What: The carnival arrives at a new location and has its first performance week with the new cast, as outlined here. This is a general mingling log for convenience purposes, but players are welcome to make as many other logs for this purpose as desired.
Warnings: Could be a lot of things, around these parts.

THE REALM OF DREAMS↴ As the carnival arrives at its first stop since its recruitment phase, and prepares to put its new band of workers to the test. In the meantime, there is a whole new world of dreams and nightmares to be explored, and threats to be faced on carnival turf. As of S1:D11, the carnival will be opening its doors to the creatures within, and the carnival will be open daily from noon to midnight, though the connection to the realm will be constant. This is an all purpose mingle log for the full duration of the stay, so please mark top levels with some estimate of what days they'll be occurring on. Please bring any mod questions to the original plotting post.

[Papyrus is VERY OFFENSIVE and that is an appropriate response honestly. He nods, repeatedly and seriously, considering Spyro's objections, and solves the matter with the utmost of ease.]

Boy, do I! You could sunbathe... on top of your trailer!

That right there just sounds like a really good way to fry myself. Nah dude, I think I'll stay right here and catch a few more z's.

[And sure enough, as he says that, he puts his head back down on his front paws and closes his eyes like the rude little bastard he is.]

[Papyrus recognizes the fake snooze as the manipulative tactic it is, and is about to call Spyro on it when those emphasized words sink in. He pauses, thinking about it, and then yelps his surprise.]

The sun fries people??

Huh?

[Spyro dares to open his eyes again to give Papyrus a confused look.] It's a figure of speech pal. Y'know, sunburn, dehydration... There's a whole heap of nonsense you could be putting yourself at risk for if you go too hard on sunbathing. I don't want to risk bleaching this perfect purple out of my awesome scales, either.

Discoloration and burning?? [He's at least as alarmed as before, if not more, and he steps away like sunlight might be contagious.] Nobody warned me the sun can do any of that!

[smellslikebarbecue]

Chill out dude, that kind of thing only happens if you're soaking up rays in excess. [He flicks his tail lazily, still a bit irritated that his nap is suffering such a prolonged interruption.] 'Sides, you don't even have skin. It's probably a non-issue for you.

Oh. [The interruption continues to interrupt.] But! Still! I'm not just worried about myself!

[He stands even taller, full of some responsibility for others.] There's a lot of people back home with skin. And they wouldn't know!

[smellslikebarbecue]

Gotcha. Well, just tell them to invest in some sunscreen and avoid laying on any reflective metallic surfaces.

Then he yawns again, wings outstretching and stirring the air slightly. He's sounding groggy again:]
