PILLAR OF CREATION↴![]() Upon arriving, things in Wismuth will seem pretty peaceful. It's a massive city, with no shortage of things going on, but things like violent crime and homelessness are at an all time low. You can wander the streets without much scrutiny, presumed to just be tourists, and most people here come across as helpful and friendly. ► VIBRANCY: The main thing that sets this planet apart is its vibrancy - AKA, the raw creative energy its filled with, flowing from its status as a Pillar of Creation. There is no literal pillar, but Wismuth and its planet is a place where Creation's energy comes through strongest. As a result, everything here feels somehow more real, more intense in a way that's hard to put a finger on. Life is abundant, and its bleeds through in every sensation. ► ATTRACTIONS: There are plenty of things to see while going around the city. First and foremost, there is a lovely beach area bordering the ocean, and a number of tourist aimed attractions built around it. There are giant malls, movie theaters, live stage performances, museums and all kinds of other points of cultural interest. Anything you can do in a big city you can do here, but better. ► ALLOWANCES: The Ringmaster will be giving everyone a reasonable amount of local currency for a few days on the town. You can't make any massive acquisitions with it, but it's more than enough to eat out, see some shows, go to the beach, and whatever you like. You can feel free to pick up some casual supplies, like mundane clothing and souvenirs. There will be more given out later, after the performance week. ► PERFORMANCE: Performance week is starting early this time, after only a couple days of exploration. When the carnival has already been on vacation for a month, the Ringmaster figures they may as well get right to it, and then do more touring afterwards. Members of the local populace will find themselves in the carnival once performances begin, dazzled by the other worldly sights. Magic doesn't seem to exist here, despite the fact that it will flow easier for people bringing it from other worlds. |

[His grin in return comes as easily as it always does. Or maybe even more so. As someone typically thrumming with passion for life, it's an interesting thrill to almost feel a similar... feedback of the same energy in their surroundings.
Or something along those lines.]
Were you looking for me for a while?
no subject
Uh--no, not really. [He rubs the back of his neck.] But there is something I wanted to ask you about anyway.
[He stuffs his hands in his pockets, as if this is a casual conversation (it's not).] It's not a big deal, I guess, I was just thinking about it.
no subject
[Now he's curious at the very least. Just as casually Yugo leans a bit against the building they're standing next to. Short of finding a place to sit if this turns into a longer conversation, it's better than standing around on the sidewalk.]
Well if you've had it on your mind, then sure- what is it?
no subject
He sucks in a breath.] I was just thinking, we've never really talked about everything about Zarc? I didn't see what Yuri did to you or... asked how you feel about it. Not that we have to talk about it!
no subject
Depends on what you wanna know. But more often than not I blacked out whenever that guy pulled me into his crazy.
[He pauses, deeply in thought over something.]
... Actually no. I would get these... tiny flashes of what was going on around me. Occasionally.
no subject
I blacked out too, whenever he took over. Sometimes I could fight it enough he didn't control me completely, but... [But he was still a hair away from losing it again.
He frowns.] It's weird, like the En cards didn't effect him the way it did us. I can't do any of that stuff now that he's gone.

[Where Yugo is out the loop, Clear Wing from atop his shoulder actually seems to hiss, which makes him glance toward the tiny dragon summon. Though whether the sound was made out of plain anger, discontent, or both... it's hard to tell.]
Oi.. whatever those are, we're fine now Clear Wing.
[And then shifting his attention back to Yuya as he pats the dragon.] And what do you mean by what those cards did or didn't do anyway, Yuya?
no subject
Their last conversation was so brief, he hadn't really thought about it. But maybe Yugo just...] Do you remember what happened in the original dimension? Why the monsters were angry, and we fused with them, and Ray?
no subject
[As opposed to Clear Wing, but too bad the dragons can't talk. Though something else comes to mind once Yugo thinks about it.]
... You remember all of that stuff somehow?
no subject
After we became one, it was... a lot clearer, like I remembered it happening and not just being told it happened. [A pause.] What do you remember?
no subject
[Show?]
You see, back on the moon they were selling this magic photo album that has pictures in it based on the memories of whoever opens it. That'd make things easier between us right?
[Three guesses on what Yugo was initially using that album for. The first two don't count.]
no subject
[He didn't actually mind talking, but he'll do this however is most comfortable for Yugo.]
no subject
But he is not, so all is well for now during the walk back to the carnival. It's routine for him to always do his serious last minute checks on his D-Wheel sometime during the day before performance week starts anyway.]
Heh. Yeah, I knew I had to nab it before anyone else did.
no subject
[It's magic, but that doesn't preclude it being infinite, right?]
no subject
[How helpful. As usual. Because why take the time to understand everything about how the magic works when one can just take the results at face value?]
no subject
So he'll just follow Yugo to his trailer, waiting for his invitation in before he enters and looks around absently.]
no subject
Ah yeah, here it is!
[Yugo is relatively quick to bring over the sturdy-looking wood grained brick of an album. He flips open the cover, then lo and behold- the blank photos in there start developing into full-color pictures,]
no subject
no subject
He pauses a bit at one literally foggy photo with Yuya and a collapsed Yuto- but as Yugo eventually keeps going...]
... Nah. I don't have any memories in here from Zarc.
no subject
Anyway, the Professor developed the En cards in the original dimension to stop Zarc, and Ray used them against us in the duel. That's how both of us got split up, and the dimensions.
[He holds his fingers up, numbered for emphasis.] There's four En cards, right? Just like there's four dragons, but we got split into five pieces didn't we?
[Yuya, Yugo, Yuto, Yuri, Zarc. Perhaps that's why Zarc still seemed to remember everything, why he still had power from the monster spirits that even Yugo and Yuya couldn't control.]
no subject
[Because no matter how one does the numbers...]
Even if the math still adds up on the four of us all having an equal bit of Zarc, yeah that's five pieces.
[Yugo spares another pause. Also yes he's pretty decent with juggling fractions of all things in his head.]
... Starting to wonder if this magic stuff actually makes more sense at the carnival than it does back in the dimensions. You think that might've been some kind of fluke maybe?
no subject
[Honestly, who's surprised Leo's original plan didn't function as intended even aside from Ray's meddling?] I don't remember a lot more, I probably wouldn't if I didn't hear the truth first.
no subject
[Hence Zarc in a jar, waiting to be reincarnated properly into a baby.]
And something about speeding up the dimensions resplitting so... I guess she had a better picture of what she wanted the magic to do?
no subject
His gaze drifts down the the photo album again. He really is getting most of the memories, isn't he... in a way, it's a little lonely, but also maybe it's for the best that they don't remember too much about how they used to be. It doesn't have a happy ending, after all.]
Well, even if you don't remember... if you ever want to talk about it you can find me. It changed things for all of us, didn't it?
no subject
[He closes the album, but then offers it to Yuya.]
This thing works on anyone, not just me. I'm fine seeing that stuff through pictures if you're alright with sharing, really!
[Yugo is entirely the last person one should be trying to project their worries onto. the lizard-like synchro double seems far more chill than anything else the other might've been expecting. Besides... Yuya shouldn't have to shoulder everything if one can help it.]
