The journey to the moon only takes a blink of an eye, but it leaves the carnival far away beneath you. The second moon can be seen on the peripheral, massive compared to its usual view. At least when the holidays start out, there will be no notable wildlife on the moon, though this is something you can talk to the Ringmaster about if you think it needs a change. It sounds like this is the first time she's used it in quite a while - it probably needs some dusting off!

Claim your cabins, and proceed to... well, do whatever you want! There is no rush and little obligation, besides to enjoy yourself. For real, this time. She promises there will be no vampires. Or, at least, none that don't already work for the carnival.

► CABINS: Living arrangements are character choice for this event, and there are a variety of cabins of various sizes, mostly built to house 2-6 people, though you can fit more in if you squish. They are all made of wood and of a rustic design - no fancy modern furniture, here! Each building is housed with a fireplace and the needed amenities. You can pick up materials to cook with the private kitchens if you like. Theoretically, you could spend the whole holiday sequestered away, watching the snow fall. Some of them also have outdoor hot tubs available!

► ACTIVITIES: Activities are mostly going to be character driven, though there will be some large group games like bingo and maybe a poker tournament happening at some point in one of the festival halls. Otherwise, there is a lot to offer: skiing, snowboarding, hiking, ice sculpting, snowball fights - it goes on! If you'd like to run a winter activity, just let the mods know, and we will get the word out there for you.

► FEASTING: Every day isn't a full-out feast because that would get a bit unhealthy, but there will be a number of specific feast events over the holidays where everyone is encouraged to let out their inner hedonist and stuff themselves. There will be one big feast per week, with smaller but also delicious meals offered in between. The feast dates will be B12, B18, and B24. There's also plenty of alcohol available for anyone who wants it.

► SHOPPING: As mentioned in the planning post, there is a massive market being run by the World Walker Caravan! The Ringmaster has given everyone 1250 credits to spend on items, but there is a caveat - must spend at least 500 of those credits on gifts for other people. And it better be a good one, if you only buy one! (She will ask that you do not buy her presents, however. She appreciates the sentiment, but it seems sort of silly buying her things with her own money! If you'd like to gift her, please have it be something more personal or handmade, but you are not obligated to get her anything at all.)

► TREATMENTS: The beginning of the holidays will also be about the time that the emergency Medical Team will have finalized their treatments for the Prince's poisoning. Watch out for further information on that - and make sure to get treated if you are suffering from petrification or poison induced illness! The holidays will be a lot more fun that way.

Yuya nods and starts diggin deeper through the sleds. He hauls a larger one from the back, stumbling a bit as he rebalances himself. It'll be a bit tight, but they should be able to fit.

Yuya leans over to look around the sled with a grin. "Let's go! We'll set it right on top of the hill." He steps back out into the snow carefully, watching his steps before he haphazardly drops the shield on the ground right at the slope down.

He sits on it with his legs hanging over the front and gestures for Cole to come closer. "You can hold onto the handles, you'll have a way better grip that way."

As Yuya gestures for him to do so, Cole comes closer. He awkwardly sits behind Yuya, hands grabbing the handles. All of his actions are tentative and hesitant, like Cole isn't sure if he's doing the right thing or not.

"Like this?"

Yuya looks back, giving Cole a thumb's up. "You got it! Hold on tight, you don't want to fall off."

Yuya leans forward, precariously, and digs his fingers into the ground under the snow to pull them forward. It's a lot harder with two people, and takes him a minute, but that's why he put it so close to the edge of the hill.

Slowly, the sled tips forward, gaining gradual speed... and then rapid speed, faster and faster straight ahead down the incline.

What is this?! It's going so fast! Cole's never been this fast in his life except for when something knocks him back in a fight but even that isn't this fast. His already pale knuckles are turning snow white as he grips the edge of the sled as hard as he can, trying his hardest not to fall off.

He's going to stay on, he's going to stay on, he's got this, he can do this. Though, in the middle of Cole's worry, he discovers something interesting: sledding is fun. Huh. He didn't expect that.

Yuya, grips the sides of the sled, but not nearly as tightly. He leans forward, grinning widely and letting out a cry of excitement as they zip down the hill. The sled tips forward with his weight, but he doesn't even notice.

Until the front of the sled catches hard on a rock, flipping forward and throwing them over in an abrupt end to their frivolity. Yuya thuds face-first into the snow.

Cole's flung to the side, landing side-first in the snow. Well. That wasn't expected. He just lays there for a moment before deciding to actually get up.

Getting to his feet, Cole rubs at his shoulder. Unknown to him, he's totally going to wake up with a bruise there tomorrow morning. "That was fun at the start," he offers, with a little nod. Because hey, it definitely was. The start was nice, that hitting a rock and falling over part really wasn't.

Wipeout.

Yuya similarly lays in the snow for a moment before pushing himself up on his elbows and shaking the snow off his face. And then he laughs, rolling over to it as he looks over at Cole.

"Sorry, I guess it is harder to steer with two people." He moves to his feet to collect the sled. "You're okay, right?"

"I'm fine," Cole simply responds, as he moves his arm around, testing his shoulder. Yeah, he's fine, everything still works properly.

There's a pause while he looks at Yuya then looks at the sled, debating something. A moment or so later, he very tentatively asks, "Can we do that again?"

Without the crashing, of course. Because this was kind of fun and Cole did like it.

Yuya lights up when Cole asks that, glad that their crash didn't ruin Cole's impression of sledding. This should be fun.

"Yeah, of course!" He points up the hill with a wide grin before adjusting the sled in his arms. "Let's get back to the top, we'll get even further this time."

He'll wait for Cole to start up the hill before bounding up it himself.

There's an awkward pause because Cole's waiting for Yuya to start up the hill. Once he realizes what's going on, however, Cole starts to trudge back up the hill. He's moving carefully through the snow so the likelihood that Yuya beats him up the hill is pretty high.

Once they're up there, Cole just stands and waits, waiting for Yuya to set the sled down and sit down again. Because he's not steering, let's put the tiny person in front.

Yuya sets the sled in place, digging his heels into the snow to keep it still under him so Cole can get on.

He tilts his head back, grinning at Cole. "Is this your first time playing in the snow?"

He assumes it's not the first time Cole has seen snow. Snow's a common thing, right?

As Cole clambers on the sled, he gives Yuya a nod and a little, "Mmhmm. We traveled a lot. Place to place, fixing problems, saving others. Part of those places were snowy."

It's just said in a matter of fact tone. He's been to places where there's snow, even if Cole didn't exactly play or romp or sled while he was there.

"You mean like heroes?" Those sounds like hero things to do. Like in comic books and TV shows he'd watch, trying to make everyone's lives better. Though, despite that, it's not an idea that he connects to what he was doing with the Lancers. Of course he decided to help people, but a large part of his motivation there was selfish.

He waits for Cole to provide an answer before he'll send them down the hill again.

"We just did it because it was needed."

Cole doesn't know if he can call the Inquisition 'heroes.' They were just a group of people, brought and bound together to help fight Corypheus and save the land from destruction. Did that make them heroes? Or did that just make them people?

Still, any in-depth questions are going to wait as Yuya launches them down the hill again. Cole's gripping tight onto the sled and, though he doesn't yelp with joy or anything like that, the small grin on his face is a sign that he's enjoying this.
