The journey to the moon only takes a blink of an eye, but it leaves the carnival far away beneath you. The second moon can be seen on the peripheral, massive compared to its usual view. At least when the holidays start out, there will be no notable wildlife on the moon, though this is something you can talk to the Ringmaster about if you think it needs a change. It sounds like this is the first time she's used it in quite a while - it probably needs some dusting off!

Claim your cabins, and proceed to... well, do whatever you want! There is no rush and little obligation, besides to enjoy yourself. For real, this time. She promises there will be no vampires. Or, at least, none that don't already work for the carnival.

► CABINS: Living arrangements are character choice for this event, and there are a variety of cabins of various sizes, mostly built to house 2-6 people, though you can fit more in if you squish. They are all made of wood and of a rustic design - no fancy modern furniture, here! Each building is housed with a fireplace and the needed amenities. You can pick up materials to cook with the private kitchens if you like. Theoretically, you could spend the whole holiday sequestered away, watching the snow fall. Some of them also have outdoor hot tubs available!

► ACTIVITIES: Activities are mostly going to be character driven, though there will be some large group games like bingo and maybe a poker tournament happening at some point in one of the festival halls. Otherwise, there is a lot to offer: skiing, snowboarding, hiking, ice sculpting, snowball fights - it goes on! If you'd like to run a winter activity, just let the mods know, and we will get the word out there for you.

► FEASTING: Every day isn't a full-out feast because that would get a bit unhealthy, but there will be a number of specific feast events over the holidays where everyone is encouraged to let out their inner hedonist and stuff themselves. There will be one big feast per week, with smaller but also delicious meals offered in between. The feast dates will be B12, B18, and B24. There's also plenty of alcohol available for anyone who wants it.

► SHOPPING: As mentioned in the planning post, there is a massive market being run by the World Walker Caravan! The Ringmaster has given everyone 1250 credits to spend on items, but there is a caveat - must spend at least 500 of those credits on gifts for other people. And it better be a good one, if you only buy one! (She will ask that you do not buy her presents, however. She appreciates the sentiment, but it seems sort of silly buying her things with her own money! If you'd like to gift her, please have it be something more personal or handmade, but you are not obligated to get her anything at all.)

► TREATMENTS: The beginning of the holidays will also be about the time that the emergency Medical Team will have finalized their treatments for the Prince's poisoning. Watch out for further information on that - and make sure to get treated if you are suffering from petrification or poison induced illness! The holidays will be a lot more fun that way.

Changes (Before the trip)

Yuzu still felt like crap. She was recovering from what she witnessed with the Prince, but she still felt angry and helpless. However, she felt even stranger this morning. Oh, what with her jaw feeling a little more heavier and her ears feeling weird. Staggering to the bathroom, she finally saw what was going on - a set of fangs in her mouth and her ears having grown out.

The next sound heard is one of pure panic. "WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE?!"

Arrival

"...Coat. I need a coat! Something warm!"

The moon. She was one the moon. Or a moon. With snow on it. It was cold and freaky and how could this day get even more stranger?! It was days like this that she wished she could have gotten better clothes. There's only so much a short skirt, sleeveless blouse and stockings can keep warm.

"I would do anything for a large coat!"

Shopping

Christmas was coming up, wasn't it? Gosh, it didn't feel like that back at Maiami and yet here they were, hunting down gifts. Of course, she couldn't help but be a bit selfish to herself. After the whole deal with the Prince, she wanted to protect herself no matter what, thus she found herself modeling over what was referred to as "Tron Armor". It seemed pretty neat - armor that used hard light holograms, kinda like with Action Duels.

And, it was quite warm, too, so there was a plus to that. But, the price tag...

"Sheesh, that's a little on the expensive side, isn't it?" Yuzu mused.

It's rude to overhear but sometimes you've got to. Julien pauses, then walks faster towards the girl, crunching snow underfoot. "Hey! Hey, I'm with Wardrobe. Why don't you head back with me? We can get you kitted out for this weather and you won't even need to pay anything."

He's got a buttoned-down pea coat and cute chunky boots and a colorful scarf and earmuffs and fuzzy spider legs framing his face, he looks much happier out here. "You can pick out whatever you like, it's our job to outfit you! I'm as much in the makeup-and-hair business as clothing, but honestly, I can still give you stuff."

"R-Really?" Yuzu said, surprised. She didn't mind him overhearing her. In fact, with what he said, she was really grateful for the assistance! "I'm going to be quite honest, I didn't think I could! I mean, I'm just a cashier!"

He grins and starts back towards the portal, turning his head back to see if she's following. The poisoning is making him a little bit dizzy, but he powers through it for now. "Well, no one's really getting paid. This is a socialist something-topia! We all get our needs met and spending money for the outside world, regardless of what we're assigned to do."

"I mean, the Supervisors get bigger trailers they don't have to share in exchange for more responsibilities, I guess, but that's as far as it goes. You can definitely get a few different outfits provided for you no questions asked, if they're not particularly special."

"Oh, huh. I never realized that. Then again, my first few months here have been trying to handle problems from home." Yuzu said, shrugging her shoulders a bit as she followed Julien. "I've been so distracted by all of that it's... well... slipped my mind."

"Eh, that's how it goes, huh? Things get busy. I've been here less than three months and it feels like I can't judge how long it's been at all." Turning again seemed like a bad idea with his balance being uncertain, so he started manifesting a couple of spectral eyes outlined in white light, floating in the air like that's no big deal.

Going through the portal, into warmer air and completely different lighting, hit at just the right time to reinforce the poison's unsteady feeling, making a wave of disorientation wash over Julien. He stepped out of the way and swayed in place, pressing his pedipalps to his mouth as snowflakes on his clothing melted. Give him a second.

Woah, that’s not good at all! Yuzu runs up to Julien in concern.

“Hey, are you okay?” Yuzu said. “If you’re not feeling well, maybe just staying here would be for the best!”

He smiled lopsidedly at her, unwilling to let on how frustrating his continued weakness is to him.

"I'm all right. Little bit poisoned, but if I don't run around it's not a big deal. The sudden change in temperature and all just doesn't agree with my head, you know? I can still show you some stuff."

Appearing out of nowhere like a Bond villain, Junko puts her hand behind her ear as if she were listening for something she didn't quite hear.

"Someone would do anything for a large coat? You're in luck! I can make one quick as lightning and all I need is an itty bitty favor, sweetheart. I'm on the tailoring team so satisfaction guaranteed."

Despite this, Junko isn't wearing a coat? To freeze is to suffer, so she's all about that.

"Ah, just a favor?" Yuzu said, blinking as Junko appeared. Why wasn't she wearing a coat? How could she handle this? And why does she give this vibe of foreboding?

"Uh... s-sure, I don't mind. Can't be anything TOO bad, right?"

Oh, poor, innocent Yuzu...

"For armor? It appears to be, if anything, the average for well made product here, I've noticed," Gongenzaka starts aloud. Unfortunately, this is probably the worst way to approach Yuzu. From behind, without warning....Ah.

Well regardless-the one-armed giant looks down with his uncovered eye, his hair bundled up by Yuuya in a handy braid to be tucked away under the headband for now. "Are you considering it for someone?" he asks, quietly wondering if it would be worth it for Yuuya. The trouble with armor was it was only useful while wearing it though....and when would Yuuya be PREPARED...?

"WOAH! WATCH-- O-Oh, Gongenzaka..." Yuzu said, calming down and THANKFULLY not trying to hit him with anything.

"Honestly, I'm considering it for myself. After what happened back with the Prince, I want to be prepared somewhat..." she admitted.

The beast startles as well, fur and leaves raising and rustling. "Au-auh!! F-forgive me for the shock, Yuzu..!" IT WAS AN ACCIDENT- though at least she's over it quick. At her words, he blinks.

"Hmm!? Is that so?" He questions, despite not entirely being surprised. Yuzu was not one to sit out of things after all, not when it affected her inner circle. She was also, however, abundantly more pragmatic about how to do it.

....albeit hot headed and a bit reckless with the charge on top of things. Regardless, Gongenzaka hums to himself, leaning over to peer at it. "Hmm....armor such as this, it would be lightweight, and useful even as costume, as well as armor.... ....Given the cost, and what I, the man Gongenzaka have looked into as well....it could defend against even nonphysical attack, for that matter..."

And, combined with the ring he has wrapped for her already...

"....if you feel you have enough, I, the man Gongenzaka would say...it would be a good investment, in fact."

Yuzu blinks and smiles at that, surprised at Gongenzaka’s endorsement. “You really think so? Oh, I’m so glad! I was worried I was going to go a bit overboard with such a thing!”

"Hmn! If anything, you are ahead of things," he snorts, huffing. "Too many thus far have underestimated the potential dangers surrounding the Carnival.... ...it may not intentionally draw harm, but even peaceful realms may have their own wildlife threats...." Hoof.

That said. "Hmnn. If you are worried however...perhaps you should keep a budget record of those you intend to purchase gifts for, given the Ringmaster's request?"

"That... yeah, that sounds like a good idea. Don't want to go overboard." Yuzu said, nodding. Try to go easy and cheap should be the best way to handle things, right?

"Exactly! ...When you do buy for yourself however, make certain that what you purchase fits, and feels, proper," he adds, serious. After all-without that much, no armor or weapon would be doing what Yuzu requires of it.

Yuya is super curious what Yuzu is looking at buying, so he slides up next to her and leans over to peer at the armor--and the price tag. He doesn't have any bags in his hand this time, but he's been back and forth over a few days to the market as he comes up with ideas and tries to make sense of his gift list.

"That one?" He points it out. "I guess, but it is pretty cool... who's it for?"

Yuzu jumped just a bit at Yuya’s arrival. It was a good thing she wasn’t getting her real gifts!

“Who...? Well, me, honestly.” She admitted. “After the whole thing with the Prince, I don’t want to be caught unaware again.”

Yuya looks a little surprised to hear that. Yuzu wants armor? He supposes that makes sense, and it's not exactly the wardrobe department's job to arm everyone...

"Because you'd be a lot safer with armor, right? You should get it, then," he says after a moment. "Or something similar if it's too expensive."

He has no idea she's buying a sword, too.

"Exactly. Just... that whole thing with the Prince rubbed me the wrong way terribly..." she admitted. "I can't be sure of anything else right now..."

That's right... Yuya rubs the back of his head, looking ashamed. "Sorry I didn't give you a better warning. The last time things got dangerous it... wasn't like this. I underestimated what he'd do."

They all did, probably. Including the Ringmaster. "I'm really glad you didn't get hurt."

Like literally everyone else from their home did, Yuya included.

"Well... it's over now." Yuzu admitted. "Maybe we shouldn't try to dwell on such things for now, hm?"

Yuya nods. "Yeah, the Ringmaster brought us here so we could relax..." He could talk to Yuzu about this later, after their nerves were less frayed. They're safe right now.

So he hikes a genuine smile back up. "And she gave us a lot of money to buy gifts with. Let's look for something for our friends together."
