What: The carnival arrives at a new location and has its first performance week with the new cast, as outlined here. This is a general mingling log for convenience purposes, but players are welcome to make as many other logs for this purpose as desired.
Warnings: Could be a lot of things, around these parts.

THE REALM OF DREAMS↴ As the carnival arrives at its first stop since its recruitment phase, and prepares to put its new band of workers to the test. In the meantime, there is a whole new world of dreams and nightmares to be explored, and threats to be faced on carnival turf. As of S1:D11, the carnival will be opening its doors to the creatures within, and the carnival will be open daily from noon to midnight, though the connection to the realm will be constant. This is an all purpose mingle log for the full duration of the stay, so please mark top levels with some estimate of what days they'll be occurring on. Please bring any mod questions to the original plotting post.

Greg has no idea how old Sans is, or if age is even a relevant concept for skeletons. Assurance that Amethyst is getting along with people is a genuine reassurance. "That's really great. It's kinda been a while since she's gotten to hang out with this many new people, should've known she'd pal up pretty well with people." God could he BE more of a dad right now. "But, her and Steven are pretty used to this sort of thing as a whole. I've always kept my nose out of it when I could."

"I can respect that," Sans comments, a little bit wryly but not much. "Getting into things can be a real pain in the pelvis most of the time, especially where extremely magical stuff is concerned."

"But nah. Amethyst is a go-getter. Especially where trying new things is concerned..."

Like skeleton dick, for example, or lack thereof.

"No kidding." That's likely in response to Amethyst, but could just as easily be about magic being a pain if Greg were a little bit more rude.

"Well, she's a good person to make pals with, in a place like this. But, hopefully you won't have to stick you neck out for me too much." He rolls a shoulder in a shrug, trying very hard to be casual. "Guess it's time I start taking after my family instead of leaving things to them."

And now its Sans's turn to feel awkward, that comment prodding at the intense feelings of guilt he's been feeling all week. He's not much one for wearing his heart on his ulna, but historically he can't claim to have been any different.

"...Yeah, well," he says, having to catch up after a few disconnected moments of delay. "...I can't blame you for wantin' to take a step back, either. Especially when what we're dealing with is stuff like last night."

Greg picks up on that moment of discomfort, but he can't tell what caused it. Better not to push. He rolls a shoulder.

"Well, it's not like it's the first time I've been around things like that. Back home, it was pretty normal... but it was easy to get away from, too." He shakes his head. "It's scary, but if it's how things are gonna be from here on out, I gotta can't keep hiding from it. You've got enough to take care of without me pulling more half-baked stunts like last time."
