What: With the Silver Mirror claimed and the animals of Eden relocated, it's time for the carnival to kick back and enjoy an interdimensional bathhouse and the surrounding festival city. Meanwhile, the scattered shards of the Mirror have an unexpected effect.
Warnings: Dark/Light halves acting weird.

THE BIG CLEANSE↴ As the carnival recovers, the Ringmaster has brought it to the gates of a famous interdimensional bathhouse to rest. She won't be joining you for most of it, though she will be checking in frequently and available by radio. She's fixed a large portion of the Silver Mirror after it shattered, but it seems like pieces are missing. She doesn't want to rest until the missing shards are dealt with, and the Mirror itself is locked away safely. ► YOUR OTHER HALF: The shards missing from the Silver Mirror didn't just disappear - after breaking apart in Eden, fragments of the object embedded themselves in the spirits of those not already touched by its powers, and those that had been the most fae-touched. That means, your characters. The effect of this, explained in more detail on the plotting post, is that some characters will be splitting into two versions of themselves: the Light, and the Dark. This doesn't mean good and evil, of course, it's far more complicated than that. Splits can start happening at any time after arriving in Shabon, and initially characters won't know how to rejoin with their twins. Later on, it will become apparent that they need to reconnect via the shard of the Mirror they share... of course, in order to rejoin, you have to have both halves, and not all twins will be as eager to go back to the way things were before. This plot point is optional. ► SPA DAY: When you're not engaging in metaphysical division, you are free to enjoy the many luxuries that Shabon offers. Things will mostly have an east-Asian bend, like what you would see in the movie Spirited Away, but as long as it doesn't affect the setting much, you can honestly have whatever spa-type services available that you want. Food is served both in restaurants and 'buffet' style. There are also well paid sex workers here, if that is your thing, but make sure to tip well. ► FESTIVAL TOWN: The city surrounding Shabondamashii is largely meant to catch the business of interdimensional tourists. There are frequent parades and other events held, and the architecture is very closely packed. It's easy to get lost if you leave the bathhouse, but it's definitely worth it if you like party. You can pick out a few outfits for yourself and some fun nick nacks, but nothing that would normally require mod approval.

[He finishes off his cup as well, and eats another piece of tempura.]

How would I know what kind of taste I have? I don't have your years of experience.

Fine, fone~. But don’t regret if it’s too strong.

[But first, they have to finish what’s in front of them. Shura thinks for a moment, then nods. ]

Heh, I know what to do~. Let’s play a game. It’s better with more people, but we can still play it like this.

[ Time to harass the poor server again, this time asking for a few more cups and something small. The server seems to know what she’s asking for, and will return after a minute with the requested items. ]

This is easy! I’m going to hide something under a cup, I’ll move ‘em around, and we’ll take turns trying not to pick the cup that has somethin’ in it. If you pick that cup, you gotta fill up every cup that’s been turned over and drink it.

[reflash]

Sure, I'll play. [He's sure Shura will cheat, but he'll go along with it. After all, this is supposed to be fun and irresponsible.]

[Surprisingly enough, Shura doesn't have any plans to cheat, mostly because she's knows at a certain point it can only backfire on her.

She'll take another piece of tempura while she sets up the little game, deciding to start off with four cups. The little item is a small flower, perfectly fake and reusable. When she swallows down her food, she'll move to slip the flower under one of the cups.]

So keep an eye on this one~

[Like he needs to be told. But any possible cheating aside, Shura is actually pretty good at switching the cups around. It's as if she's done this many times before. When she's satisfied with her work, she'll sit back, laying her hands on the table, palms up.]

[reflash]

[Yukio has never done this, but he's a Dragoon, and if he couldn't keep track of a single target he would have been dead years ago.]

All right. [Shura, if you want him to lose this game you need to give him more than one cup of sake beforehand. He flips an empty cup, and waits for Shura to take her turn.]

[exaomori]

[It's fine, let him build up his confidence. She can handle losing a round or two, and she'll play it cool, turning over a second empty cup.]

Nya, your turn~

[Also, she knows there's a chance he'll assume she's cheating right off the bat, so he could make the mistake earlier than she anticipates.]

[reflash]

[He doubts she would cheat on the first round. The second or third, probably, but to cheat right off the bat would stop him from wanting to play.

He flips the last empty cup.]

Your turn, Shura-san.

[exaomori]

[ She'll accept her loss with a laugh.]

You have the hang of it, that's good~

[And she won't try to dodge responsibility, flipping over the last cup to reveal the flower before reaching for the sake bottle to fill the cups up. Sensibly, a reasonable amount, not overflowing, nothing Yukio could complain about. But she will move to eat another bite before downing the first cup.]

Wanna play another round, or do you wanna play somethin' else?

[reflash]

"I'll play another round," he says, taking another piece of tempura as he watches Shura fill her cups.

"You'll have to come up with an easier game if you want to play with my brother."

[exaomori]

"You want me to bring him out? Haha, he's still got a way to go before I can bring him out with me~" Though she would let him get drunk with her in her trailer...

Shura takes her drinks in quick succession, a clear pro. It's going to hit her in a moment, but she doesn't seem too affected by the alcohol as she casually slides the cups towards Yukio.

"Now you do it, and I'll pick first."

[reflash]

"Let's add in another cup." He suggests. He's nowhere near as experienced with this as she is, and he's fairly sure she'll be able to keep track of the cups and leave him stuck with the flower. Time to see if she'll go for an odd number.

[exaomori]

Her grin widens into a leer.

"Sure~"

Except she's pushing two cups forward. She knows exactly what he's trying to do, and she can play this game, too.

"I mean, unless you don't think you can switch this many around ♥"

[reflash]

His plan backfired completely, but he doesn't really react to it as much as Shura might hope. There's no flinch or glare or half-vocalized annoyance. He just flips the cups over, replaces the flower, and starts switching them around, claws tapping on the ceramic.

"Your turn."

[exaomori]

His lack of reaction doesn't take her by surprise; he's gotten good at that. On a professional level, it was a good skill to have, but when he was alone with her, it was a pain.

She watches carefully, still able to keep up. She stills plays a game of considering her options before tapping and turning over an empty cup before she motions for him to go next.

[reflash]

He's going along with the game, but he doesn't bother with pretending to consider what cup to flip before flipping his own empty cup. He knows exactly how this is going to end, and he knows that Shura's just going to drag it out for the fun of it.

"This game would be better with more people."

[exaomori]

"It usually is," Shura agrees. That's why she was kind and tried to only start out with four to get him started. She flips her next cup over after a shorter pause this time around. "We'll get Rin to play next time." That way both of them could gang up on him!

[reflash]

He flips his next cup, and nods.

"Kuro would probably play as well." Which would mean they could all gang up on... someone. Hopefully Rin.

[exaomori]

She'd be playing with the cat, too? Well, she could work with that, but Shura wasn't expecting Yukio to suggest him.

"Sure, sure." She flips her last cup, leaving Yukio stuck with the flower cup, and she ever so helpfully scoots the bottle towards him. Was there even enough left in the bottle for that many shots? Oh well, she'd call for some shochu if not.

[reflash]

There's no way there's enough in the bottle for that many shots, and he has two cups left when he runs out of alcohol to pour.

"It looks like we're out." Not that he really thinks he'll get off the hook for this one, and when Shura orders another round he finishes filling the cups and takes his drinks in quick succession, not outwardly reacting to the different (higher proof) replacement.

"All right, it's your turn." He doesn't ask to add in another set of cups this time, but he's willing to go another round with her.

[exaomori]

Damn, if she didn't know any better, she'd think he might have had some real experience here.

"It is, it is~" The alcohol is slowly making its way into her, though, and she's a little more clumsy this time around as she switches the cups around. Maybe she should have take those two extra ones out? Nah, she has this.

"You're doing pretty okay~ Lotta guys flinch a little while drinkin' all of that."

[reflash]

His gaze flicks up to her when she speaks, and he loses track of the cup. But that's fine, he can still do this.

"Did you really expe--" He stumbles a bit over the word, like there are some sounds he can't quite wrap his snake-tongue around right now. It's fine. "Expect me to flinch?"

He flips a cup, and (luckily), it's empty.

[exaomori]

"Nyeheh, this stuff ain't for babies! It burns on the way down, doesn't it?"

Truthfully, Shura's not entirely certain where the flower is anymore. But the cup she flips is empty, so that's good for her.

[reflash]

"It could be worse." But it does burn, and the heat settles in him in a way that's entirely different from the last time, probably because there's no additional magic forcing him into pure relaxation. He laughs, like that was some kind of joke, and flips another cup. Thankfully, it's empty as well.

"I'm going to win this round, Shura-san."

[exaomori]

"What a bold thing to say!" Way to try playing it cool, Yukio, Shura knows better.

Shura reaches for her next cup, fairly certain that this one was empty, but that declaration of his has her pausing, her fingers hovering just above the cup.

"Oho! You feel like bettin' on that?"

[reflash]

"Aren't we already betting?" This isn't the half of Yukio that rises to meet any challenge, this is the part that just goes with the flow.
