MOON WALKING↴ The journey to the moon only takes a blink of an eye, but it leaves the carnival far away beneath you. The second moon can be seen on the peripheral, massive compared to its usual view. At least when the holidays start out, there will be no notable wildlife on the moon, though this is something you can talk to the Ringmaster about if you think it needs a change. It sounds like this is the first time she's used it in quite a while - it probably needs some dusting off! Claim your cabins, and proceed to... well, do whatever you want! There is no rush and little obligation, besides to enjoy yourself. For real, this time. She promises there will be no vampires. Or, at least, none that don't already work for the carnival. ► CABINS: Living arrangements are character choice for this event, and there are a variety of cabins of various sizes, mostly built to house 2-6 people, though you can fit more in if you squish. They are all made of wood and of a rustic design - no fancy modern furniture, here! Each building is housed with a fireplace and the needed amenities. You can pick up materials to cook with the private kitchens if you like. Theoretically, you could spend the whole holiday sequestered away, watching the snow fall. Some of them also have outdoor hot tubs available! ► ACTIVITIES: Activities are mostly going to be character driven, though there will be some large group games like bingo and maybe a poker tournament happening at some point in one of the festival halls. Otherwise, there is a lot to offer: skiing, snowboarding, hiking, ice sculpting, snowball fights - it goes on! If you'd like to run a winter activity, just let the mods know, and we will get the word out there for you. ► FEASTING: Every day isn't a full-out feast because that would get a bit unhealthy, but there will be a number of specific feast events over the holidays where everyone is encouraged to let out their inner hedonist and stuff themselves. There will be one big feast per week, with smaller but also delicious meals offered in between. The feast dates will be B12, B18, and B24. There's also plenty of alcohol available for anyone who wants it. ► SHOPPING: As mentioned in the planning post, there is a massive market being run by the World Walker Caravan! The Ringmaster has given everyone 1250 credits to spend on items, but there is a caveat - must spend at least 500 of those credits on gifts for other people. And it better be a good one, if you only buy one! (She will ask that you do not buy her presents, however. She appreciates the sentiment, but it seems sort of silly buying her things with her own money! If you'd like to gift her, please have it be something more personal or handmade, but you are not obligated to get her anything at all.) ► TREATMENTS: The beginning of the holidays will also be about the time that the emergency Medical Team will have finalized their treatments for the Prince's poisoning. Watch out for further information on that - and make sure to get treated if you are suffering from petrification or poison induced illness! The holidays will be a lot more fun that way.

[Carly is definitely not very ninja-like, especially when someone is specifically looking for her. In this case Susan has his arms full with a bag full of fabric, his cloak pulled tight around him to keep him warm. For once he even has the hood pulled up, although that's also for the benefit of his familiar, currently in owl form and snoozing on his shoulder under the hood.

When he sees Carly he smiles and waves at her, almost dropping the fabric in the process before catching himself.]

Carly!! Can you help me with something? It's really important!

H-HEUEEEEEH-! [One can tell that Carly is a little wound as she churns through christmas gifts, because in no ordinary circumstance should Anyone Ever react with that much surprise-

Still, there she is. Doing that. She quickly gathers her bearings, waving somewhat awkwardly to the boy.] AHHH...O-Of course~!

Well... I need help making a present, for someone. I could ask in the market, but... I thought I'd ask you first. Is that okay? [He realizes she might be busy, but... It's be more fun if he could get her to help him out with it, since he thinks of her as a friend and all.]

A present? [Hoh. Well, she nods, crossing her arms.] Of course~! I've already finished helping with another, even! It's sort of fun, being able to surprise more people like this...

I want to make a dress or something.

[He has no idea what he's doing though so by asking for "help" he may more be asking for her to "do it for him after he shows and tells her what he wants" but he can get to that part later and see what she thinks. Even if she says no she can at least help him figure out what he wants to ask in the market.]

....Well we definitely can't ask someone here then..! She gave us the money we'd be using, if that were the case..! Erm...

The next part that's important though is....making sure it's not somehow coming from her pocket, [Carly notes, grimacing.] ...I do buy a lot of things at other locations for reference.... ...so we could maybe piece something from that? Right... I know that she doesn't want to pay for it but I thought if we were making something it would be enough that it wouldn't count any more? But if we have other things it would be good. I have some shells we could use, maybe.

Well...it's sort of like.... ...In her eyes, it'd be like returning what she gave, probably.... [Hmmm.]

[She laughs, a little weakly.] Th...That isn't a lot....not for an outfit at least...

Yeah... I know, it's maybe not the best. I just want to give her something, as a present for the holiday and like... An apology present, I guess. I got some cool fabric, from the market, but I know that it's not the best idea.

An apology present? [It takes her a moment...but thinking back to the manor, and their last chat, Carly thinks she understands. Crossing her arms, she hums.] Well....

...What sorts of things can you do using magic, in that case..? Does...anything make 'material', or change it? [She only really knows about like, Fluff. And maybe fire.]

I can just light things on fire, mostly. Or do things that go away after a minute, like lights and stuff. I can't do any... enchantment kind of things.

...I had to just give up and plan a dance in the end.... [From that tone, she's...still not super sure about it.] It'll have lots of fire, and moving..!

Yeah... That's why I thought, if I bought something and made something from it it would work! But I don't know anything about making things, so... I guess it's a bad idea.

Yeah, from Atlantis. I might have other things, too... But mostly rocks and stuff. I could check my trailer, I keep them in the cold box.

Rocks and shells.... ...hmmm...it sounds like you have the sorts of things for jewelry at least...

[He perks up a little at that.]

Yeah? Do you think she'd like jewelry?

If it's flashy and made with love, definitely~! Everyone likes to decorate~!

The question just becomes....what kind of jewelry to make, and how, really. There's cord braiding, which we could probably do easy enough with my scraps...

[He thinks for a minute before continuing.]

[Hmmmm.] If you don't think so... ....maybe, the best way to show you mean it, is to do something that comes from the heart..!

So does she~! You could do something like what I'm doing, and use your fire magic to do something cool then!

I don't know... My magic isn't really something you can use like that. [It's more destructive, really.]

That's why I thought she might like the fabric, 'cause, it reminds me of fire. But I could try and think of something I could do with my magic instead. I just don't know if she'd like that. [Although at least she would know he wasn't going to attack her, since she put some kind of weird magic seal or something on him so he couldn't.]

Well, it's pretty much how fire is supposed to work, to be fair...it's really destructive! Magic fire especially, I'm pretty sure...

[But, with a grin-] But-!! But that doesn't mean it has to be...watch~!

[She puts her hands together-and then pulls apart, drawing a string of both her flames.] As long as nothing touches these....it's safe to look at, right?

...And all I have to do is decide to extinguish it to get rid of it. But more than that.... [She darts her hands to the side, sending the 'line' through the snow; the result is a melted trench, but....pretty clearly a line.] We're surrounded by the perfect art tool for it~!

And practice tool too. No one got hurt by melting snow~ [Carly, many people have been hurt by melting snow.]

Eh....

...Though.... ....you can just...stop the fire if you bring it out...right?

[He shakes his head, thinking of the best way to phrase it.]

I can't just make fire like that. My fire is more like... I can't just make it come out around me, it's just an attack, it makes the fire and it can burn things and stuff but at that point it isn't mine any more, it's real fire. So I can't just make it stop.
