MOON WALKING↴ The journey to the moon only takes a blink of an eye, but it leaves the carnival far away beneath you. The second moon can be seen on the peripheral, massive compared to its usual view. At least when the holidays start out, there will be no notable wildlife on the moon, though this is something you can talk to the Ringmaster about if you think it needs a change. It sounds like this is the first time she's used it in quite a while - it probably needs some dusting off! Claim your cabins, and proceed to... well, do whatever you want! There is no rush and little obligation, besides to enjoy yourself. For real, this time. She promises there will be no vampires. Or, at least, none that don't already work for the carnival. ► CABINS: Living arrangements are character choice for this event, and there are a variety of cabins of various sizes, mostly built to house 2-6 people, though you can fit more in if you squish. They are all made of wood and of a rustic design - no fancy modern furniture, here! Each building is housed with a fireplace and the needed amenities. You can pick up materials to cook with the private kitchens if you like. Theoretically, you could spend the whole holiday sequestered away, watching the snow fall. Some of them also have outdoor hot tubs available! ► ACTIVITIES: Activities are mostly going to be character driven, though there will be some large group games like bingo and maybe a poker tournament happening at some point in one of the festival halls. Otherwise, there is a lot to offer: skiing, snowboarding, hiking, ice sculpting, snowball fights - it goes on! If you'd like to run a winter activity, just let the mods know, and we will get the word out there for you. ► FEASTING: Every day isn't a full-out feast because that would get a bit unhealthy, but there will be a number of specific feast events over the holidays where everyone is encouraged to let out their inner hedonist and stuff themselves. There will be one big feast per week, with smaller but also delicious meals offered in between. The feast dates will be B12, B18, and B24. There's also plenty of alcohol available for anyone who wants it. ► SHOPPING: As mentioned in the planning post, there is a massive market being run by the World Walker Caravan! The Ringmaster has given everyone 1250 credits to spend on items, but there is a caveat - must spend at least 500 of those credits on gifts for other people. And it better be a good one, if you only buy one! (She will ask that you do not buy her presents, however. She appreciates the sentiment, but it seems sort of silly buying her things with her own money! If you'd like to gift her, please have it be something more personal or handmade, but you are not obligated to get her anything at all.) ► TREATMENTS: The beginning of the holidays will also be about the time that the emergency Medical Team will have finalized their treatments for the Prince's poisoning. Watch out for further information on that - and make sure to get treated if you are suffering from petrification or poison induced illness! The holidays will be a lot more fun that way.

[ Strange stops the snowball assault as he walks a bit closer to Yuya. ]

There were plenty of other factors to make the other spell easier to cast than this one. Portland was a...unique situation. [ putting it mildly. ] Likewise, the thing about the barrier spell is that you're trying to put it up quick.

Perhaps you should try to cast the spell again without snowballs.

Cole mulls it over...before sure. Why not. It'll make Yuya happy and he does want to try new things, even if Cole's worried about them in the first place.

"Alright," he says with a nod. "Let's go skiing?"

Is that the right word to use?

Floor seat works. Rita simply crosses her legs and makes herself more comfortable.

She shakes her head at his concerns, the motion a bit more aggressive than it normally would be for her. "It's nothing. A temporary side effect. Don't worry so much." Her motor functions look impaired? Psh.

"Hey..." she adds after a moment, "Can we talk for a bit?"

Yeah... there's a way. [Rita reaches a hand under her scarf, feeling her blastia with her fingertips. To her credit, she seems to be keeping her balance all right now.]

We'd have to stop using the blastia.

"Huh? Wait, these are..." Rita starts turning the items over in her hands, getting a good look at them. She was looking at these before, when she visited the market... they all looked like things she could use in her research. The technology behind them seemed fascinating, too... He even picked the camera in a color she likes.

"Th, thanks..." she ends up mumbling, unsure of how to really express her gratitude. This was really thoughtful of him...

"--Right, I got something for you too," she quickly adds. Rita's not familiar with this kind of tradition, but the gift-giving thing is supposed to be a sort of exchange, right? So maybe that's what she can do. "I'll go get it." Rita steps away to go search under one of the beds, where she stashed some belongings. She remains in earshot of the others, though. She's kind of curious about what he got for Cole.

"Mmm, if you say so."

9S doesn't sound like he completely believes her, but this isn't something he'll argue the point with.

"We're talking now, aren't we?"

But he senses a slightly more serious air, so he settles down on the floor beside her, legs stretched out before him. The skin is still melted off his legs, but the other burns have since been repaired.

"What do you want to talk about?"

[hurtcomfort]

"She isn't. And she might not ever be. But you're still allowed to miss her."

Even after what he knows, what 9S knows 2B has done, he can still miss her. Which, 9S knows that, but perhaps it might be good to vocalize what he knows, to verify those thoughts in his head. Cole continues, after a pause.

"She deserved more."

[Oh.] You do? I thought you used it for everything... what are you going to replace it with?

[Electricity? Electricity doesn't attract dangerous monsters. But blastia is important to Rita, so he's not going to say that.]

9S is pleased Rita likes her gifts, even if she isn't very good at expressing it, so he can't quite keep his grin off his face. The fact that she got him something as well really makes him burn with curiosity. But he has to wait until she's back with her gift, so he answers Cole's question in the meantime.

"No, these plants aren't for eating. You said you can't eat, right? Instead of eating these, you smoke them. One of the bags is for you."

Yes, he got the spirit faerie weed.

[Yuya sits back on his feet and starts dusting snow out of his hair.] Yeah... okay, let's try it again.

[He's not going to let this beat him here. He gets back to his feet, dusting off more snow before he takes a deep breath, closes his eyes, and focuses. It didn't require any significant gestures in Portland, it probably doesn't know.

Of course, after a couple minutes, there still isn't a barrier.] ... Is it even doing anything?

[He can probably take a guess it was Rita, given he ran into her as well. But he's not going to ask, as it's probably something that doesn't need to be talked about anyway.]

If you're sure. [He doesn't know much about being an android, but sure, that makes sense enough? Machines can be repaired and probably hurt less. If he can even actually hurt at all.]

Do you want to come skate?

[ She's expecting it. And takes the shot, while she's at it. ]

Never have I ever... had curly hair!

Hm? [Syrlya looks over his shoulder, folding his arms to his chest before he stops and turns to face 9S. There isn't even any indication the cold is affecting him aside from his slightly sour look, but it eases when he sees the android.] Were you? What is it?

[And there it is, the last of the three feelings that most often radiate from the reptilian teen- confusion. Probably just because the inquiry was worded so oddly. It intermingles momentarily with his cheer and excitement, then comes along something else on the positive spectrum as Yugo moves to help up the small child.

Of course she would need help, he's more than happy to give it. Because it's adorable.]

Decent way to put it. Now we'll just have to see if you feeling the thrill isn't all me by the time we're done.

[Syrlya just raises a brow. Open-minded. Sure. Once he gets past the initial shock, maybe.

He turns to watch the rest of their roommates engaging in general partying and chatter.]

To be honest, I have a difficult time assessing your ages in your adult and adolescent years. [What's the difference between a teenager and Strange? Less than he thinks.]

Mnhh? [What, does he mean....his feelings?] ........Why wouldn't it be my feelings when I'm 'thrilled' though? [She questions, blinking around the other's shoulder as she sits on the bike.]

[chronosynthesis]

I see. That must be very fortunate for you. [Between 'sign up with the Ringmaster' and 'doomed' Syrlya sure knows which one he'd choose.]

I am Syrlya, one of the bouncers and mercenaries at the carnival. [He tilts his head politely.] Well met.

Yuya's lugging a big... something in his arms, half wrapped in his jacket because the paper started to tear. At least he has an actual coat to wear while on the moon. It takes him a circle around the cabin, but when he spots Clear Wing he makes an immediate dash.

"Yugo, hey!"

Reira, curiously, has an entirely different reaction to the blood-and that reaction is to blink, and ask- "....Did you make something come alive again, here?" she wonders, all while moving toward the bed that Flowey has pointed out. Her voice might seem a bit distant as a result, but whatever. "...I guess I can use the radio...."

Hmmm.

"....Is sinking into a pillow comfy?" she asks the flower, eyebrows raised.

[wilt]

I'm a bouncer too! Haven't actually gotten to work as one, yet, but I'm pretty excited for it.

[ His voice is flat. His boss is someone who views him as his worst enemy, maybe second to the fallen child. ]

And... kid's entertainment? Yeah.

[otoko]

Does it strike you as a matter to take lightly? [he replies. He wasn't even aggressing, just trying to note the Ringmaster was, in fact...being merciful. Careful.

Caring, perhaps.] I, the man Gongenzaka, can only take my word for it. From my own place, regardless of what I know, I, the man Gongenzaka, am at least glad the Ringmaster opted to give you that opportunity instead of thrusting emotion all at once.

[Now, lets sip some hot chocolate-] ...It is, despite things, good to meet you, as it is.

[Yugo's just going to ignore that because less talk and more riding.]

Hold onto me tight because this thing can go from zero to 60 faster than you can say D-Wheel!

[He gives her a moment to do so, test his words, or both. Then revs the bike and-]

*NYOOOM*

HhhHH-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH-!! [The shout is, fortunately, more a surprise deal. She's quickly calmed and gone back to 'woah-!' and then Silence, looking around them with wide-eyed curiosity as they drive. Woah.]

Ahh, I see. [No judgement here Yuuya, though he does smile a bit wider.] Mnh....try to be careful though, aah? I, the man Gongenzaka, cannot be sure if any branches may have worked in near the roots yet....

[Loose braid will probably be best then.]

I'll be careful! [Or at least as careful as he usually is, but Yuya doesn't care so much about minor scratches. He's definitely bruised himself worse dueling.

He's gentle with parting Gongenzaka's hair, untangling a couple loose leaves before he plaits it down in a quickly, loose braid. Nothing fancy, but it's even enough and it works to keep Gongenzaka's hair organized and out of his face.]

There you go. [He ties it off with the rubber band before leaning back.] I think your hair is even longer than Yuzu's now.

[It was probably always longer than Yuzu's, but it's hard to tell when he styles it.]
