MOON WALKING↴

The journey to the moon only takes a blink of an eye, but it leaves the carnival far away beneath you. The second moon can be seen on the peripheral, massive compared to its usual view. At least when the holidays start out, there will be no notable wildlife on the moon, though this is something you can talk to the Ringmaster about if you think it needs a change. It sounds like this is the first time she's used it in quite a while - it probably needs some dusting off!

Claim your cabins, and proceed to... well, do whatever you want! There is no rush and little obligation, besides to enjoy yourself. For real, this time. She promises there will be no vampires. Or, at least, none that don't already work for the carnival.

► CABINS: Living arrangements are character choice for this event, and there are a variety of cabins of various sizes, mostly built to house 2-6 people, though you can fit more in if you squish. They are all made of wood and of a rustic design - no fancy modern furniture, here! Each building is housed with a fireplace and the needed amenities. You can pick up materials to cook with the private kitchens if you like. Theoretically, you could spend the whole holiday sequestered away, watching the snow fall. Some of them also have outdoor hot tubs available!

► ACTIVITIES: Activities are mostly going to be character driven, though there will be some large group games like bingo and maybe a poker tournament happening at some point in one of the festival halls. Otherwise, there is a lot to offer: skiing, snowboarding, hiking, ice sculpting, snowball fights - it goes on! If you'd like to run a winter activity, just let the mods know, and we will get the word out there for you.

► FEASTING: Every day isn't a full-out feast because that would get a bit unhealthy, but there will be a number of specific feast events over the holidays where everyone is encouraged to let out their inner hedonist and stuff themselves. There will be one big feast per week, with smaller but also delicious meals offered in between. The feast dates will be B12, B18, and B24. There's also plenty of alcohol available for anyone who wants it.

► SHOPPING: As mentioned in the planning post, there is a massive market being run by the World Walker Caravan! The Ringmaster has given everyone 1250 credits to spend on items, but there is a caveat - must spend at least 500 of those credits on gifts for other people. And it better be a good one, if you only buy one! (She will ask that you do not buy her presents, however. She appreciates the sentiment, but it seems sort of silly buying her things with her own money! If you'd like to gift her, please have it be something more personal or handmade, but you are not obligated to get her anything at all.)

► TREATMENTS: The beginning of the holidays will also be about the time that the emergency Medical Team will have finalized their treatments for the Prince's poisoning. Watch out for further information on that - and make sure to get treated if you are suffering from petrification or poison induced illness! The holidays will be a lot more fun that way.

Gently, he places the bottles down and takes the package from Yuuya, opening it up carefully.] Mnhh....and what is...

[He pulls out what some could perhaps mistake for ribbons. Yet as he holds them in his fingers, even drunken haze cannot blind him from what they are. Slowly, he looks to them-before his ears move upward in amazment, his eyes wide and moving toward Yuuya himself.

This is probably Yuuya's only warning before the inevitable.] Y...Yuuya...

....Yuuya, these are...are....

[Here come the water works.] Mnh....ghk....HAUUUUHHHHHH-!!

[And the chiropractor appointments.] SH- SUCH A GIFT...!! Such a truly thi...Thoughtful gift, I, the man Gongenzaka, am honn....honored, indeed..!!

[This would potentially be more coherent-well, it Would be more coherent-if he were thinking straight, probably. There is no mistaking the lunge for a hug though.]

[Inside the wrapping is a sash and headband (although, curiously, the headband is a little shorter than Gon would normally wear. The stitching is well done, thanks to Carly, but the fabric itself... it's soft but thick, a sort of grainy deep grey-blue color. It almost looks like stone, the way some of the pattern mimics cracks to a hyper-realistic degree. Between the cracks, however, a steely blue glows against the fabric. Literally glows.

On the front of both is very simple, straight stitching that spells out the kanji for 'steadfast'.

Yuya stares as Gongenzaka open the package--in part, because it's taking a lot of effort to focus right now, and in part he's a little nervous. Not that he thinks Gongenzaka would reject his gift, but Gon's sashes are something with a lot of sentimentality to them, and are deeply important to his dojo.

So he's happy, really happy when Gongenzaka receives them so well. His back, however, is less happy and Yuya lets out a pitiful wheeze as he's grabbed into another crushing embrace.]

Y... you're welcome... [But please, let him breathe.]

[It is truly beautiful fabric-and perhaps in his right mind he'd ask where he'd gotten it, how it was doing this, and so on. But instead he holds the other close, loosening that hold only to rub his face against the other's cheek in a manner that his friend no doubt finds quite familiar.]

Nhhh.... This.... ...I, the man Gongenzaka...Must now UNDOUBTEDLY find you the greatest gift..! Something truly wonderful, for you..!

[The problem is really that it ticked when Gongenzaka does that now that he's covered in fur, but his chest isn't being squeezed anymore.

Gon's already declaring to find him the greatest gift, however, and he smiles. Yuya uses what room he has to shift up, throwing his arms around Gon's neck to hug him in turn (this position seems to encourage less squishing).]

If it's from you, it definitely will be. [He's genuine about that. A gift is a gift, and Gongenzaka isn't frivolous.] I have... way more to be thanking you for anyway.

[He'll just have to deal with tickles, evidently. At least it's not going to be itchy. Just awkwardly soft which someone's face should probably not be.] More? [Gongenzaka questions, voice still somewhat slurred. He draws back, clumsily gathering his new things together for their own safety.]

...I, the man Gongenzaka, would not say that...

[It's kind of like cuddling En. He doesn't see Gon as really dog-like at all, but it's hard to miss some similarities.

He looks up when Gon pulls back, blinking slowly as he belatedly registers his protest.]

Eh? But I owe you a lot! [Yuya pats his hand against Gon's shoulder, the action taking up the silence Yuya needs to gather his words.] You... you protected me, and you decided to be my friend. You got me most of my duels for the championship and you always push me to be better...

[He smiles, his gaze wandering briefly as the alcohol fights his ability to focus.] I dunno where I'd be without you.

AUH....That sort of thing, that is merely what a friend should do..! [He insists, shaking his head.] You.... ...You do...many things, that could be called the same... ...Y...you...

[He...seems to be fading a bit, on the coherency.] ...without you....I, the man Gongnezaka...would probably also, be lost....

Lost? [He stares for a moment, confused. Even if his mind wasn't addled he's not sure what Gongenzaka is referring to. Yuya always felt he was the weaker, less certain one--the one his friends helped up with their strength, and he was only returning the favor of his own conviction. It was unconditional, after all, their friendship.

Even now, most of the trouble has been physical. When was Gon ever lost?]

[Yuya stares up at Gon expectantly. If he wasn't there... what? What?!

Did he really fall asleep sitting up?] H--hey! Wake up! [Yuya tries shaking his arm to rouse him. What did he say about not falling sleep yet!] Gongenzaka--!

[Whine whine.]

[NOPE. SLEEP TIMES NOW YUUYA.

That said-the pulling is probably Unwise.

Actually, the pulling is Extremely Unwise, since now Gongenzaka is simply keeling over, in Yuuya's direction, and...Ah.

Well, this is your life now Yuuya, being stuck, under his shoulder and arm and everything. He doesn't make the rules, he's just sleeping.]

[Yuya chokes on a sound as Gon leans closer, closer, and only then does he realize his mistakes. He's knocked to the ground with a wheeze, breathing deep for a moment to make sure he still can before he squirms and attempts to free himself.]

G-Gon--ugh. [He can't even turn around and he's dizzy from the alcohol. His expression twists in frustration as he stares at the ceiling.

But honestly, Gongenzaka is warm. Especially against the cold they're letting in because neither of them closed the door. There's a rug, so it's not the least comfortable place to be. And Yuya's been up all day, and it's late, and he's tired too.

So his struggles stop very quickly, and it's not long before he joins Gongenzaka in sleeping.]
