What: The carnival enjoys a few days in Wismuth, a coastal city on this planet's version of the American east. However, there are a few things very unique about this version of the planet...

Upon arriving, things in Wismuth will seem pretty peaceful. It's a massive city, with no shortage of things going on, but things like violent crime and homelessness are at an all time low. You can wander the streets without much scrutiny, presumed to just be tourists, and most people here come across as helpful and friendly.

► VIBRANCY: The main thing that sets this planet apart is its vibrancy - AKA, the raw creative energy its filled with, flowing from its status as a Pillar of Creation. There is no literal pillar, but Wismuth and its planet is a place where Creation's energy comes through strongest. As a result, everything here feels somehow more real, more intense in a way that's hard to put a finger on. Life is abundant, and its bleeds through in every sensation.

► ATTRACTIONS: There are plenty of things to see while going around the city. First and foremost, there is a lovely beach area bordering the ocean, and a number of tourist aimed attractions built around it. There are giant malls, movie theaters, live stage performances, museums and all kinds of other points of cultural interest. Anything you can do in a big city you can do here, but better.

► ALLOWANCES: The Ringmaster will be giving everyone a reasonable amount of local currency for a few days on the town. You can't make any massive acquisitions with it, but it's more than enough to eat out, see some shows, go to the beach, and whatever you like. You can feel free to pick up some casual supplies, like mundane clothing and souvenirs. There will be more given out later, after the performance week.

► PERFORMANCE: Performance week is starting early this time, after only a couple days of exploration. When the carnival has already been on vacation for a month, the Ringmaster figures they may as well get right to it, and then do more touring afterwards. Members of the local populace will find themselves in the carnival once performances begin, dazzled by the other worldly sights. Magic doesn't seem to exist here, despite the fact that it will flow easier for people bringing it from other worlds.

Maybe it'll be freshly squeezed? ...Well maybe not, but it won't be the over sugared stuff at least. It's a good thing Tyki has a plan, however, because as Reira looks over the menu she...has no idea what she can 'focus' on, really. There's quite a lot.

"Mnnh...ok then..!" If he has experience, he has experience. "...What happens if I can't eat everything...?" she adds, frowning at the menu. These aren't too much for her on their Own, but even one will be plenty alongside various meats that are coming.

Apples made with lots of love often tasted better. It's just how apples went. The natural sweetness always appealed to him even if his brethren Skinn was more into sweet than savory. He is moving his hand over that grill though to see if it was on and he'll let his hand drop back down after.

Man, she's so weird but he has a feeling it is more than that like usual, "Then you can take some to go for later or I can take it if you don't want it. I'm use to midnight snacking. You're not required to eat anything you don't want to, Miss Reira."

Definitely a 'more as usual' thing. "...We can just take it back?" Definitely. She looks wonderfully amazed in fact-come to think, Yuugo had been insisting on that being Possible while they were having dinners on the moon, but she'd just not quite believed him since they only had...Plates. And things.

She immediately looks back over the menu, far more excited. "Umnh... ...I haven't had most of these things, but I don't think there's things I won't like either..." She has a pretty flexible palate, lucky for her. Just has to narrow her choices down...

"...............They have corn and cheese..?" 1 Side Dish, Down-

"Yes, I would have paid for it so I cannot see why I wouldn't be allowed to take what is mine." Though he'll come to a surprise later on buffets acting a little different. Those rules are laid out clearly on signs. He'll have to enjoy himself right now while he feels like he's being pampered.

"That's good to know. You have a choice right now. Don't worry about rejecting something you don't like." Because he feels like he has to say it twice, "That works. I'll pick the, uh, I think this is seasoned spinach and whatever these potatoes are. " There are a lot of veggies he recognizes but it was the matter of what they were coated in or mixed in with that confuses him. He's use to a more fine palate himself.

He may or may not end up with potato pancakes. Potato noodles. Or maybe they aren't even potatoes! Who knows. Reira just studies the menu, continuing to ponder her decision. "Mnhh..."

There appear to be...well, aside from the side dishes, a fair number of different stews, and things... "...I'm going to get that one, I think," she decides, pointing at a fish and egg mix. "And...um...there's a fish here... ...I don't know what this is, but it looks like something to share?" she offers, pointing to what's labeled 'Hot Pot'.

Any type of potatoes would be fine with him. Despite having to peel so many over a month ago he did enjoy them. Red potatoes went well with lean beef or steak. Nothing else really interests him on the menu other than what he's already suggested and he'll watch her look over the little things.

"That's fine. You pick what you want and I'll go from there. Though yes on the fish. It's hard to say no to fish."

"Mnn!" She beams, and then...points to the menu splash page, spotting the fish in question. Some kind of 'Croaker'...

Actually on that note. "...If it still looks like a fish, does that make it better fish than when it doesn't look like one anymore?" This is an important question, she feels. "...I can still see this one's eyes..." At least she's not turned away by it! Just Intrigued.

He laughs softly mostly with her and not at her as he rests his cheek into his hand and leans a little while she's looking over the menu.

"No, the fish tastes better the fresher it is. It doesn't matter if it has a head or not. The head only signifies that it hasn't been cut into or as little as possible. It seals in the juices a lot better also depending on how it has been prepared." Tyki knows his fish okay.

"...........Oh." WELL OKAY THEN. She looks back at the fish, and shrugs, closing the menu over. "...Well we're getting that fish, then. ...Juices can make a fish taste good, right?"

She's hoping the answer is Yes. These fish are gonna be Great.

"I was thinking of doing some fishing later on this week. A lot of people don't actually eat the head so you don't have to," he says with a bright smile. Tyki desired the whole fish and if caught fresh and raw he would eat the whole thing except the bones. "Exceptionally so. Seared correctly, basted properly with a nice flaky touch."

He's going to go ahead and signal for the hostess again if necessary and order already because he's hungry now.

"Like what 9S likes to do?" That's what the android said anyway, that he liked to go fishing. He even showed her how he normally fished. It was....okay. She couldn't really do it on her own though...

The hostess is quick to arrive however-not only with the drinks, but with a number of small side dishes; lettuce leaves, little vegetables like mushrooms...

"Here you are," she starts, setting everything down. "Your meat will be here shortly-I can show you how to operate the grill at that time, if you like. These dishes here are to be enjoyed with the meat. ...Is there anything from the prepared menu you would like, as well?"

Reira will quickly-albeit a little awkwardly-pass on her own order. Fish, soup...good stuff!

"Does he?" comes that very smooth voice of his. It's force of habit when he's unintentionally probing for information. It's something interesting that he'll store in the back of his mind for later. Fishing is something he'd always liked to do.

"That would be most appreciated," he'll begin before adding in a gentle, "Just to be sure we are using it correctly." Otherwise he's firing off the smaller things off the menu that he wants as previously discussed with Reira. "Thank you."

"Mnn! It's one of his favorite things, I think." He was certainly very happy about it. As it is, she jots all of those things down and nods, disappearing off to transfer the order. It won't take long before she's back with the meat again-but in the meantime, Reira just looks over the little dishes. Just little things...

"...So...we eat those with the meats..? ...Does that mean you can't eat them alone?" No, it really doesn't, oh goodness-

He'll have to remember to invite him sometime just to either mess with him a little more or have a kind conversation for once. 9S is a rather curious boy and that will always get him into trouble.

He chuckles deeply even if he doesn't mean to offend her as he glances at the tiny booklet just to fiddle with something, "You can eat them alone if you want, Miss Reira. There's nothing stopping you. It's just recommended."

"Ohhhh..." This entire thing is such a learning experience, wow-

Anyway, the meat is here; and the server will show them a few basic matters. How to clean the grill if it gets too coated in Stuff, how to use the tongs to flip the meat...

"You should probably let your brother handle this though, ok?" the lady tells her, Reira frowning a bit.

Um. She is not-

"I'll be back with your cooked dishes shortly-if there's anything you need, just hit this button on the side of the table though, alright?" Well, she's gone before Reira can say something....

...She can still say it to Tyki. "...you're not my brother though..." People assume things kiddo, that's just how it goes.

This should not be an actual learning experience given even he was taught something like this. Proper manners dictated you at least ate everything on a given plate but this was not her world. Hers was far too modern for him.

He listens at least to get down the basics and he'll nod with another thanks and a heartfelt chuckle at the mistake. He's setting some meat on the grill just as she was showing them and listen to the pleased sound of it grilling.

"I know. At best I would make a good uncle but people make mistakes. That's the best of humanity at whole. Many assume."

It absolutely shouldn't-but there's no good reason to dwell on shouldn't's, when there's time to make things right. Right in the sense of better, at least.

(Though realistically, habits involving scarce food will likely have her clear the plates anyway, as nervous as she is.)

Reira watches somewhat eagerly as the meat cooks, occasionally blinking back up to Tyki to talk. "Mnh. An Uncle..?" she asks, pausing with thought. An uncle is.... .... "...Why an 'uncle'?"

"Brother is a little bit too close of a relationship just as much a father might be," he begins. He can't really use the option of them not looking alike given his own family came from various races and tolerances and adoption was something common.

He turns the meet after one side sort of looks done and he'll poke at it lightly just because he can, "Uncle is just about perfect for the friendship we have."

"Mnnnh...." She's trying to make sense of that, she supposes. But...it's a bit tricky, admittedly. She can't pretend to understand it entirely, so she eventually just nods. "Mnn, I guess you would know, then," she decides, watching the meat. "...Is any of it almost ready?" she asks, staring at it.

"You choose your family, Miss Reira," he replies with all the fondness and warmth an elder brother can provide. He pokes at the meat a little then grabs one of the white plates and sort of fishes it onto it gently. He's not placing it fancy or anything and simply piling it on top of each other, "This should be. Eat up."

"...I do?" It's an innocent question, but with the look on her face, she seems to at least...enjoy the idea. Choosing who's family, rather. She eagerly holds out her plate for a bit of meat herself, just in time for the server to come in.

That would be the other food then-she doesn't stay long though. Long enough to ask if they want refills on drinks, if they're doing alright...but that's it. The food is served, and Reira beams just a little wider at the display.

'Eat up.' "M-Mn! Okay!"

"Yes, you do. Just because you're related doesn't mean they have to be the family you chose. Choice is a wonderful thing in this world." But he could go on all day about that given the time and reason.

As she holds the plate out he dishes that meat onto it to serve her first before himself. Even in his white life as a hobo he always made sure the youngest got the most to eat even if that meant his rag tag bunch of hobo friends got nothing including himself. It's only after does he serve himself and breaks open the utensils. He's dishing out the side platters onto the plate and already setting more meat onto the grill to keep it going.

Only then does he slide the first set into his mouth and enjoys it to the utmost fullest, "Mm."

He can go on, and she can listen just as long really- especially now that she has a plate of meat, and also a bowl of soup, some fish, some...well there's a lot of everything and all of it is going to be bit by bit in her mouth, which makes it rather hard to speak at all. So there's a lot of nodding, and an equal amount of chewing, and-

"Mnfg!"

Excuse her as she chugs some apple juice that was really hot!!!

"Mnh...I don't know anyone I'm 'related' to..." she says after putting the glass back down, shrugging. "...So I guess I really, really have to choose..."

His apple juice almost looks alcoholic and he would admit that he did miss the cider up on the Moon. He would have to add it to a list of things to look for later on when things weren't so hectic.

He isn't going to talk with his mouth full as he was raised better than that and when he's swallowed a large amount, he'll respond again, "I have a brother and a niece and nephew by proxy. Other than that the rest of my family is from all around the world and adopted from many races and places. We take care of each other and that's all that matters. It's those that make you happy that should be your family."

"Mnhh, that many..?" Well, that's impressive, as far as she's concerned. She considers Tyki's words for a minute, before-

"...Does that mean you could be?" She thinks she wouldn't mind a family that has Tyki in it-he's nice and buys food and generally just has nice things to say or do, far as she can tell. Perfect.
