MOON WALKING↴![]() The journey to the moon only takes a blink of an eye, but it leaves the carnival far away beneath you. The second moon can be seen on the peripheral, massive compared to its usual view. At least when the holidays start out, there will be no notable wildlife on the moon, though this is something you can talk to the Ringmaster about if you think it needs a change. It sounds like this is the first time she's used it in quite a while - it probably needs some dusting off! Claim your cabins, and proceed to... well, do whatever you want! There is no rush and little obligation, besides to enjoy yourself. For real, this time. She promises there will be no vampires. Or, at least, none that don't already work for the carnival. ► CABINS: Living arrangements are character choice for this event, and there are a variety of cabins of various sizes, mostly built to house 2-6 people, though you can fit more in if you squish. They are all made of wood and of a rustic design - no fancy modern furniture, here! Each building is housed with a fireplace and the needed amenities. You can pick up materials to cook with the private kitchens if you like. Theoretically, you could spend the whole holiday sequestered away, watching the snow fall. Some of them also have outdoor hot tubs available! ► ACTIVITIES: Activities are mostly going to be character driven, though there will be some large group games like bingo and maybe a poker tournament happening at some point in one of the festival halls. Otherwise, there is a lot to offer: skiing, snowboarding, hiking, ice sculpting, snowball fights - it goes on! If you'd like to run a winter activity, just let the mods know, and we will get the word out there for you. ► FEASTING: Every day isn't a full-out feast because that would get a bit unhealthy, but there will be a number of specific feast events over the holidays where everyone is encouraged to let out their inner hedonist and stuff themselves. There will be one big feast per week, with smaller but also delicious meals offered in between. The feast dates will be B12, B18, and B24. There's also plenty of alcohol available for anyone who wants it. ► SHOPPING: As mentioned in the planning post, there is a massive market being run by the World Walker Caravan! The Ringmaster has given everyone 1250 credits to spend on items, but there is a caveat - must spend at least 500 of those credits on gifts for other people. And it better be a good one, if you only buy one! (She will ask that you do not buy her presents, however. She appreciates the sentiment, but it seems sort of silly buying her things with her own money! If you'd like to gift her, please have it be something more personal or handmade, but you are not obligated to get her anything at all.) ► TREATMENTS: The beginning of the holidays will also be about the time that the emergency Medical Team will have finalized their treatments for the Prince's poisoning. Watch out for further information on that - and make sure to get treated if you are suffering from petrification or poison induced illness! The holidays will be a lot more fun that way. |

Is Lambert not a cat person? Maybe he's a dog person... or just a donkey person? Somehow he can't see Lambert keep fish at pets like so many androids do.
"If there's so many videos, doesn't that mean it's important?"
no subject
"It's important, but it's not that important. Just because I'm human doesn't mean I know how every human thinks -- and the humans in your world don't sound all that smart."
no subject
9S still hasn't looked inside the paperbag for the rest of his gift from Lambert.
"Besides, I only have information about the records us androids recovered. Everything else, we've either yet to recover or it was destroyed when mankind was nearly wiped out."
no subject
"Maybe all the smart humans were too busy making you instead of making stupid videos," Lambert says, grinning like the shithead he is. Satisfied to have provoked 9S, and he reaches out to ruffle his hair. "We're not all the same, you know. Humans barely understand each other." And he pauses, hand still stuck on 9S's head, as a puzzled expression crosses his face. Hold on...
"Humanity was almost wiped out? By what?"
no subject
Grumpily smoothing down his hair from where it was ruffled, he says, "White chlorination syndrome. It's a disease caused by exposure to maso particles, which is..." he pauses, awkward, given the Carnival's. Well. Everything. "...it's what you know as magic. The maso particles from another world killed my humans by turning them into salt."
The records on WCS are super old. He has the feeling he doesn't have the full picture on it -- just like everything else, really -- but unfortunately, he had other priorities to take care of before he can really dig into that.
"On top of that, the aliens invaded and took over Earth with their damned machines." Having nothing left to do with his hands, 9S finally peeks into the bag. "What's left of mankind after all that is living on the moon now."
no subject
Though the comment about the moon gets 9S a bit of a look. They are both currently on the moon right now, or at least the Carnival's version of it...
no subject
"Some records from the Old World." 9S pulls out the shirt from the bag, shaking it out so he can see the design properly. "And we don't have magic on Earth. Not the way you or Strange or Rita do."
He holds up the shirt and looks at Lambert, expression flat. "Really?"
no subject
But any further musing on that topic will have to wait in favor of giving 9S even more shit, when he sees that look.
"What? I thought it was funny. Doesn't your history teach you anything about the human sense of humor?"
no subject
And...
...There's a small part of him that's disappointed that his first T-Shirt isn't one he's bought together with 2B.
"No," he replies flatly. "That's why I'm here." 9S' gaze slides away, fingers curling in the shirt's fabric. His useless, useless contract. There's no point to it, now. "Us androids don't get to interact with humans much."
Sometimes, he wonders if the humans on the moon even care.
wow, i thought i replied to this but nope
"What was the point of making you, then, if they're not even around to look at you? Humans in your world sound like dicks."
how dare!!
The words are out of his mouth before he can stop them. 9S looks away, shame crawling through him after the outburst. They're not...
9S folds the T-Shirt back up and puts it back in the bag. "...They don't need to see us for us to do our job."
no subject
"Little hard for them to see if you're actually doing your job if they're not around, isn't it?" Although that does bring up a good question, one Lambert's not entirely sure if 9S has brought up before--
"You said androids were made to serve humans. Serve humans how?"
no subject
"I said Earth was taken over by machines, didn't I?"
They're not particularly smart, but they were strong, and multiplied quickly. For every android in existence, there may be hundreds of machines in comparison. And machines... they don't really die. Not with their network.
"Our duty is to exterminate the machines and prepare the Earth for humanity's glorious return."
