The journey to the moon only takes a blink of an eye, but it leaves the carnival far away beneath you. The second moon can be seen on the peripheral, massive compared to its usual view. At least when the holidays start out, there will be no notable wildlife on the moon, though this is something you can talk to the Ringmaster about if you think it needs a change. It sounds like this is the first time she's used it in quite a while - it probably needs some dusting off!

Claim your cabins, and proceed to... well, do whatever you want! There is no rush and little obligation, besides to enjoy yourself. For real, this time. She promises there will be no vampires. Or, at least, none that don't already work for the carnival.

► CABINS: Living arrangements are character choice for this event, and there are a variety of cabins of various sizes, mostly built to house 2-6 people, though you can fit more in if you squish. They are all made of wood and of a rustic design - no fancy modern furniture, here! Each building is housed with a fireplace and the needed amenities. You can pick up materials to cook with the private kitchens if you like. Theoretically, you could spend the whole holiday sequestered away, watching the snow fall. Some of them also have outdoor hot tubs available!

► ACTIVITIES: Activities are mostly going to be character driven, though there will be some large group games like bingo and maybe a poker tournament happening at some point in one of the festival halls. Otherwise, there is a lot to offer: skiing, snowboarding, hiking, ice sculpting, snowball fights - it goes on! If you'd like to run a winter activity, just let the mods know, and we will get the word out there for you.

► FEASTING: Every day isn't a full-out feast because that would get a bit unhealthy, but there will be a number of specific feast events over the holidays where everyone is encouraged to let out their inner hedonist and stuff themselves. There will be one big feast per week, with smaller but also delicious meals offered in between. The feast dates will be B12, B18, and B24. There's also plenty of alcohol available for anyone who wants it.

► SHOPPING: As mentioned in the planning post, there is a massive market being run by the World Walker Caravan! The Ringmaster has given everyone 1250 credits to spend on items, but there is a caveat - must spend at least 500 of those credits on gifts for other people. And it better be a good one, if you only buy one! (She will ask that you do not buy her presents, however. She appreciates the sentiment, but it seems sort of silly buying her things with her own money! If you'd like to gift her, please have it be something more personal or handmade, but you are not obligated to get her anything at all.)

► TREATMENTS: The beginning of the holidays will also be about the time that the emergency Medical Team will have finalized their treatments for the Prince's poisoning. Watch out for further information on that - and make sure to get treated if you are suffering from petrification or poison induced illness! The holidays will be a lot more fun that way.

[Yuya gives Gon a completely unapologetic smile.] You said she was getting antsy, right? I bet she needs to have some fun.

Th-that is true, but somehow, your timing... [Wooof, regardless-] Hmmm...if perhaps, we can help her to adjust to the cold...she will likely enjoy things more...

[Yuya snickers at Gon's protests, snuggling Suzu close to the warmth of his coat.

He points forward.] We can start with a small one then! [That'll be easier for Suzu to acclimate without them running around too far trying to father snow, so he waves around to the less trampled snow just ahead of them as sits down.

He's already gathering snow, but he does look expectantly at Gon to follow.]

[He can't believe you stole his dog Yuuya, he just can't-

But she doesn't seem to mind at least, and so with a small sigh, Gongenzaka is coming over to stoop down as well. Really, he has to lie down to do this properly, all four legs curling under his fur until it looks like he's sitting inside a bush.

But hey if there's one thing he's good at-scooping snow. These hands are Enormous.]

[Yuya sets Suzu in his lap, stroking her head for a moment before he helps Gongenzaka with building the base--it's true, having someone bigger means the long part of the job gets done way faster.

Especially since Yuya gets frequently distracted with his dog, ruffling her fur or dabbing snow on her nose or watching her roll on or off his lap.

He starts smoothing the snow at the base once they have a good bottom going.] Oh, Gongenzaka. Remember when you were drunk?

[He sounds a little amused when he says it, like it's some private joke. Which, in retrospect, it was pretty hilarious.]

MNGH- [AND NOW, YOU BRING THIS UP- He pauses as he gathers snow,
mumbling a bit under his breath as his ears twitch.]

....Somewhat, [he manages, frowning.] ...I, the man Gongenzaka, should hope nothing was broken....

[Or said. OR SAID!!]

No, thankfully. [Nothing broken on Yuya's person either, considering he spent like eight hours crushed under his buddy.

With the excess snow he starts molding into the shape of a small cone.] Actually, I was wondering about what you were talking about before you passed out. Something about being lost? What was that?

[Yuya hasn't been dwelling on it, exactly. But he's reminded of the word choice, and if his friend has some sort of internal conflicts going on, he'd want to know.]

[.......................................Honestly he's having troubles himself.] ....................Lost?

[Yuya stops his snow sculpting and looks up at him.] ... You really were out of it.

[What the hell was in that cure. He raises an eyebrow, and then he just cracks an amused smirk.] You started saying something about how you'd be lost without me, but I guess you were just really drunk.

[He's sure he's heard that people say dumb things when drunk. If it's not that there's something Gongenzaka is dwelling on, then that's fine.] You fell asleep right there!

That is what drunkenness does, after all, [he mutters, apparently still sore about it. And-lost? He blinks, raising his eyebrows.] Lost?

....Mnhhh... ...were we perhaps speaking of if the other were gone, then? While Lost is perhaps not the word... ...I, the man Gongenzaka, certainly cannot imagine a life without our friendship..!

Kind of. [He smashes the snow cone and starts gathering more to form a proper ball for the next part of the snowman.] Uh, not that I'm going anywhere! When our contracts are over, we're definitely all going home.

[No one left behind, no one dying in the meantime. He smiles brightly as he sets the snowball atop the current one.] It was just... I'm glad we're friends, too.

[He really does have the best friends he could ask for. Selfishly, he wants to cling to them no matter what.]

C-Certainly!! Though there could potentially be a split in our timing, we will absolutely return home! [He's not going to mention that if he said 'lost' they were likely talking of death or thinking of it or.... ....Yeah.

He nods, pausing from where he's more or less forming a snow pillar more than anything.] ...As am I, Yuuya.

[Yuya looks down at the snowman thoughtfully. It's a few months, and he should trust Gongenzaka to make it back on his own, but...

He tries to keep his expression light, but when he speaks his tone is heavy.]

If you make another contract, you have to promise to make it home at the end, okay? I'll be waiting for you.

[Even though there's no it, because no force will make Gon leave Yuya as things are. If only the Ringmaster would do shorter contracts...]

[That is quite a heavy tone, and not one Gongenzaka quite expects. All the same, it is met with calm, and a smile.]

Aaaah. And if for whatever reason, you do the same...I, the man Gongenzaka, shall patiently wait as well..!

[Yuya laughs, because of course he seems like he'd just sign another contract in retaliation. He's thought about it.

The second part of the base is set it for the snowman, now. They'll have to move too find any decorations for it, so for now Yuya just starts building another snowball, his gaze kept down.]

Sure. [But Gon would totally make another one if Yuya did. Do it once, do it twice.

There's a pause before he crushes the snowball with a sigh.] You know, I was afraid of being too late. I was afraid we'd really loose Yuzu when Academia came for her. And you too, I...

[Have been scared to lose.]

[That is a rather quiet 'sure', and Yuuya's feelings are as transparent as a pane of frosted glass. Gongenzaka pauses in his work at merely carving the snow-pillar, a softer gaze upon his friend.]

...I, the man Gongenzaka....have been rather unfair, in that regard, haven't I, [He admits quietly.]

...Though I can give my word... ...I, the man Gongenzaka, have shamefully proven that my word is not enough... [That much he understands. That much tells him he can't risk such things again.]

[Yuya purses his lips for a moment, using his thumb to poke eye holes into the snowman.] I guess I can't completely blame you.

[For being unfair. Yuya still hasn't proven he can handle taking on the burden as well. He too can say whatever he wants, but until he's actually stronger...

Yuya's been unfair, too. Getting angry at Gongenzaka when he hasn't done anything to prove he can handle himself.

He starts to engrave a smile on the snowman next, his gaze flicking up to Gon.]

Hey. [His hands settle on the base of the snowman and he offers am earnest smile.] It just means I need to make sure you don't get lost, right? But you won't lose me, either.

[He won't... well, okay, he might still be reckless. But he doesn't want to be a martyr and just sacrifice himself. He wants to protect Gongenzaka, and Yuzu, and everyone else, and that takes more than throwing himself in front of the danger for as many times as they can afford to resurrect him.

Keep moving forward. That's what he'll do.] If we can't promise to stay out of trouble, let's promise that.

[Promise to keep each other here. To make it home, all of them, no matter what.]

PfffH-HOH-! [He half laughs, half chokes, nearly knocking his snow pillar over. 'Lost', of course! It clears into a more strong laugh however, and he claps the other's shoulder-a bit more gently now that he's conscious of what he's doing, naturally.]

Aaah! That, most certainly, is a promise which I, the man Gongenzaka, feel we can keep..!

Rff! [...Agrees Suzu.]

[Yuya scoops Suzu up in his arms when she responds. He ducks his face down, hiding the embarrassment that starts to burn and shakes his head.] I'm being serious!

[The metaphor has kind of gotten away from him, but he's certain in his conviction. He's not going to fail his precious people again. What else is he learning magic for?]

Hmn! What-I am not allowed to laugh, where I, the man Gongenzaka, feel we have come to a positive agreement? [He huffs, crossing his arms.] This is good, is it not?

...Laughter, after all...should be for more than mere jokes! [it's normally for jokes gon]

No, I didn't mean it like that... [He mumbles, face still flushed with embarassment--but for a slightly different reason, now. Gongenzaka is too severe of a person to be anything but straight forward. But Yuya's sensitive, especially when he feels he has something to prove.

Gongenzaka isn't looking for him to prove anything, though. That's all on him.] It's a promise, then!

[Some things just never change. The laughter dies, though the smile doesn't fade.] Yuuya.

...As you said-it is a promise; and I, the man Gongenzaka....have absolute faith in that promise you have made, aah?

[He looks up when Gongenzaka calls his name, and after his affirmation Yuya smiles, too.]

Yeah. Me too. [Not that there was any doubt in Yuya about Gongenzaka. Keeping Yuya on track was something he and Yuzu had already been doing. Still, that faith in return is enough to bring him right back up.

He adjusts his hold on Suzu before carefully getting to his feet.] Let's find some twigs and stuff for our snowman.

Hmn! Twigs, you say..? [Suzu squirms a bit, but yips excitedly as the mane on Gongenzaka's back rustles.

He sure is holding out a vine, like a dweeb.]

[Yuya blinks, staring blankly for a moment... and then he bites his lip as he barely conceals a sound of amusement.]

Yeah, that works too. [Actually, it reminds him...] You gave Connie a piece of your mane, didn't you? Isn't it kind of like your hair...?
