shift, mostly, but given his reputation one might guess that he spends most of the "night shift" sleeping.
You'll still see him around, though, sometimes with his watch dogs and sometimes not. Frequently, he'll show up when you least expect it, or just as you're starting to do something that might be a little bit against the rules.
⇨ RIDING DIRTY ETC (SKELETON WEREWOLF TIME)
And then, from around 10PM onward, Sans typically disappears all together. The security team is usually allowed to pack things up around 12:30 unless they've been given the dreaded night shift, but Sans usually isn't physically present for those. He could be doing anything, really, and the assumptions made are probably not generous.
If you're out in the woods at night, though, or near the borders of the carnival, you might see something huge shift through the trees, moving on four legs and made of something white like bone and faintly glowing. Long spikes line its back and a long, spine-like tail snakes behind it, the whole form surprisingly quiet despite its size.
If you're quiet it won't pay much attention, but if it does, it will size you up as a potential threat. Who knows what a giant skeleton dog finds threatening?
WEREWOLF TIME
Especially here. When most people head off to party or sleep shortly after the last of the guests depart, janitor Papyrus starts cleaning up after the show. Not that he's alone in this task! Those spooky ominous cinder ghost people also clean up.
It's a bit of a mystery how people who look so smokey don't leave soot everywhere. He'll probably ask about it, one of these days.
After the last couple nights of cleaning after performances, he's confident in the team's ability to get the job done. So much so that, tonight, he expands the area he's cleaning to include the trees ringing the carnival. Dream people might still wander off the beaten track and litter. He did, and at least one other person did, his first day here. And all that is certainly not an excuse to stretch his legs and take a walk where nobody can see him drop his smile for a bit.
Papyrus walks through the woods, humming a jaunty tune and poking at leaves. His radio is with him, easily accessible if anything should go awry. And if he catches a flash of a skeleton dog jogging through the trees, he thinks nothing of it; after all, he's already met a couple of them. This is clearly just one more.]

Peridot can have kind of a grating presence to some people on a good day, but you know when you really don't want to deal with her? When you haven't been sleeping because you're too worried about getting heckled by phantasms and nightmares.
It doesn't really help that the gem has no real appreciation for the importance of sleep, or any understanding of what a lack of it can do to a person's demeanor. That's why she completely fails to tone it down for the entire duration of the Carnival's stay in this realm, talking loudly and zipping about her business like the world's most insufferable morning person.
Friends and acquaintances who are particularly visibly cranky and exhausted are going to find themselves on the receiving end of some ill-timed deadpan ribbing:
"Sheesh, you look like a total mess. Who up and scuffed your facets?"

[So once Gilgamesh caught wind of their next destination, he found himself increasingly curious, until he could no longer stand it: he had to visit as soon as the proverbial doors were flung open. Unlike many others, Gilgamesh was not bothered by the strangeness of the dream; succumbing to fae magic hardly affected his will, so strong that it could block out anything that was really and truly false. Simply put, his ego was too great to be jarred by even the mere concept of fantasy or delusion—ironic given how many he tended to harbor. He knew who, what, and where he was at all times, and that was that.
...it doesn't make the following imagery any less bizarre, however. Gilgamesh has curled up in a grassy field, surrounded by magical animals of every shape and size, enjoying a cup of tea. He looks, perhaps unintentionally, rather like a fantasy princess, as the animals in question are fawning him as if under some sort of spell. And maybe they are.
Gilgamesh, for his part, appears absolutely relaxed. This may be a good time to approach him without fear of his usual snappishness.]

[And then the nightmares came.
At first, Gilgamesh ignored them entirely. But eventually they grew so rampant and insistent he was forced to confront them, and of course any confrontation involving Gilgamesh tended to get awfully nasty awfully fast. What started as a disagreement over biscuits turned into beasts gone berserk, as the nightmares began to chase Gilgamesh across the realm.
Actually, that's not quite true. It was more like Gilgamesh was chasing them.]
Run, cowards! I shall put you in your graves, where you belong!
[Chasing on the back of a shadowy horse, complete with lance. Was it his lance, or just another figment of imagination? It's hard to say, but if he runs into you, he may very well try to recruit you to his cause. Though his leadership may be questionable, surely it wouldn't be a bad thing to help out... for the good of the realm. And maybe some extra coin.]

[This was stupid. This was beyond stupid.
This was stupid on levels he couldn't even begin to describe, but orders were orders, and astreasurer it was his official duty to make sure the dreamcatchers were distributed evenly throughout their numbers to ensure nobody's bad dreams caused a bad time for everyone else. If it were up to him he'd just let them suffer, but given the noose around his neck was a bit tighter than the average worker's, he had no room to complain. Even if he wanted to complain. Badly.
So if you happen to be dozing in a place where you shouldn't be on carnival grounds, Gilgamesh will be paying you a visit to hang a dreamcatcher above your head (and he may have even found a way into your trailer, depending). It almost seems considerate until he takes it a step further and decides to bonk you with it, just for good measure.

[To be frank, when he decided to cure his boredom by exploring the dreamworld, Silver had been hoping for something a little more exciting than what he'd stumbled upon.
He sat at a desk with his head cradled in one palm, surrounded by what were probably too many other desks for a normal classroom. Some of the desks contained other fairly normal looking high schoolers, some contained random masses of shimmering gas, and at least one contained a dog. Just a dog.
Finding the actual dreamer wasn't very hard - she stood in front of the classroom, looking incredibly confused and muttering something about being sure she'd already graduated a decade ago. At the same time she seems to also be sure she's in the wrong class at the wrong time, and isn't wearing the correct uniform.
At any rate, Silver wasn't going to interfere, as annoyed as he was at ending up in such an insipid dream. He'd never even been in high school. It was like getting to watch a movie but it's a genre you hate, and he's kind of hoping she'll wake up soon so he can view something more interesting.]
D11-D18 Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
[Silver's work as a Roustabout means he doesn't have to interact very often with the actual patrons, and he's more than a little fine with that. Being social with his fellow carnival workers is taxing enough without taking into account the varying personalities that can show up during show time.
Usually he'll be found doing any odd jobs that need to be done around the carnival. Usually at least one of his Pokemon is accompanying him, most commonly Crobat as Sneasel prefers to snoop around and see what trouble it can get into. If it's a job that needs a bit more muscle, he does have Feralgatr, but considering the teen has a chip on his shoulder about doing things himself he tries not to use the water Pokemon very often.
Maybe you've called him to do some grunt work while others are busy, or maybe you come across him on his way to one job or another. He tends to keep himself very busy during work hours.]

Chiaki | Danganronpa
In the days before the carnival opens, Chiaki's at the Gamer's Circle nearly 24/7, running around testing all the machines, stocking the prizes, and occasionally crawling underneath one of the machines to fix something. Some of it's a bit beyond her, but she's learning fast -- things like, don't jiggle the equipment in the wrong place if you don't want it to start spewing colored smoke.
The biggest challenge is really her height, which is something she hadn't thought would be a problem, but suddenly everything seems just a little bit out of her reach -- especially the prizes.
"Hey... could you get that one for me? I need to check it."

In the middle of the night, Chiaki wakes up screaming, and covered in a cold sweat. She hasn't slept great since arriving, but this week everything seems worse. The nightmares are more intense.
Whether or not she's woken her roommate up, she'll stumble out of bed and pad down to the mess hall for some coffee, jumping at shadows and peering around corners, grateful for the heightened hearing her new ears give her.

"Welcome to the Gamer's Circle..." It's hard for Chiaki to say those things without a yawn. She's dutifully stowed away her handheld console, but as the weeks go on it's harder and harder to muster up the energy to excite patrons. "Home of the Ultimate Games for Ultimate Gamers..."
The farther in to the week you visit, the more modified the games will be. Maybe the basketball hoop has a second ring hung above it and a third below, for extra challenge. Maybe the targets on the water-gun challenge are popping up and down just a bit faster.

Kerubim Crepin | Dofus: The Treasures of Kerubim
No one could say Kerubim wasn't keeping busy. With the unusual nature of the new world, he had been taking his job on patrol particularly seriously, keeping an eye out for anything strange. Which was more difficult when everything was slightly off. That said, the Nightmares stood out like a sore thumb, and fighting monsters was nothing new for a seasoned adventurer from the World of Twelve.
He was currently engaged with a rather large and nebulous one that kept shifting into various animalistic forms. He had his sword held out in front of him and was circling for an opening. The beast was keeping up with him, snapping at him with sharp fangs. Or was it a beak. Who knew. Getting impatient, Kerubim feinted, leaping forward slightly and darting back quickly. The beast took the bait, jumping toward him. Seeing the opening, Kerubim rolled underneath it, slashing with his sword. The dream creature dispersed with a satisfying cry, and Kerubim stood to his feet.
"And there's one more down," he said dismissively, sheathing his sword and brushing the dust from his paws, already looking around for the next one.
II. Performance Prep (S1:D12)
Kerubim had been working his other job pretty much full time since they arrived in the realm of dreams. Those nightmares weren't going to fight themselves. The downside was that by now he was exhausted and had barely had time to throw an act together for the first performances. It had been a bit of a scramble, but he was finally getting the final pieces together, and was doing a final check of his wardrobe. Staring into the small mirror he had grabbed, though, he wasn't sure what to do about the pink spot that had appeared where his brown fur was. He yawned, vigorously rubbing his eye with the heel of his paw. He stopped and squinted at his reflection, but the bright pink spot around his eye was still visible. Hardly an intimidating look, and he had to make a good impression with his first performance. If we was going to do this job, he was going to do it right.
Luckily, he'd already grabbed a mask from the wardrobe department. At the time he hadn't decided if he would use it yet, but now he was glad he had. If only he could find it amongst all the other stuff backstage. He started scrambling to find out, tossing around pieces of fabric and other props

The last few nights have been fitful, to say the least. Coming out burn-free and paler than he'd been in years was hardly worth complaining about in comparison to tusks or anything else people had around here. It just meant he definitely couldn't avoid talking to Steven about what happened, and made for a lot of very uncomfortable concerns to swirl around his head for a good day or two.
It's caught up with him; he's gone pale from more than the magic paste. Despite the dreamcatcher hanging dutifully from his belt, a handful of spindly and dark nightmares pace around Greg's sleeping body, hissing from unseen mouths.

"Heh." Sans lifts a clawed food, and steps down hard on one of the smaller nightmares, crushing it beneath his toes, sending a few of the others leaping back and hissing. These ones can't hurt him - it's all a show.

The Search For Susan (OTA)
1. He needs help. He cannot do this on his own. He's asking anyone and everyone for help. It's best for people to search individually or in small groups at first he thinks. If you find anything from the half-elf radio in.
This option is for those who want to thread out their search with a partner or encounter the nightmare possessed Susan in some capacity.
2. Susan isn't Susan, that much is clear. Lauren's heard the news. People have seen his brother and been attacked by him. Lauren knows Susan and he knows his brother wouldn't act like that. Whatever is inside his brother right now doesn't want to come back, and it will harm the people who try and make it return it's host. The nightmare's powers are significant, but surely it can't take down all of them. Right?
This option is for the "final" battle. Lauren will tell anyone who offers to come that his brother has strong offensive magic, and that the thing in control of him now has that too. There is a real possibility that the people who come with Lauren to fight will be seriously injured or even die. Don't come unless you're ready to accept that possibility. The fight will be even harder because they want to catch Susan alive.
