The journey to the moon only takes a blink of an eye, but it leaves the carnival far away beneath you. The second moon can be seen on the peripheral, massive compared to its usual view. At least when the holidays start out, there will be no notable wildlife on the moon, though this is something you can talk to the Ringmaster about if you think it needs a change. It sounds like this is the first time she's used it in quite a while - it probably needs some dusting off!

Claim your cabins, and proceed to... well, do whatever you want! There is no rush and little obligation, besides to enjoy yourself. For real, this time. She promises there will be no vampires. Or, at least, none that don't already work for the carnival.

► CABINS: Living arrangements are character choice for this event, and there are a variety of cabins of various sizes, mostly built to house 2-6 people, though you can fit more in if you squish. They are all made of wood and of a rustic design - no fancy modern furniture, here! Each building is housed with a fireplace and the needed amenities. You can pick up materials to cook with the private kitchens if you like. Theoretically, you could spend the whole holiday sequestered away, watching the snow fall. Some of them also have outdoor hot tubs available!

► ACTIVITIES: Activities are mostly going to be character driven, though there will be some large group games like bingo and maybe a poker tournament happening at some point in one of the festival halls. Otherwise, there is a lot to offer: skiing, snowboarding, hiking, ice sculpting, snowball fights - it goes on! If you'd like to run a winter activity, just let the mods know, and we will get the word out there for you.

► FEASTING: Every day isn't a full-out feast because that would get a bit unhealthy, but there will be a number of specific feast events over the holidays where everyone is encouraged to let out their inner hedonist and stuff themselves. There will be one big feast per week, with smaller but also delicious meals offered in between. The feast dates will be B12, B18, and B24. There's also plenty of alcohol available for anyone who wants it.

► SHOPPING: As mentioned in the planning post, there is a massive market being run by the World Walker Caravan! The Ringmaster has given everyone 1250 credits to spend on items, but there is a caveat - must spend at least 500 of those credits on gifts for other people. And it better be a good one, if you only buy one! (She will ask that you do not buy her presents, however. She appreciates the sentiment, but it seems sort of silly buying her things with her own money! If you'd like to gift her, please have it be something more personal or handmade, but you are not obligated to get her anything at all.)

► TREATMENTS: The beginning of the holidays will also be about the time that the emergency Medical Team will have finalized their treatments for the Prince's poisoning. Watch out for further information on that - and make sure to get treated if you are suffering from petrification or poison induced illness! The holidays will be a lot more fun that way.

Susan looks to the box when he hears the fox scratching, and then Lauren is opening it and he looks expectantly at his brother as he looks in to see the little animal. He isn't sure what Lauren is thinking, especially when it makes a noise at him and his brother just looks surprised.

"...Lauren?" Does he like it...?

He reaches down towards the animal, as though to pet it, and the fox presses itself even further against the bottom of the box to avoid the hand coming into contact with it's mossy fur. Lauren frowns, but he doesn't look unhappy. Actually he only has two thoughts going through his head, the first is that he hopes this animal wasn't stolen away from anywhere, and the second that it's really freaking cute whatever it is.

"Where did you get this?"

"It was for sale, at the market..." Susan is frowning, now, especially as he sees Lauren's own frown. He's still not exactly sure of his brother's feelings on this, and although he doesn't really seem angry, or even upset, he still is a little uncertain if Lauren likes it or is going to lecture him.

He reaches for the box, picking it up before sitting it on the ground under the table. Sometimes animals liked finding somewhere "safe" to hide in when they were in a new place they didn't know yet. He hoped that would help the fox feel more at home.

"Did they tell you how they got it?"

He shakes his head, watching as Lauren carefully gives the little fox a "cave" kind of place to hide. It's a good idea, he hopes it works for it...

"They didn't say. I knew you'd be able to take good care of it, though, 'cause of the plants, and everything. So that way it can be safe."

He looks touched by the response, but it's only their for a second before his concern from a moment ago is back. He does like the gift, though it doesn't occur to him to say it, but right now his concern for the creature outweighs his happiness at receiving the gift.

"It looked scared." He doesn't like that. He hoped it was just the result of being somewhere unfamiliar. "I should talk to it."

Of course Lauren not voicing that just has Susan continuing to worry in the back of his head that Lauren doesn't like it, but he doesn't say that right now. Instead he'll just focus on the fox itself, and he can worry about the rest later.

"That might be a good idea! Then you can tell it not to be scared, and that kind of thing."

He nods, before leaning down beneath the table. He doesn't want to get in the fox kit's face, just wants to tell it that things are safe here. After a moment he moves off his seat, sitting under the table now, and reaching out to pet the fox again. He smiles when it doesn't shy away from his touch.

"He's letting me pet him."

"He is?" That's exciting, and Lauren seems pleased, so that makes Susan smile too, and he sits down a bit away from them, watching from a few feet away. He doesn't want to get in their way as Lauren makes friends, but he still wants to be here.

He doesn't even notice, just continuing to talk with their new pet and occasionally pet him. His moss is soft, almost like fur, but its cool to the touch. It's tail vines move together, most of the time, but sometimes independently, one shifting to tangle more around the others. It's amazing. Lauren's never seen anything like it.

"Thank you."

Susan is happy to just watch them, honestly, happy he could find something good and also help make sure a strange little animal got a good home. He smiles when Lauren thanks him.

"You like it, then?" He'd figured that by now, but it's still nice to hear it. He's glad he picked so well for his brother.

"Yes." He didn't think he even really needed to say so, but he did appreciate the gift.

"We'll need to think of a name for him."

"He's your pet, you should name him." Susan would be living with him of course, but in the end it's still 100% Lauren's pet, not his.

"Maybe Stanley has some ideas, though... Or Fluff."

He laughs before backing up a bit to give the kit some space.

"Does Fluff have any ideas?"

He pauses for a second as he asks her, the cat only barely looking up from where she is before laying back down again as Susan frowns.

"She says she'd rather sleep."

He laughs again, before standing and moving to sit beside Susan instead.

"Guess it's up to us think of something instead."

Susan happily leans against Lauren once he's sitting next to him, watching the box from their spot to see if the little fox comes out.

"Well... Is it a boy?" Lauren said he, so he's guessing it is, but he wants to be sure.

He nods, scratching his chin as he tries to think of something.

"Not Moss, but maybe something like it."

So something naturey, then. Susan is quiet as he thinks about it for a moment.

"Maybe something like... Fern?" It's maybe not really related to moss, but it sounds cute as a name he thinks. "Or... Ivy, or maybe you could name it after an herb or something?"

"Ivy..." He says, testing the name. It's tail was made up of vines. They didn't have the leaves typical of an ivy plant, but that didn't make the name a bad fit. He smiles, nodding.

"I like it. Ivy."

He can't help but smile when Lauren likes his suggestion.

"I like it too! Do you think he will?"
