MOON WALKING↴ The journey to the moon only takes a blink of an eye, but it leaves the carnival far away beneath you. The second moon can be seen on the peripheral, massive compared to its usual view. At least when the holidays start out, there will be no notable wildlife on the moon, though this is something you can talk to the Ringmaster about if you think it needs a change. It sounds like this is the first time she's used it in quite a while - it probably needs some dusting off! Claim your cabins, and proceed to... well, do whatever you want! There is no rush and little obligation, besides to enjoy yourself. For real, this time. She promises there will be no vampires. Or, at least, none that don't already work for the carnival. ► CABINS: Living arrangements are character choice for this event, and there are a variety of cabins of various sizes, mostly built to house 2-6 people, though you can fit more in if you squish. They are all made of wood and of a rustic design - no fancy modern furniture, here! Each building is housed with a fireplace and the needed amenities. You can pick up materials to cook with the private kitchens if you like. Theoretically, you could spend the whole holiday sequestered away, watching the snow fall. Some of them also have outdoor hot tubs available! ► ACTIVITIES: Activities are mostly going to be character driven, though there will be some large group games like bingo and maybe a poker tournament happening at some point in one of the festival halls. Otherwise, there is a lot to offer: skiing, snowboarding, hiking, ice sculpting, snowball fights - it goes on! If you'd like to run a winter activity, just let the mods know, and we will get the word out there for you. ► FEASTING: Every day isn't a full-out feast because that would get a bit unhealthy, but there will be a number of specific feast events over the holidays where everyone is encouraged to let out their inner hedonist and stuff themselves. There will be one big feast per week, with smaller but also delicious meals offered in between. The feast dates will be B12, B18, and B24. There's also plenty of alcohol available for anyone who wants it. ► SHOPPING: As mentioned in the planning post, there is a massive market being run by the World Walker Caravan! The Ringmaster has given everyone 1250 credits to spend on items, but there is a caveat - must spend at least 500 of those credits on gifts for other people. And it better be a good one, if you only buy one! (She will ask that you do not buy her presents, however. She appreciates the sentiment, but it seems sort of silly buying her things with her own money! If you'd like to gift her, please have it be something more personal or handmade, but you are not obligated to get her anything at all.) ► TREATMENTS: The beginning of the holidays will also be about the time that the emergency Medical Team will have finalized their treatments for the Prince's poisoning. Watch out for further information on that - and make sure to get treated if you are suffering from petrification or poison induced illness! The holidays will be a lot more fun that way.

Yuya shrugs. "I dunno, but you're here wiping snow off our porch instead of having fun."

This is just a continual feedback of confusion. Yuya is a teenager, and tidiness and order are usually not the first things on his mind. "Come on, we can find something better to do! Like make snow bunnies, or go skiing, or something."

Susan looks to the box when he hears the fox scratching, and then Lauren is opening it and he looks expectantly at his brother as he looks in to see the little animal. He isn't sure what Lauren is thinking, especially when it makes a noise at him and his brother just looks surprised.

"...Lauren?" Does he like it...?

[disjunct]

[ She pours their drinks. ]

Yeah. Might as well set the example.

Never have I ever... booted someone off a roof! One of my great regrets.

No problem. I'm an expert at gifting things, a prodigy you might say. And the credits don't really matter, I got what I wanted at the doorbuster.

[ His alien. ]

Hahahaha! Oh my god, you actually beat me at one! You know, I'm actually a really good people reader, but because this place is what it is, my success rate has never been lower!

[ why does that make her happy ]

[Rita's playing it cool, but she'll face him normally when he approaches her.]

Yeah... [She had the headache this morning to remind her.] Kinda wish we came up with something more... palatable, but I guess I'm feeling better.

[ At first, Flowey doesn't really notice. He's too preoccupied with his alien child, who climbs onto the table to bite into another gourd , drain the juices, and make a mess. ]

... that's right, Nova, show table manners who's boss.

[ Flowey please-- you might need to catch his attention? ]

I'm glad! [He grins, his gaze absently drifting to her neck for a moment if he can see her blastia.] Hey, you wanna skate with me? It's really easy.

[After days of being trapped under illness, he knows he'd be antsy to be moving when he could. Rita may not be as fidgety as he is, but wouldn't anyone feel stuck being sick in their room?]

Well, no one would know what you want more than you, right?

... I'm totally broke, so I can't buy more paint.

[ Flowey, what have you overspent... on... ]

But at least I got Reira the most perfect gift that NO ONE can beat.

He reaches down towards the animal, as though to pet it, and the fox presses itself even further against the bottom of the box to avoid the hand coming into contact with it's mossy fur. Lauren frowns, but he doesn't look unhappy. Actually he only has two thoughts going through his head, the first is that he hopes this animal wasn't stolen away from anywhere, and the second that it's really freaking cute whatever it is.

"Where did you get this?"

"It was for sale, at the market..." Susan is frowning, now, especially as he sees Lauren's own frown. He's still not exactly sure of his brother's feelings on this, and although he doesn't really seem angry, or even upset, he still is a little uncertain if Lauren likes it or is going to lecture him.

He reaches for the box, picking it up before sitting it on the ground under the table. Sometimes animals liked finding somewhere "safe" to hide in when they were in a new place they didn't know yet. He hoped that would help the fox feel more at home.

"Did they tell you how they got it?"

He shakes his head, watching as Lauren carefully gives the little fox a "cave" kind of place to hide. It's a good idea, he hopes it works for it...

"They didn't say. I knew you'd be able to take good care of it, though, 'cause of the plants, and everything. So that way it can be safe."

[anti_nonsense]

[Her neck is fully covered by a thick scarf, but she is in fact wearing the blastia underneath it.]

Skating? Hmm... [She folds her arms, looking down to Yuya's skates, then glancing over at what appears to be a skate rental booth.] All right. Why not?

He looks touched by the response, but it's only their for a second before his concern from a moment ago is back. He does like the gift, though it doesn't occur to him to say it, but right now his concern for the creature outweighs his happiness at receiving the gift.

"It looked scared." He doesn't like that. He hoped it was just the result of being somewhere unfamiliar. "I should talk to it."

[pipers_son]

"Good." A long content sigh rushes out of him, adding a little more warmth to the cold snowy air. As if the steam wafting out from the water wasn't enough. "Good, because, ya were attractive, a bit, but that was shit, ya shouldn't be like that. Like shit." Did he let that slip out? It's fine. Joker figures it is, anyway. It's not as if he's been subtle that Ginko is more attractive than he thinks he is.

That's not really important, right now. Instead, slumped against the hot tub with his arm propped out awkwardly, he starts turning his wrist in circles in a slow awkward gesture. Hey. Hey.

Of course Lauren not voicing that just has Susan continuing to worry in the back of his head that Lauren doesn't like it, but he doesn't say that right now. Instead he'll just focus on the fox itself, and he can worry about the rest later.

"That might be a good idea! Then you can tell it not to be scared, and that kind of thing."

[She already sees it, but he points anyway before skating alongside her as she walks to the booth.] Have you ever skated before? I have roller skates, but this is my first time on ice.

[Thankfully, skate rentals are free and there's a place she can put her shoes (where Yuya's awful pink ones are). He'll wait patiently for her to get herself fitted.]

That... still sounds all kinds of incorrect, but this isn't the time to argue about Joker's bad taste. "Yeah, I don't much like being 'like shit'," he replies dryly.

Then he blinks, taking a moment to decipher that gesture before standing up with a sigh and walking over to kneel down next to the tub.

Does he even want to know what Joker considers so important.

He nods, before leaning down beneath the table. He doesn't want to get in the fox kit's face, just wants to tell it that things are safe here. After a moment he moves off his seat, sitting under the table now, and reaching out to pet the fox again. He smiles when it doesn't shy away from his touch.

"He's letting me pet him."

Having Ginko come over from his world weary watch over a handful of dumbasses making a questionable life choice has Joker grin, lopsided and triumphant. Ha. Ha! He did it. Fondly, his wooden fingertips tap along the side of Ginko's jaw before curling up as softly as possible into that white hair of his. Joker's fingers are strange, hard wood that's twisted and warped in the strange natural way rather than anything handled by man, and they're still soft in a way that allows them to be gentle and flexible sometimes.

"Yer good," he mutters, the words slurring into each other ever so slightly. "Always- ya work hard. Yer always workin' hard. And bein' good ta people. S'good. Yer good. Ya deserve good stuff ta happen, and be sleepin'."

"He is?" That's exciting, and Lauren seems pleased, so that makes Susan smile too, and he sits down a bit away from them, watching from a few feet away. He doesn't want to get in their way as Lauren makes friends, but he still wants to be here.

[sarcaskick]

Really? That's what we're starting with?

[ A roll of his eyes - and a shot downed in one quick gulp. ]

So tame... I'm just lucky it's not a shot for every time.

Yeah... I mean I've kicked people off of things, moving cars, bridges, so on... somehow never a roof.

He doesn't even notice, just continuing to talk with their new pet and occasionally pet him. His moss is soft, almost like fur, but its cool to the touch. It's tail vines move together, most of the time, but sometimes independently, one shifting to tangle more around the others. It's amazing. Lauren's never seen anything like it.
