What: The carnival enjoys a few days in Wismuth, a coastal city on this planet's version of the American east. However, there are a few things very unique about this version of the planet...

Upon arriving, things in Wismuth will seem pretty peaceful. It's a massive city, with no shortage of things going on, but things like violent crime and homelessness are at an all time low. You can wander the streets without much scrutiny, presumed to just be tourists, and most people here come across as helpful and friendly.

► VIBRANCY: The main thing that sets this planet apart is its vibrancy - AKA, the raw creative energy its filled with, flowing from its status as a Pillar of Creation. There is no literal pillar, but Wismuth and its planet is a place where Creation's energy comes through strongest. As a result, everything here feels somehow more real, more intense in a way that's hard to put a finger on. Life is abundant, and its bleeds through in every sensation.

► ATTRACTIONS: There are plenty of things to see while going around the city. First and foremost, there is a lovely beach area bordering the ocean, and a number of tourist aimed attractions built around it. There are giant malls, movie theaters, live stage performances, museums and all kinds of other points of cultural interest. Anything you can do in a big city you can do here, but better.

► ALLOWANCES: The Ringmaster will be giving everyone a reasonable amount of local currency for a few days on the town. You can't make any massive acquisitions with it, but it's more than enough to eat out, see some shows, go to the beach, and whatever you like. You can feel free to pick up some casual supplies, like mundane clothing and souvenirs. There will be more given out later, after the performance week.

► PERFORMANCE: Performance week is starting early this time, after only a couple days of exploration. When the carnival has already been on vacation for a month, the Ringmaster figures they may as well get right to it, and then do more touring afterwards. Members of the local populace will find themselves in the carnival once performances begin, dazzled by the other worldly sights. Magic doesn't seem to exist here, despite the fact that it will flow easier for people bringing it from other worlds.

[Yuya practically bounces into the city. Warm and coastal is way more his territory, and with a short break period he wants to get in as much fun as possible before he goes to work bringing enjoyment to others.]

Wow... [He skids to a stop beside Gongenzaka, taking the scene in. It's so... bright, and vibrant, and clear.

He looks at Marishi, then turns up to Gon with a grin.] It's really amazing, right?

[He shifts a little on his feet, antsy to explore.]

[It's as if someone put colour drops on everything, ramped up the hue/saturation, and so on, so on. Marishi purrs, and Gongenzaka nods.] Aaah! It is nice to be in a 'typical' city, without any consequence, as well... ...it feels more as if things have returned to their typical pattern for the Carnival, in this way....

[Yuya hasn't even picked up on the heightened emotions, but he does notice how colorful everything and everyone is. His gaze settles on everything a second longer, but he's quickly distracted from one sight to the next.

He chuckles, more to himself.] I thought the danger was the typical pattern... [But it's not something to dwell on now. Yuya pushes his fist forward.] Let's go look around!

[He doesn't wait long before he's charging forward.]

Hmm! Far from it! [He huffs, practically insulted.] Even with what time I, the man Gongenzaka, spent before my 'break', this was apparent..! And-

A-AAUAH-!

Mmhahahhaha~! Better catch up~ [Marishi laughs, watching as Yuuya bolts ahead. The two themselves are quick to follow, naturally.]

W-Wait, Yuuya..!!!

['Break' is a gentle way to put 'fucking died'.

At least Yuya's still left his skates in his trailer at this point, so he can't get too much ahead of Gongenzaka. But he does laugh, turning his head to look for Gon until he catches up.] Come on! I want to see as much as possible before the carnival opens up.

[The city just accentuates his excitement, ands he's already looking around for something interesting--some sort of street performer, or shop, or... a cafe themed after aliens.]

[Listen, he just doesn't want to bring the mood down ok..!! Regardless, catching up is a breeze when one remembers there's still horse and bear legs under that glamor...it doesn't take long before the sound of muffled hoof-beats clouded by feet comes through.] Auh-!

We are to have time after the performances as well, you know..! [he insists, though he does little else to even try to pull his friend back. What's the harm after all? It's the big city, a modern city, and they're properly thinking this time around, so-

...Uh.]

Auh.... An...Alien cafe..?

[Come on Gon, Maiami probably had weirder-]

[Yuya looks up at it--it's on the second floor of a building, with metal stairs leading up and a glass-floor balcony and space decals around the railing.]

It's... probably not really aliens? [The decor is very standard green-man alien and U.F.O., but also they don't know for sure that aliens aren't really like that.]

But we could still get something to eat while we walk around. You brought the money the Ringmaster gave you, right?

MNG- I- I, the man Gongenzaka, didn't think they would be..!! [He protests, as much as the hindsight thought of but are they?? comes to mind. This place, man-

Regardless, he peers around at the LGM theming and nods.] Aauh, naturally! Actually, most often while travelling, I, the man Gongenzaka, find myself with excess...

[Maybe he should put more effort into spending the allowance...]

[That doesn't surprise Yuya at all.] So there's no need to budget it, right? Come on.

[He gestures for Gongenzaka to follow before bounding up the stairs. The front of the shop has some advertisement for a green, mint flavored blended drink. The food is similarly decorated in a way that pushes looking edible, but the flavors are mostly normal.

Mostly.]

Auhh...! W-Well, that isn't what I s- [Ahhhh it's too late. Well, up they go then, Gongenzaka scratching at his head as he looks over the options.]

...Hmnn.... ...as expected, there seems to be a number of...'Green' flavors...

....perhaps some Matcha then... [Well at least he might order something now.]

[Yuya, meanwhile, is ordering the signature mint drink, that has too many sprinkles on the whipped cream, peering at the food with only passive interest.

Ordering takes a moment, as he fumbles to match the currency he was given with the price, and there's a little good-hearted back and forth with the barista to figure it out. It leaves Yuya laughing and dropping his change in the tip jar.

With that he steps back, circling around to lean against the table where the drinks are supposed to exit. They won't take long, at least.]

[Annnnnd if Yuuya was taking any bets...yep, Gongenzaka is soon enough coming to the table to wait with Yuuya for a matcha-flavored drink. PREDICTABLE!] Saah, I, the man Gongenzaka, have made my order now...

...Shall we have food elsewhere, however? [He caught that passive interest after all.]

Let's get food later. [And wire themselves up on sugar and caffeine now.] I didn't have a lot of time to see Alola, and Greysol was... old?

[Not bad, but a couple centuries behind what he was used to. He glances down to Marishi.]

Nice shirt, by the way. But isn't it kind of big on you? [As if anyone but he and Gongenzaka can even see her right now thanks to the glamour. That shirt definitely looks Gon-sized, though.]

Hmm! Indeed-Greysol was more a location to visit occasionally, it feels...somehow, here, it feels far more lively... [That whole Pillar of Creation proximity does wonders for the atmosphere, truly. As for Marishi...she beams, purring rather smugly.]

It is, isn't it~ He refused to wear it, so I've claimed it for myself~! [She cheers, Gongenzaka muttering something about poor jokes under his breath.]

Refused? [Yuya's distracted only a moment as his drink is slid across the counter, and he grabs it immediately. He rubs his chin as he regards Marishi's 'The Man, The Myth, The Legend' shirt.]

Oh, I get it. [He smiles wryly, taking a sip of his drink. It's because of his speaking quirk, isn't it?] Well, as long as you like it, it's fine.

Indeed~ [Marishi is Still Purring, and Gongenzaka merely huffs.]

Mnnhhh...It does not reflect upon myself, you should know..!!

Oh no, of course not~

Yeah, sure. [He raises a brow.] Maybe it's too arrogant but it was a gift, wasn't it? So you like that someone thought about you to give it to you.

[Absently, he reaches over to try and feel the collar of the shirt, unconcerned about being close with Marishi.] Is it comfortable?

[Right on the nose-Marishi naturally answers where Gongenzaka is still too (sadly) proud, with a simple nod.]

Oh? [Yuya crouches down to Marishi's level and leans over, conspiratorially.] Now you have to tell me what the other shirt is. Obviously I'm never going to see Gongenzaka wear it!

[Come on, Marishi, give him the details.]

[Marishi's grin could destroy mountains.] Ohhh~ I'll tell you exactly what it says~

Imagine a big 'warning', like for Hazardous things...~ Except this one says 'CAUTION', [She begins, waving a paw dramatically.] Logic prohibited-Device is powered by PURE MANLY ENERGY..!!! ..PFHFHFHHHHHHH..! [It's pretty clear she's barely containing herself over this.]

[Yuya rolls his eyes up, absently sipping his drink as Marishi builds up the suspense--and then he chokes on it in a wave of giggling, helped along be Marishi's apparent humor about it. He bites his lip, looking up at Gon.]

... It doesn't actually make any sense, does it? [Non-sequitur humor, usually not Gongenzaka's thing. Which is what makes it amusing, because for all his manliness Gongenzaka has a steadier head on his shoulders than Yuya.] I guess that's a prominent feature...

[To get two shirts about being the man.]

[Gongenzaka, perhaps, looks as though he might want to die right now. Just a little. Maybe he already has, inside.] O-Of course it doesn't..!! We even spoke extensively while at the manor..! And the book we received was also...

So it wasn't the BEST, that's no reason to be so sore..! We traded it at that lovely 'swap' she made anyway, use your head, Noboru...

Mnnhhh.... [Very Prominent.]

[Now he's curious what the book was about, but he's probably ruffled Gon enough.]

Well, you can't really complain too much about a gift. [He moves to stand, looking Gongenzaka's gaze-- although he half expects the actual answer to come from Marishi.] What's it bothering you so much about?

Not good, [He mutters, frowning.] ...Very...rigid, with a weak plot-

You could say it was 'committee' written, I suppose-something that would be mass produced from a team instead of any author. Truthfully Noboru, I doubt she knew it was going to be that unfortunate a read...

[Which, in Daemon Speak, means that Gongenzaka is having a bit of internal struggle about trying not to take the not so challenging storybook to heart when it came with.........That T-shirt.]

[It takes Yuya a moment to put the pieces together, looking at him curiously before he realizes how it probably bruised Gongenzaka's ego. He could take the shirt in good humor because he knows Gon is smart, but he must feel like some part of the sentiment is genuine.]

I'm sure she didn't mean it that way. [Gongenzaka's drink is slid across the counter just then. Yuya grabs it quickly and holds it out for his friend.] You're really thoughtful, and your test scores are way better than mine!

[As if Yuya's scores are anything to be proud of.] I know how smart you are.
