MOON WALKING↴![]() The journey to the moon only takes a blink of an eye, but it leaves the carnival far away beneath you. The second moon can be seen on the peripheral, massive compared to its usual view. At least when the holidays start out, there will be no notable wildlife on the moon, though this is something you can talk to the Ringmaster about if you think it needs a change. It sounds like this is the first time she's used it in quite a while - it probably needs some dusting off! Claim your cabins, and proceed to... well, do whatever you want! There is no rush and little obligation, besides to enjoy yourself. For real, this time. She promises there will be no vampires. Or, at least, none that don't already work for the carnival. ► CABINS: Living arrangements are character choice for this event, and there are a variety of cabins of various sizes, mostly built to house 2-6 people, though you can fit more in if you squish. They are all made of wood and of a rustic design - no fancy modern furniture, here! Each building is housed with a fireplace and the needed amenities. You can pick up materials to cook with the private kitchens if you like. Theoretically, you could spend the whole holiday sequestered away, watching the snow fall. Some of them also have outdoor hot tubs available! ► ACTIVITIES: Activities are mostly going to be character driven, though there will be some large group games like bingo and maybe a poker tournament happening at some point in one of the festival halls. Otherwise, there is a lot to offer: skiing, snowboarding, hiking, ice sculpting, snowball fights - it goes on! If you'd like to run a winter activity, just let the mods know, and we will get the word out there for you. ► FEASTING: Every day isn't a full-out feast because that would get a bit unhealthy, but there will be a number of specific feast events over the holidays where everyone is encouraged to let out their inner hedonist and stuff themselves. There will be one big feast per week, with smaller but also delicious meals offered in between. The feast dates will be B12, B18, and B24. There's also plenty of alcohol available for anyone who wants it. ► SHOPPING: As mentioned in the planning post, there is a massive market being run by the World Walker Caravan! The Ringmaster has given everyone 1250 credits to spend on items, but there is a caveat - must spend at least 500 of those credits on gifts for other people. And it better be a good one, if you only buy one! (She will ask that you do not buy her presents, however. She appreciates the sentiment, but it seems sort of silly buying her things with her own money! If you'd like to gift her, please have it be something more personal or handmade, but you are not obligated to get her anything at all.) ► TREATMENTS: The beginning of the holidays will also be about the time that the emergency Medical Team will have finalized their treatments for the Prince's poisoning. Watch out for further information on that - and make sure to get treated if you are suffering from petrification or poison induced illness! The holidays will be a lot more fun that way. |

As they head back to his cabin, though, he does cut 9S a sharp little smirk. "Couldn't have come cheap. Trying to suck up to her?"
You know, to make up for that little matter of killing her.
no subject
Like she was an android like him.
"What? No!"
But because of the way Lambert says it, 9S can't help but feel a little defensive; this is going to be just like when they were talking about swords, isn't it?
"I just wanted to give her something nice! She told me about what she's trying to do back home, so I thought I'd get something that would help her. That's all!"
no subject
"'That's all,' is it?" he mimics, mockingly. "Then why are you getting so worked up about it?" As they come to the porch of his cabin, he pauses to knock the snow off his boots, then proceeds right inside.
no subject
He follows Lambert's example and knocks the snow off his boots -- not something he usually bothers with -- before following the witcher inside.
"They were just gifts," he grumbles under his breath.
no subject
One had better hope 9S's reflexes are quick, because after rummaging around in one of the drawers for a bit, Lambert comes up with a bow-decorated paper bag that he casually tosses over to the android.
"This one's for you. Happy solstice."
no subject
For some reason, Lambert buying him a gift surprises him. Well, surprises him even more than Rita or Strange buying him something. Lambert is his boss, after all. But it's even wrapped?? It just never struck him as a thing Lambert would bother with.
"...Really?"
no subject
"It is," he affirms, casually. "Figured you deserved something for all that work at the manor. You can open it now or later, doesn't make a difference to me."
no subject
Opening the paper bag, 9S discovers a... pill? 9S pulls it free from its confines. "What's this? Drugs?"
Well, humans did like their drugs, if old world records were anything to go by. Before Lambert answers, 9S immediately puts the pill in his mouth and swallows.
His expression freezes.
no subject
"... hello? Anyone in there?"
U asked for this
Somewhere, in the back of his mind, frustration wells up at the lack of sensation, while the rest of him marvels at the overwhelming wave of pleasure originating from contact with his hand.
He tries to ask Lambert what's happening to him -- what exactly did Lambert give him? -- but what comes out instead is a shuddering moan as he gasps out, "Lambert!" as if he wants the witcher's help... or just wants him.
His vision is darkening at the corners, only dimly aware of Pod 153's voice--
< Alert: Black box temperature rising. Vitals abnormal. Proposal: initiate system diagnosis >
--before he lets out noises that's somewhere between crying and screaming as his back arches, riding out the pill's effects until it feels like there's nothing left in him to give.
His knees are weak, it takes everything in him to stay standing, panting. "W-what was that?"
there are no icons that accurately convey "well I just induced climax in an android"
Only where 9S is confused by what's going on, Lambert catches on much faster. He watches with a mix of chagrin and laughter as 9S's body works through the effects of the pill, hand half-extended to reach out and steady him when he looks like he's about to fall over, but then he calls out his name like that and he changes his mind. Which turns out to be a great idea when he starts arching and crying out, loud enough to make Lambert wince in sympathy (and all right, a little envy) as he rides out what looks and sounds like a really, really good climax.
"Don't you have anything more useful to say than that?" He asks the pod scathingly, rolling his eyes. Well, considering it doesn't have much of any other reaction, it's probably nothing fatal. It occurs to him, absently, that if they share memories then it's entirely likely pod's going to be able to play this memory back later, in excruciating detail. Hopefully, that's not one 9S is inclined to share. When 9S gasps his question out, the witcher shakes his head.
"According to the caravan? The best orgasm you'll ever have." Companionably, Lambert claps him on the shoulder, but with a little less force than he normally would. "And, if I'm not wrong, also your first. Congratulations, you're an exhibitionist."
no subject
"Why would you give me something like that?" Still feeling the pleasant fuzz of the pill's after effects, his words don't come out as heated as he intended them to be.
Damn it... if he'd known the pill was supposed to do that beforehand, maybe he would've enjoyed it more, instead of having his processors overloading from his fear and confusion over what was happening to him. A wasted opportunity!
But even worse, he just... yeah... right in front of his boss!? And he'd been loud! Just bury him under the snow, immediately! He doesn't want to be an exhibitionist!
9S groans, covering his face with one hand. "Can you forget that happened?" Please.
no subject
Satisfied 9S isn't about to keel over, he releases him, crossing his arms. "You want to know more about humans, don't you? That's as human as it gets. Of course, we don't usually have that experience in public, but I wasn't exactly expecting you to just stick it in your mouth like that either."
In other words, 9S doesn't really have anyone but himself to blame there! It could be worse -- at least they were inside the cabin. There'd be even more potential for awkward questions if it had been outside.
no subject
"Humans don't usually hit the peak of, uh. Sexual excitement just like that, right?"
They go through the whole process of kissing and sex. Sex. The thing he would like to experience but never got around to asking for the parts; he didn't think he'd get the chance to use them.
He could've probably asked one of the other androids to try them out with, but really, there was only one android he wanted as his partner...
9S looks away, the heat slowly subsiding from his face, but he's still no less embarrassed. Biting his lip, he mumbles, "I'd rather go through the whole process."
no subject
"It's also usually messier." He doesn't make any real effort to disguise the way his gaze drifts down, scrutinizing 9S's clothes. "A lot messier. Be glad you missed out on that part."
no subject
9S cringes when Lambert openly looks down, half turning to escape that scrutinising gaze, all too aware that he's lacking the proper equipment.
"Yeah, I know!" That it's messy. 9S huffs. "So, umm..." Is there really a good way to ask this? But Lambert brought this on himself, getting on to this topic in the first place! "Have you had a lot of sex, then? With the number of records left behind, humans seem almost obsessed with it."
no subject
But as to the rest of it ... Lambert just raises his brows at 9S. "How much sex do you think I've had?" he drawls, tossing the question right back at 9S. If he's going to ask questions like that, he should be prepared for a hell of a lot of teasing from Lambert.
no subject
"Ummm... well, records weren't always the written word or illustrations. There were videos, too. They always featured young adult humans, as if older humans never had sex."
9S taps his foot, hand at his chin as he thinks over his response.
"You're old for a human, but look young. Sooo... maybe more than the average human?"
no subject
"Oh, older humans have plenty of sex. People just don't like thinking about it." But now, on to the more interesting point:
"What do you mean, videos?"
no subject
Huh? The confusion is clear on his face. "You know, like when I showed you what happened in the manor at night on Pod 153? Humans also made videos of all sorts of things. Cats. Food. Sex. Lots of sex. Lots of cats, too."
Not sex with cats, though. Cat people, on the other hand...
no subject
Why sex? Why cats? Lambert's face says it all, really. Gross! Why cats? It's not like he wants the things dead, but he can't fathom wanting to preserve that as a memory.
"Thought videos were supposed to be for something important."
no subject
Is Lambert not a cat person? Maybe he's a dog person... or just a donkey person? Somehow he can't see Lambert keep fish at pets like so many androids do.
"If there's so many videos, doesn't that mean it's important?"
no subject
"It's important, but it's not that important. Just because I'm human doesn't mean I know how every human thinks -- and the humans in your world don't sound all that smart."
no subject
9S still hasn't looked inside the paperbag for the rest of his gift from Lambert.
"Besides, I only have information about the records us androids recovered. Everything else, we've either yet to recover or it was destroyed when mankind was nearly wiped out."
no subject
"Maybe all the smart humans were too busy making you instead of making stupid videos," Lambert says, grinning like the shithead he is. Satisfied to have provoked 9S, and he reaches out to ruffle his hair. "We're not all the same, you know. Humans barely understand each other." And he pauses, hand still stuck on 9S's head, as a puzzled expression crosses his face. Hold on...
"Humanity was almost wiped out? By what?"
